Nov 30, 2021As True an attempt at the tabletop form embodied in a video game I have ever played, true Warhammer fans should appreciate the aesthetic as well as the game play.

Aug 20, 2021Strongly recommend this game, it's one of the best Warhammer 40k games so far. It appeals on so many levels, good tactical challenges, serious strategic planning as you decide how to upgrade your people and much more. Even the music is good.

Jul 27, 2021Great turnbased 40k game
Good sound, and music
Interesting lore
Great gamplay
And decent graphics.
I played on the second hardest difficulty, and to be honest it was to easy. might give it another go on hardest difficulty.
I would LOVE to play this game with more races and factions, hopefully it will come. either in dlc or in a sequel -
Aug 8, 2021The gameplay was alright, though there's not a lot of variation throughout the missions. The story throws too much Warhammer gibberish at you and it's hard to follow what they're talking about at times.
Date Completed: 2021-08-08
Playtime: 20h
Enjoyment: 7/10
Recommendation: There aren't a lot of new, playable turn-based games. It's worth a go. -

Jul 26, 2021Really enjoyable turn based WH40k up to company sized battle simulator with a narrative tying together 20 battles in the SP mode. Catches the flavour of the TT and the mood of the setting.
Big achievement for a small developer. Hopefully a lot more to come from them as they take this base and expand upon it. -
May 16, 2022Feels cheap, pacing is too slow, animations and sounds are weird, overhaul it is very dull.

Sep 3, 2023Good gameplay all around but with one HUGE feature missing - changing HQ upgrades. If you reach the sisters of battle mission an haven't bought the infantry unit frag grenade feature, you can't possibly save any of them (even with a fleet of land speeders, I tried) Doesn't block progress, but it feels like bad design. You won't get many HQ upgrade points for that mission because of the failure.

LEVEL (Czech Republic)Feb 17, 2022A pleasant peek for fans of univers, who want more "forties". The remaining players of turn-based strategies lets look elsewhere. There is a lot to choose from.

Dec 2, 2021If you like your battles tactical then this is a great game to sink you teeth into. The campaign escalates nicely and does a good job of selling the desperation of your mission. Being able to easily switch out your units and play around with army composition is also a really nice touch that means you don’t end up locked into a single playstyle. Campaign re-playability is somewhat lacking but the skirmish mode gives you the chance to play against friends so there is that. Considering how many new campaigns and modes were added to Deadlock over the years, we can probably expect some expansions in the future.

CD-ActionOct 12, 2021This solid turned-based tactical game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe and focused on the struggle of the Blood Angels against nightmarish Tyranids is more fun than you might expect. It definitely deserves the Emperor’s blessing. [10/2021, p.30]
