Watch Dogs: Legion is a departure from the typical Ubisoft brand, and it's better for it. The play as anybody system just works, there's a lot to do, and it's unabashedly political in a way that feels important in 2020.

Watch Dogs: Legion is an interesting game with an innovative system and a compelling story. It’s not a blockbuster hit and it probably won’t make the running for GOTY this year, but its experimental systems and socially resonant plot make it worth checking out.

The newest Ubisoft open world title surprisingly enough sets innovation as its priority; and succeeds. A feature that lets you play any character is impressive and works quite well in the world of a dystopian London. The only real issues are a lack of challenge and rewards combined with a mixed enemy AI.

Watch Dogs: Legion offers an incredibly vast recruitment system that wonderfully complements its hacking mechanics while boasting the darkest story in the series.

It’s a good playground for the people who like to explore the world and experiment with NPC behavior. But if you’re looking for memorable characters and thrilling story – that’s not your cup of tea. [Issue#249, p.60]

Richly realised systems and empowering abilities create a tremendously fun sandbox to dig into, but another toothless story ensures these flashes of brilliance never cohere, leaving Legion feeling less than the sum of its parts.

A group of disparate people with unique strengths and weaknesses come together to try to save London from a high-tech dystopia. Unfortunately, I couldn't care less about any of them.

Now that I've seen it in action, I am quite disappointed.
The enviroment is stunning. Futuristic european city mixing the old and brand new architecture looks breathtaking and I just love roaming these streets. But that's where Ubisoft excellance ends. Story is alright, but could use more drive. Game lets you decide some moral decisions yet they don't feel like it. Idea of recycling is good, but not in games. Visiting the same location for a fifth time is just no go.
As for the play as anyone you wish, interesting concept, but not greatly excecuted and not really suitable for this. You can recruit people via one of 7 generic quests, which makes you drive all across London back and forth. You will use the metro system for this a lot, but you have to discover all those station first (like the devs never saw a map in metro). It doesn't feel like you can play anyone. You can play as someone acting like one of few written characters and sometimes it just feels weird. I also haven't seen a difference in recruiting with liberated borough, quests are the same. This system doesn't allow you to build anything towards the character, because you can just replace him like a pawn in a strategy game. This means cutscenes are more generic and less personal, previous titles have them done better. I'd say this was not so successful side step, but interesting experiment nontheless.
Don't buy it for the full price, buy a Uplay+ for a month, it's enough time to play it once since you'll likely won't replay it again in the future.

Lots of bugs! in this game Ubisoft taught me to only buy your games in future promotions. because only then are your games working well.

It's definitely the worst WD game in terms of visuals, animations, story and gameplay.
