Aug 15, 2017Very Nice thing to Play. Storyline is just perfect, a little bit sad, but very moving! The First impression was so genuine! I have never felt horrified while playing, despite the fact that you play alone with nobody alive around, only past, that is tragic and unhappy!

Apr 14, 2018It is indeed a beautiful and captivating story. Every minute in this game was worth it, simply incredible.

Feb 15, 2019Very good but slightly short game that explores a very old house with some very interesting mysteries.
-
Apr 10, 2018The game introduces entirely new mechanics and ways to tell the story every couple of minutes. It's only 3 hours long, but it's very refreshing. It may not be the best story ever told in video games, but it's not about the story itself, it's about how this story is being presented to the viewer.

Jan 28, 2018What a **** amazing masterpiece. The atmosphere is a true work of art. The story just grips and doesnt let you go untill the very end. The visuals are just outstanding. I cried like a baby at the end. Just.****.Play.This.Masterpiece.

Oct 3, 2018The best title in it's genre. Lots of unique and clever ideas. Very close to 10/10!
-
Oct 12, 2018I am starting disappointed for metacritic. People here is unreasonably picky and I even saw a 0 score for Edith Finch..unbelievable. I will give 9.5 for its brave and beautiful narratation!

Jan 12, 2019I will remember this game forever...........................................................................................................................

Feb 25, 2019This is a perfect example of a game that is primarily exploration/story-based that allows for enough creative interactivity to keep the story going. If more so-called "walking simulators" took notes from What Remains of Edith Finch, the genre would be better-viewed on the whole.

May 8, 2017This is the easiest 10 I gave to a game lately. It's unique, fantastic, moving and beautiful. Also, it's the saddest thing I've ever played, which is a lot, given the existence of To The Moon.

May 24, 2017A beautiful game in every sense of the word. The story, voice work, gameplay and visuals were all done so expertly, I can't fault any aspect of this game. It made me feel every emotion possible from laugh out loud happiness to complete sadness, this was a truly wonderful experience that I can't recommend highly enough.

Jul 8, 2017Wonderful visuals, unique and heartbreaking story. It's short and sweet. It's definitely one of the most surprising games of the year. I'm sure it's going to be nominated for the best indie and I'm hoping it wins

Sep 1, 2017Great story, great characters, great music and a great game. This game is so fun to play. I think it deserves a GOTY nominee at least. Love that and I can recommend this to everyone.
-
May 3, 2017Amazing! It really does get sad the closer you get to the end. And since I had it on PC their were only maybe 2 or 3 times that my fps dipped down into to the 30- 40's. Other than that it was a nice 60 + fps. I really would recommend this game to people who love good stories. Just sit back and enjoy the game.

Sep 8, 2019I'm so proud this game won BAFTA Game of The Year award, totally deserves it, everyone should play it. Brilliant story.
-
May 5, 2017This is sincerely one of the best games I've ever played. What this team gets and is so often missed by other developers is that in a story driven game, you should tell it in a way that only a game can. The mechanics of storytelling in What Remains of Edith Finch are the new bar set that all future developers should strive to achieve.
-
May 4, 2017This is clearly one of the best games ever created. It won't be for everyone but the story is great, the characters fine, the cinematography spectacular. Whoever made this must be praised.

Game World Navigator MagazineJul 5, 2017Leisurely exploration of the estate is interspersed with stories about the last days of different Finch family members – and these moments show that developers didn’t just proclaim their love for H.P. Lovecraft, Neil Gaiman and other masters of magical realism, they really know that stuff. Giant Sparrow draws you into the little girl’s dreamworld just as easily as it paints a picture of kingly ambitions of a factory worker. [Issue#221, p.81]
-
LEVEL (Czech Republic)Jul 5, 2017Beautiful, bittersweet, artistic, frank and engaging game. Just a shame of the scope that does not allow to move from a captivating start into a completely satisfactory final. [Issue#275]
-
CD-ActionJun 30, 2017The game tells intriguing stories and leaves room for interpretation but is short, linear and devoid of true tension. [07/2017, p.60]
