    If you have any prejudices about mobile games, look past them and get stuck in – Warhammer 40,000: Deathwatch Enhanced Edition is the real deal.

    While not a complex top-down, turn-based strategy RPG, Warhammer 40,000: Deathwatch – Enhanced Edition does a nice job of laying a solid groundwork from the beginning in tactical options, challenge and character progression.

    Warhammer 40,000: Deathwatch is pretty solid and rich for a mobile game. Unfortunately the Enhanced Edition is for PC but might still be worth a try.

    Visuals:Not that great.It looks ok in the loadoutscreen.The tactical map looks not that great and i really dont like the camera.The angle the game uses is kinda awkward for me.

    Sound:Really terrible.I have no idea if this is a bug but for me the voiceovers is almost silent and i cant find an option to turn the vioces up or the enviromental sound down.The "intro" for example is voiced and i cant hear **** good music in this game and this is a shame cause that is not really expensive i think.

    Gameplay:The gameplay itself is solid.You can do some things per turn including using skills.The problem is while this is all ok for a mobile game for a PC game this is not enough.Youll need some missions to unlock skills.Until then you are stuck with boring Marines.They can do exactly one thing:Shooting xenos and move.Unlocking skills costs XP.Most of the skills are expensive.When a skill costs you 12k XP youll have to play9-12 missions.The progression is too slow.Here you see that the mobile game was about buying boosters in the long term.They changed the game quite a bit for PC because no one would pay for progress in such an ugly and boring game.In the PC port youll get packs for free.Youll unlock new marines, weapons and other wargear.But for most things youll need XP(item slots for grenades and stuff need to be unlocked which gets quite expensive) which needs playtime.
    Youll need to play often through the campaign to unlock the better stuff and i dont think the content is interesting enough to do that.The missions are generic and often boring.Sometimes they throw in a nice objective or the map is exploding for example and you need to be carefull where to go next.

    What i hate is when games are too easy and you cant change the dificulty.In your first playthrough you can only play on easy.Its painfully dull because most of the xenos die pretty quick.They are not strong enough individually and they never really outnumber you enough.I stopped playing after 22 Missions i think because it was boring, repetetive.

    Conclusion:Right now the game is 10% off at 20,69€.I know the devs put really some effort into the port.The problem is it never pays off.The gameplay is solid enough for mobile but for PC it is too shallow.

    My rating for the game itself is a 6.The proble is it is bugged and suffers from technical issues.When i first loaded the game i thought my PC crashed.After 3 tries i was really pissed and googled it only to find out the game needs MINUTES(!!!) to load only the starting screen.It takes more MINUTES to load the mission.I looked one time at the clock, 5 minutes until i could really play.What the heck????My PC runs modern games more or less just fine.Its not a new PC but when my PC can run Far Cry for example just fine this game cant do that to me.This might be a bug or not, its my experience.Besides the hilarious loading times the game crashes every 5-10 minutes.No other game i play crashes.

    Because of the technical issues my final score is a 4.Dont buy this game.Buy X-Com or one of it clones.Maybe at 10 bucks its a buy if you are a fan of the frenchise.    … Full Review »

    Superb adaptation and solid gameplay. With more polishing it could have been uber, like all rodeo games.
