This game has a good idea behind it, and its obvious that a huge amount of work went into the graphics and gameplay. Add to that the problem of hideously occurring environments and enemies, and you have a great looking, great sounding game which leaves me just wanting something more. I feel like the problem was that the dev team made the game, complete with assets and game logic, without asking the opinion of anyone NOT involved with the project. Were I making a passion project, and just wanted to make a butt-baby of MGS and Ninja Gaiden, this would be a visually acceptable result. However, I, personally, dont have all that much attachment to this game's visuals (well made though they may be), so the game's numerous and glaring gameplay flaws force me to give this game a 4. This is an action based game but it does get repetitive. Unless you are willing to drop some cash on new weapons and Warframes then you will spend a good amount of time either grinding levels or farming for crafting items.

One measure of a good free to play for me boils down to one question: Can you unlock everything without spending money? This is true with nearly everything in game.(for the exception of cosmetic upgrades) The real money market is quite pricey though but you can acquire new weapons in a relative short amount of time. Different planets drop different gear, this means you will be jumping around quite a bit from one to the next trying to find the crafting gear you need.

This game is great fun, but it is not for everyone. If you do not like grinding then you should look somewhere else. If you like Diablo, then you will find a lot to like. (It is the best grinding for level and gear comparison I can make)

Graphics are great, some levels can feel the same after awhile and they are quite large so there is a learning curve to following the objective marker. When you first start out you will get lost and left behind. Solo missions are good for leveling up, but the game is not well suited for it. Solo you will be faced with almost overwhelming odds, adds a good amount of challenge but can be unfair especially with missions that require you to carry data packages and they take away your primary weapon for half the mission.

Overall great game. It is still being improved upon and it keeps getting better.

Warframe is only in beta and yet i still find it worth coming back to for more game play. The devs seem to take care and pride in their product and keep trying to push it forward with improvements and content. Having the ability to be completely free-to-play is a huge plus when its fun enough to drop a little money on the warframe and/or weapons that would fit your desired play style. Regardless of trying to avoid the cash shop you still have to to get extra slots for your Warframes and Guns which is much needed as you play further. The difficulty of the game also hangs in the balance on your credit card balance. So I enjoyed the game and paid 50 dollars to be a founder to get a new Warframe and some value Platinum and restarted and soloed at the beginning with this new Frame with weapons bought from Cash Shop and was it a lot easier over my first Warframe that had massive amounts of difficulty on the first parts. As you get further though all Cash Shop weapons are purchasable even by in-game money but you have to build most of the awesome ones via blueprints.

Graphics and Visuals: There is nothing truly outstanding in this game that you haven't seen before. Nothing really game breaking or amazing. The bloom though is overtoned to the point where I had to turn it off because White Warframes are blindly bright.

Sound, Music, and Voice Acting: Nothing you haven't heard before. Guns go boom. Enemies scream. There is one hilarious thing where you capture people and they are just screaming their heads off though it'll get tiring after awhile. The music may be repetitive but I never get tired of it! It gets me pumped and is truly amazing. The drums and the beat just gets you pumped and wanting to shoot everything! Voice acting... well... there's not much to go by here. The game has some stupid alerts though. I mean really irrelevant like telling me what type bad guys are up ahead but later in the game that becomes useful as you'll run into a variety of them. One thing that was really stupid was saying "Something is wrong, there is a heavy unit approaching." I'M SHOOTING UP THEIR ENTIRE BASE/SHIP! Of course something is wrong!

Story: This is non existent. Seriously. Bad guys are taking over the universe. You are a killer robot. Stop them. After that... yep nothing.

Difficulty and Replay Value: You won't see any real challenge if you use the cash shop at the start. This game will be extremely hard at the start and end if you don't use it. The end game gets a lot harder with or without cash shop. This game is extremely repetitive but it keeps my interest so it is hit or miss for people. You shoot you run you rinse and repeat until you complete the 1 of 5 different objectives.

Multiplayer: Well it's an MMO... there is no PvP and I'd certainly hope so because only certain guns are worth using and are overpowered. Not to mention those who buy via cash shop would have an unfair advantage early levels.

Overall: This game is nothing special and nothing great. It's a game that will either stick to you or not. I enjoy the game so I like it but... even then my score isn't going to be biased. It's a 4 out of 10... because... well it's nothing game breaking or new... I just really enjoy being a killer robot lol.

It have lots of content for a looter game, also P2P trading mechanics bring balance between players, game have lots of varieties, flexibility and small RPG mechanics makes it interesting for a long run, it's F2P game that delivers AAA level content, with even better balanced economics, that does not require to purchase DCLs, to finally get full and properly working game, almost every quarter DE deliver new updates, some are small, standard and common, some are huge, original and epic, you can find a lots of genre specific and standard content in Warframe, but also lots of positively surprising and innovative elements.
If you like action games, with mixed mechanics, with great combat, with diverse and flexible content, with really interesting quests and story, if you want MMO game for a long run, than I really recommend you to play Warframe, it's a Free to Play, without purchasable DLCs, with Trading system, which easily enables to get every single game element for Free, no matter, it's a character (Frame) or cosmetics, where players are not devided, where you always can play solo or with friends, and always updating with new and interesting content, and what's important for free.

One of the best MMOs I've ever played. The graphics are really beautiful, it gets lots of updates and it's free to play. There is a marketplace where you can buy stuff with real money, but it's not really necessary. after playing for almost 100 hours, the only thing I bought was a color pack for my warframes.
The best and the most important part of this game in my opinion is farming.

This is a loot game at heart, as good as any MMO, but it is a over the shoulder shooter. I have to say do not trust the other reviews. Right now this game is actually the best shooter that is available on any platform. Better than Call of Duty and Battlefield. The fact that this game is available on PS4 and is free is just amazing, as it takes advantage of graphics of the PS4 which are just as good as any high end PC. The game is ongoing much like a massively multiplayer gamer, with updates of new warframes and weapons and levels that come out every month or two. The chat interface and trading between players. It has a few bugs, but they were fixed quickly. This game is not a rehash of those although it burrows heavily from many games. The game itself is beautiful and stylish and the developer deserves better review scores so I decided to write them a short review.

Warframe features space ninja combat suits called Tenno that wage war on ships, planets, and beautiful environments where regular humans would easily die. Let us just say these things are like Samurai/Ninja of the future or Green Berets/Speznaz of today. Warframes or Tenno as they are called are an elite and powerful force but they fight for good, although the game does not explain where they came from in detail. It gives you enough of a background to start. I should mention that they should explain how Mods, and Leveling up works a little bit better in the beginning. This game is deep and does take a while to get into. The interface can be daunting at the start, but jumping into a mission is easy as you go from planet to planet, and you kill enemies and get stronger.

The game is essentially about collecting loot, such as weapons, warframes, mods (which make you stronger). I've only played this game for about a month, and I must say that I cannot wait to go home and play this. Warframe is so amazing.

I would love to list all the great features that Warframe has such as a deep damage system, with different damage types against armor, flesh and robotic enemies. The game has some cool nad unique weapons such as ninja stars, glaive, and kunai. It also has the standard weaponry you would expect like flamethrowers, rocket launchers, bows, rifles, shotguns, machine guns. These weapons are so fun to play with they are almost like characters in themselves, as its fun as hell to install Mods, and Forma and Orokin reactors which make your weapons stronger. The weapons game is deep.

Moving around the environment, you can spring, slide, wall-run, and do some amazing maneuvers just like a Ninja would. Funny as that sounds.

The models and weapons are well designed. The other reviews did not give this game a proper look. The first time I played this, I was put off as well, and when I picked up this game a few weeks later I slowly started to get into it. This game is simply awesome. Take into account I am placing this game on PS4. And with the last few updates, the reviewers need to take a second look at Warframe.

The crafting game is deep, yet simple and all the items that cost you Platinum can be acquired in other ways. So people who are broke can get strong in this game too. I myself have craftet the flamethrower called Ignis, and the rocket launcher which has to be charged to fire. But my favorite weapon in Warframe is the SOMA rifle, it has a high amount of crit which can be modded for high critical damage shots. The game has in-game events which give you rewards and can be tackled with a group of friends. They also have void missions with keys which you acquire through different missions like defense. The void missions have extra powerful weapons and warframes which are called Primes and their blue prints can be acquired through running void missions. The recruitment chat is a good place to look for people to team up with for running Void missions.

They just released a new update today with Oberon Warframe, and new weapons, so I cannot wait to go home and play it. I highly recommend Warframe to anyone!

Warframe was a fun at first, but after finishing a few planets there is just too much repetition and grinding. I stopped playing the game at Update 7 and started again at Update 12. Now I stopped again after Update 14 because the grind is just insane. I have a total of 394 hours on it. Warframe is just another Pay To Win game. Each update includes many fun weapons and some new additions…

    - Free to play?
Before you invest your time and money in this potentially wonderful but actually disappointing game please read on.
Welcome to Warframe where you will be asked to invest real money to buy in game platinum currency which is used in a nonrefundable manner to purchase items that improve your otherwise useless "free" weaponry.
Then watch your weaponry (for which you have paid real money) get arbitrarily destroyed by nerfing. While new items are then offered to you in the market for real cash to replace your now useless weapons.
Alternatively you will be asked to grind out 100 missions in a "special Event" for a promised reward weapon.
You do the grind you get a nice weapon that looks worth investing real cash in in order to make it a respectable end game weapon. Then weeks later after spending your real money and wihtout any warning the nice weapon you got gets basically destroyed by a major nerf from the developers and the weapon is simply no longer useful.
This has been a recurring theme for this game for months now and the veteran gamers are extremely unhappy with this business model.
The developers have repeatedly encouraged players to spend real money on an allegedly F2P game to get decent weaponry and then they have repeatedly trashed those weapons to the point of uselessness only to introduce a new weapon for real currency rinse and repeat.

Case in point a weapon called the Soma offered for sale for real cash and a weapon slot purchased for real money weapon purchased then subsequently the stats significantly change from the purchased weapon stats rendering it far worse and in fact useless in many parts of the game.
    Case in point -
A weapon called the strunwraith shotgun offered as a reward for time invested in special event which the developers used to test a new game format.
Event done weapon awarded then subsequently "nerfed" to the point of being put back on the shelf. Oh yes this weapon also consumed real cash for a weapon slot and for upgrades to make it truly useful.
    Current Case in point -
A weapon called the Brakk again an event reward for running over 100 missions! 100 mission! That is a HUGE investment.
And again the warframe developers arbitrarily ruined the weapon after many people had invested real cash upgrading it too.

The behavior of the game developer here, DE, is at best abusive and indifferent to the gaming community. But it also constitutes engaging in deceptive and unethical business practice.
I would strongly encourage the gaming community to avoid spending any more real cash on this game until a little well deserved respect is shown and this reprehensible bait and switch business practice is terminated .
If you don't believe me then go to the warframe forums page and read the now 27 pages of 540 postings of extremely angry gamers. It says way more than I ever could.
Avoid this game like the plague.
    thank you

Some may be put off by rather high cost of cash shop items but it is ENTIRELY optional and this game is NOT pay2win. All the items you can buy with money can be farmed. Only things that can only be obtained through cash is inventory size and purely cosmetic stuff (colour and decorations).

Do not trust the "critic reviews" as this game is not really released yet and it seems only unknown reviewers have criticized this game. I respect that all the big names are holding their votes till the game is fully released.

This game is an absolute time sink. It requires a significant investment of time, and if you want to make any real progress, money as well. This is just part of my review from my steam profile:

    One word review: Disappointing

More details: This is a game that starts off really promising. Interesting controls, large variety of weapons, numerous ways to level up and progress, seems like it has it all.
Unfortunately it crumbles under it's own weight. Numerous ways to level up turn into an extended grind game that is overwhelming. The large variety of weapons turns into a double edged sword, which requires an explanation of the mastery system.
Each weapon, warframe, and anything else you can take with you to level up has a cap of level 30. The levels that you acquire during gameplay all contribute points towards a mastery system. The mastery system caps how much progress you can make in a given day towards other aspects of the game.

There is a faction type system in a game called syndicates. The items offered by these syndicates are generally considered extremely good, and cannot be acquired any other way. The problem with this syndicate system, is that the points you can acquire each day is capped at a rather low number. Add to this problem with points that are capped universally. You may have 10000 faction points you can make in that day, but that's across ALL factions.
In certain syndicate themed missions, you can search for insignias, that you can turn in to a vendor for additional syndicate points, sometimes worth more points than the mission themselves, but there are at max 8 of these in a given mission, and it is an exhaustive search through very large missions that can sometimes border on futility. The worst part is if you decide to do these missions with other people, but they decide they don't feel like searching for all of them, and rush to the mission end point, you will be forced to end the mission after a 1 minute timer. You CANNOT replay these missions, and if it ends early, you could be out of potentially thousands of points.
Naturally I did most of these missions solo, even though the rest of the game recommends, and is designed for group play. I will add I also did Spy missions solo, as even 1 person in your group triggering an alarm, can lead to the entire group failing the mission.

The biggest problem with the mastery system, and where the game really collapses under is own weight is leveling the weapons. There are so many filler weapons in this game, that are commonly called "mastery fodder", that acquiring these mastery points becomes a chore. It takes time to level weapons, made all the worse by leveling weapons that are weak, and not fun to use. You can tell very quickly when a weapon you are using is terrible.
This is aggravated by the fact that you are limited to how many weapons, warframes, etc, that you can have in your inventory. Unless you are willing to buy premium currency, which of course costs real money, you cannot increase your inventory size. That has been an issue since the game came out years ago, along with many other issue which I will go into later.
Numerous weapons and warframes, that you might have actually liked, will be sold and discarded, all because you don't have space for them, unless you're willing to fork over a lot of money. The game gets to the point where you might be looking at hundreds of dollars of investments, if you're willing to make significant progress in this game. The day and age that we live in with steam sales, bundle packs, and numerous other sources of price discounts for quality games, makes the $50-$60 retail game almost a thing of the past. This game will be looking for much more money out of your pocket.

In addition to leveling up the weapons for mastery points, you also level these weapons for mod slot points. At level 30 you have 30 mod points to empower your weapon. The mods ALSO require leveling up, however they don't level up from use, but rather by sacrificing other mods to level them up. In addition to sacrificing mods in this process, you ALSO use up credits, which is the games fictional currency. This can be one of the most expensive parts of the game is terms of credit use. Unfortunately, the developers of the game seem to be aggressively cracking down on ways to farm credits, which in and of themselves are still excessive time sinks.
Leveling mods and farming credits are one of the longest processes in the game, however Digital Extremes is all too happy to offer ways to boost your credit income, or level up mods, for your platinum in their premium stores. I think it says enough that one of the most popular store purchases are fusion cores, which help level up your mods, at an extremely overpriced platinum amount. I want to say it was the equivalent of $5, but i could be wrong. Either way, it was still overpriced given the amount of other things Digital Extremes wants you to buy....

There is certainly a pay-to-advance aspect to the game that allows you to double your upgrade slots faster with cash or outright buy equipment to avoid building it. But there are plenty of things in the game you can't buy, like dojo upgrades. On top of all the fun, there is currently some glitchy physics that are outright hilarious sometimes and I hope they honestly never remove them. Namely these are when you pin mobs with railguns and their bodies start freaking out.
It's a little harder to play solo than with other people and the game certainly emphasizes team play. But even if you're a lone wolf, the public system for teams is decent, albeit a little buggy at times. Lag synchronization between players with latency issues is pretty solid at not disconnecting you usually and most times won't get you killed. But it is still an issue at times and hopefully they can optimize that as more players come in.

Putting nearly 350 hours into this game has given me numerous thoughts about it as a whole.
    1. Game play, certainly the most important part of any game, and warframe has much of it and it is generally good fun all around, it could use a lot of polish but that is to be expected. 9/10
    2. Graphics, the game is pretty no doubt. 8/10 3. Sound, Meh everything more or less gets the job done,

    2. Graphics, the game is pretty no doubt. 8/10
    3. Sound, Meh everything more or less gets the job done, though numerous times weapon sounds have been changed to absolutely terrible results, others (very few) are changed to sounding better then before. 7/10
    4. Polish, this is truly where warframe suffers the greatest, a complete lack of polish. Bugs are constantly getting fixed, but with each fix brings twice as many bugs needing to be fixed. Rarely do these bugs break the game at all but when a bug that makes the game hard to play does show up it is usually fixed quite quickly. 6/10
    5. Free-To-Play Elements, While yes everything that can be bought with real money can also be crafted in game, neither way is truly good, Real Money trading is ridiculously overpriced, 15-20 dollars for a gun? Really? And crafting results in depending upon a hilariously intentionally broken RNG system. Now to the dreaded 'alert system' while this function of the game is constantly being tweaked and changed it is still a terrible way to give us things. This game while not to the tune of Play-to-win, micro transactions, it is pay ALOT to not grind and sleep for a change. 6/10
    6. Developers, I dont have much good or bad to say about the developers but lets just say i believe Warframe would be better if another company handled it. 6/10

While this review may seem pitched towards the negative, i do enjoy the game a great deal and while grinding is a pain at least the game is actually fun to pay while grinding, which relieves much stress in playing it for hours to get something you need. Overall, try the game if your at all interested in it. Lets just hope Digital Extremes figures out how to run Warframe for the long run.

I was really sick of seeing these polarized reviews of 10's or 0's because apparently giving a review is too difficult for some and would rather voice their bias to an extreme.

The graphics is one of the biggest pulling/attraction for Warframe and for good reason! Considering it was a F2P game as well, the graphics were on the high end. However, this can also be a con because not everyone has a great GFX. However, the graphics are only as good as what they put it on. Which goes to one of the biggest flaws of Warframe which is the lack of variety.

The game play of Warframe is fun for a while. You get a sword, four abilities, a gun and it is smooth for the most part. There are a few bugs, and there is a lack of sword combat (only a couple of moves). Until you get a new warframe "class", you'll be stuck with the same 4 abilities which does get boring. BUT, You get to parkour and be a ninja acrobat in space. It reminds me a lot of GunZ with all the free range of moving. Eventually you'll be using the exact same movements to get around and it'll just start feeling like a chore.

Warframe lacks in story and plot. It doesn't set in stone the lore through game play, it doesn't seem to reinforce much with the missions they do have, and it isn't very enthralling. You don't feel as epic as you should, and it creates this disinterest in the missions you're doing, which is already worse with their lack of variety(explained in the next paragraph). It is a weak plot which creates a lack of game missions to base off.

Warframe lacks in variety of maps and enemies. There are 3 types of enemies (Corpus/Robots, Infested/Aliens, and Grineer/Armored Aliens/Humanoids) and they only have about 5~ of each throughout the game. You see the exact same enemies throughout the game, with the same tactics but just stronger as you progress. The maps of the 3 types change a little which got me immersed in the first place. You get to see the 3 different environment types in the first couple of planets/missions. However, they didn't create anything more different in the later planets. They mix and match a little, however you'll start feeling you're seeing the exact same environment and it gets really repetitive of going through the same map over and over with just stronger/different enemies. There are 10 mission modes. The game types are very lack luster, you can go check the wiki or just play it. Either way, once you play the game modes once they're essentially always the EXACT SAME just on a different map (of the ones you played on already) with the other 2 enemy types. It get's repetitive and tedious. However, it's still a time sink like that and for me, I was able to play through multiple planets/lots of hours before I actually did get bored of it. On the other hand, there was a lack of strategy in the missions and they rarely changed within their missions, it was always the same kind of mission with no variety within itself.

One thing I was really excited for in this "Co-Op" game was the Boss fights. I loved games with boss fights like WoW Raids, BL2, etc. However, in Warframe, the Boss fights were EXTREMELY lackluster. You could practically just shoot and run in circles, and it would die. No strategy, hell you wouldn't even need to use your abilities.

Moving on to Warframe's customization. It is a long grind to get the "better" weapons and Warframes. I understand that from a F2P perspective, it was a "good" way, however the dev's did feel like kicking F2P on acquiring Warframes. You need to farm a boss for multiple pieces(hoping it'll drop) and have all the materials to create a warframe. However, the Devs I felt did a good job on the weapon aspect. The higher end better weapons of the game require actually farming/making the item, like the Flux Rifle which you CANNOT purchase. However, they are lacking in the variety of guns/weapons and they aren't totally different from each other. Some are just plain worse than others, which I would hope the devs will fix/improve later on.

I really enjoy their mod system, which you collect mods from random drops that can improve/change your weapons to make them better versus the enemies you encounter. It gives a lot of leeway to customization and the "best" mods require luck/grind which you CANNOT purchase. I think the unavailability of trading in Warframe is a good and bad, but I understand why it was not implemented. It would make grinding/farming for mods, materials, blueprints a lot less appealing and would get people to just buy them off each other which I would believe, ruin the game create a drop of play. However, you'll eventually realize what is the "best" mods agreed upon later on, but who cares (it goes for most games).

The game still does need polish, but it's a decent F2P but not worth spending

I've purchased every AAA title in 2013 and none of them have held my attention as much as warframe. The gameplay is easy to pick up, impossible to put down. It's immediate shallow exterior belies a more indepth game which slowly unveils itself. The game would greatly benefit fro decent tutorials on you tube, but the wiki community is very good. You want to play a different teno suit? Well you can grind for over 50-300 hours and then wait another 3 days for the blueprint to finish OR you could just pay $50 to have it right now.

It is also a free-to-play game, which means that its business model resides in reliance of players purchasing its local currency in exchange for real money.
The way purchase of currency is 'forced' is via cosmetic options and for additional slots to house the different weapons and characters available. Otherwise, everything else in the game is available for free.

Thus it becomes that should one be content in the two Warframe slots and four weapon slots available upon account creation, everything in the game can be obtained free of charge.
As such, the use of game currency is an option of investing money in order to advance faster rather than invest your time to gain the same for free.

It may become repetitive and it is grind-heavy.

It is still early in its development and the developers are very nice and fair, they also listen to the players and hold bi-weekly Q&A live-stream sessions.
They're slowly ramping up internal studio man-power to extend the development faster and further.

The game still suffers from some technical issues and the occasional crash, but all in all it has good fidelity and stunning visuals.

In the end, it is a very fun game and is only getting better as time pass by.
Given the developer's passion and the enthusiasm of its player base, it seems like the beginning of a beautiful thing.

You'll get thrown into running matches, sometimes right at the end of a mission or spawned in the middle of a huge enemy group, often unable to do anything before you get downed. Also,LAG. No dedicated servers. If the host of a match has bad connection, you will suffer from debilitating lag and teleporting enemies. And let me warn you of this right now: Soloplay is extremely hard and often simply impossible due to the spawns of enemies and damage they dish out. If you're downed and you have no teammates, you're instantly dead. You *can* revive yourself 4 times a day, but most missions are simply too hard to tackle solo right now. You *could* do the majority of missions stealthily, but again, the matchmaking strikes. Once you're teamed up with randoms, forget about stealth gameplay. They'll charge right into the enemy you're just creeping up on,raising alarm and ruining your chances of stealth for the rest of the mission.

Pros: The occasional match is *really* fun,and if you can find decent groups (basically,if you're lucky or have friends you can play with), this game can be an absolute blast. There's different ninja-esque moves that you can pull off like wallrunning, sliding and backflipping, and you can combine these different moves while not losing control over your character. This makes for some awesome moments as the moves feel really fluid and you can shoot while executing them. There's a lot of customization and rpg-elements, each weapon can be leveled and modded and each Warframe (Class) has different abilities and can also be modified. Lots of possibilities with different mod combinations on weapons, but there is a lot of luck and RnG involved. Some mods are really strong and boost your power a lot,but if you don't have luck and find one mod of that kind in a mission, you'll just never get it. Example: I've played with a mate for about 5 days and at one point he found a mod that boosts your shield capacity for 140% (after leveling it up once,he can level it up even further to get even more shield capacity). Shields are crucial for survival as they can be replenished quite quickly with another mod,and 140% shield capacity basically means he can take more than twice as much a pounding. This is a huge upgrade. In the 5 days we've played (about 45 hours) I haven't found this mod once,so I still am a lot more vulnerable than he is. Then again,I have a rifle that freezes, stuns and burns enemies at once and a frost-twohander that shatters and bursts foes into bits, and he didn't get as lucky with the elemental damage mods. The diceroll system is something to keep in mind, you might be craving for an awesome mod which you just wont find for days, and there currently is no other way to get or trade mods other than finding them during missions as enemy drops.

Customization+ F2P-modell: The selection of Warframes and weapons is decent right now. However, some weapons, warframes and all of the customization options are locked unless you're willing to pay...a LOT. The prices for the ingame currency are horrendous as they are right now. you won't get the majority of Classes and Weapons unless you pay at least 27€. for ONE class. or about 14€ for ONE weapon. A lot of cashmilking going on there,as most of these weapons are simply better than your standard loadout. You can unlock some weapons and even classes without paying, but it takes quite a while, especially the materials you need for the classes will take you weeks of grinding. You'll need to farm bosses for rare blueprints for classes and rare materials to craft those, and each of the three parts required to craft a Warframe ingame requires 3-4 different materials with 1-2 being rare. They then take 12hours and 15000credits (quite a lot) each to craft, and the warframe itself will take 3days and another 25.000 creds to complete. So you're looking at atleast a week of grinding *IF* you're extremely lucky with drops and spend your cash and time on nothing else, and another week of crafting that Warframe (class),which you will then need to level up from zero.

Summary: If you have a few people you can play with or your annoyance threshold for bad matchmaking and braindead teammates is high, I definetely recommend trying Warframe. However, unless you're willing to pay (a LOT), you won't be getting much diversity. Most missions are prolonged tuberuns, you'll always be following a set path with limited variation. If you enjoy games like Mass Effect,Quake or Ninja Gaiden, give this one a try.

All DE does is add more cosmetics and p2w systems. The raids are actually worse than Destiny and Conclave is a joke - completely disjointed from the main game with separate rules and stats. Archwing could have been a redeeming factor if the Arches played more like Gundams and the enemies were more like Mobile Suits, however you are just a monkey with a rocket pack fighting miners on hovercrafts. DE should have never ported to PS4 (and even worse to xbox) if they had no intentions of running Crossplay. And to top it off I had to start from ZERO on PC because DE wont let me transfer my frames, mods or weapons? Oh well, Paragon will be the game you wish Warframe could be. Crossplay, PVP focus, AND all frames free? Take notes DE. Forward this memo to China HQ. Expand

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. [No, reviewers, you can't make me change my score by downvoting the review. The game is paytoplay.] Honestly one of the worst games that emphasis on micro-transactions. You need platinum for warframe slots, weapons slots, color palettes. Holy mother of god. Even Adventure Quest Worlds was better, in AQW they give at least 40 slots when the game first released. Meanwhile, Warframe is like, you have grind for the class, you have to grind for the weapons, OKAY STOP, you didn't pay the toll to keep your items, PAY TO PLAY! Farming for free platinum is a pipe dream, the vaulted items are hard to come by. The worst part is host migration, there is no penalty for leaving the campaign and most of the time I got stucked in a mission with Lvl 60 enemies. Expand

A massive grind, repetitive game-play, lack of character customizing options and very limited world graphics, Warframe is nothing more then another Scifi shooter with role playing elements tacked on. Controls feel loose and broken. Lack of a cover system makes the game even worse.

    Don't bother, play something else.

The AI is pretty good, too. Enemies are trying to take cover most of the time and barely stand out in the open.
It actually has no story yet, but that doesnt really matter, as it is still a lot of fun, specially with friends, to slice/shoot your way through hordes of enemies.

You may get lucky by moving quick enough to hit them a few times with the sword, but by then you've already taken too much damage.

Oh the powers? Yeah they don't tell you that either, but what ACTUALLY makes you a real ninja in the game are your powers and you don't get those till later, nope it's full on pay 2 win and garbage style combat gameplay for ANYONE that tries to just jump in WITHOUT paying a dime.

Hey it's free to play! (You will not enjoy this.)

The only way you could possibly enjoy it at all is by forking out $39.99 if you really need all that, but if you're like me and just wanted to play free with your first 4 powers given to you that would've been great because ninjas were always about stealth, not stupidity.

I installed this game like everyone else that jumps in, immediately it was about everyone standing out in the open just firing out in the open like a very generic call of duty game.

If you wanted to play a game with better fighting mechanics you could've always just picked up some assassin creed games and enjoyed that.

I gave this 1 for the fact you can make the so called "ninjas" look good, but they don't actually "play well" when you use them for combat. You are not ninja.

To any of those people giving "10's" left and right you need to shut up, it's free go try it out!

No I'd rather go play Path of Exile, or even D3 rather then have one more second of painful agonizing torment of terrible "ninja wanna be's" flooding the internet's over done free 2 play- I mean pay 2 win gaming market.

I downloaded it off steam just like the rest of you people, you aren't fooling anyone, it's a joke of combat mechanics and you know it. I have no lag, no movement issues except for the fact you cannot dodge, evade, or move fluent enough through the game to actually get any value out of it even if you DID end up paying a crap ton of cash cause even then those 4 powers you use are limited to some sort of resource that expires too quickly in mid combat.

You get a "1" for "good looks" because that's about all there is.

    Warframe is a free-to-play game meaning the player has three options;

    1. Grind and farm like a monkey.

    2. Spend an unreasonable amount of money on in-game items.

    3. Not give a sh*t about the former and just play the game anyway.

The grind in the game is sadistically, insultingly steep. As with most MMOs you will be expected to do the same thing over and over just to obtain whatever item it is you're after. In the space of two years I have noticed a steady increase in the 'grindyness' of the game. This may or may not be related to a Chinese chicken meat company owning a majority share of Digital Extremes.

The business model is fair however, the in-game currency can be traded with other players for certain in-game items, so you needn't spend a penny. Pay to win is not really a thing here, but as mentioned, the player needs to put time in (re: farm, and farm hard).

After all that farming you just did, you can craft items from blueprints you find in missions, or buy from the market using the non-premium in-game currency. Crafting time for items varies, but is repulsive. Weapons can take up to 12 to 24 hours, 'frames' (new suits/characters) have to be acquired in four parts; blueprint, chassis, helmet and systems. These drop randomly from bosses. RNG is a thing, and the drop rates are, again, repulsive. Each part takes 12 hours each to craft, and when they're all done, the suit proper can be crafted which takes 72 hours. You can 'rush' crafting using premium currency, or you can turn the game off for three days. This is to say nothing of the materials required to make each part. Again, found in missions, randomly, and dropped by specific enemies, or not, depending how lucky you are with RNG.

The cash shop is disgustingly expensive.

There are weekend events occasionally, but these have been showing a steady decrease in quality and are becoming more and more buggy, repetitive, dull, badly designed and poorly explained. As a veteran player, I find myself ignoring them completely. They are wretched, frustrating and a waste of time.

Developers promise to alleviate grind and improve quality of life for the player, then introduce double RNG grind footlongs and call it an exciting new feature.

Depending where you live in the world, connection problems exist. Warframe uses P2P, which often results in trainwrecks of lag-ridden, unplayable, bug-filled matches.

The game isn't optimized terribly well, and in my experience doesn't seem to like AMD hardware very much. It's updated regularly, though new iteration breaks something else. Hotfixes are released quickly, and their support team is excellent.

In the end, the crux of the game revolves around destroying enemies, upgrading weapons, destroying enemies slightly easier. and doing it all over again when a new Warframe or weapon comes out. It's shallow, repetitive and getting worse, so get in when you can. May as well give it a try, entry is free.

Same goes for the warframes, take a Trinity to support your allies, a Loki to do it the assassin's way, or an Ember to throw fireballs on enemies just for the fun. There is a lot of diversity in the weapons and warframes, and as if it wasn't enough, you can customize your weapons or warframes with the mods. The mod system makes you able to have fully advantage of your weapons or warframe by making those fit even more your play style. Also, all the weapons being craftable using the ressources and blueprints you can find while playing, you don't need to waste money on platinum (except if you can't wait a few hours for your weapon to be crafted). The sentinels are also a great thing that can help you a lot in missions, but i think the game is maybe lacking a bit in diversity there with currently 3 sentinels. Talking about the lacks, there isn't so much different enemies, especially for Corpus and Infestation. A few new enemies in each class will be needed in the future. Same goes for the Defense maps, there aren't so much of those currently. Also, having a few new missions for low-levels on Mercury would be nice. So, a bit more content in the next updates would be more than appreciated, and essential before the end of the beta.

Also, there isn't a pay-to-win system in this game, but more a pay-to-win-faster, as you can get everything except some cosmetics (so, yeah not useful), Warframe slots and Weapons slots by playing, farming ressources, etc... For the Warframe and weapons slots, it's not that much of a problem, since you start with 50 platinum on your account, which is enough for you to buy either :
    - 2 warframe slots
    - 1 warframe slot and 4 weapon slots
    - 6 weapon slots
And since you start with 2 warframe slots and 8 weapon slots, that isn't much of a problem. 3 warframes and 7-8 weapons should be enough for most of people.

    Graphics :

The graphics are more than decent. If you want to see what they look like, feel free to search for videos of the game on youtube.
The only problem is that they might be a bit repetitive, yet, but there is always new things added in patches, so it's becoming less of a problem.

    Conclusion :

A good F2P that has big chances of becoming a really nice game once finished. Good points being it's gameplay and the fact you don't have to buy things with real money (as in many other f2p games) The main default of the beta being the bugs, but those are getting corrected once the game is finished and that there is a bit more content, it will be more than ok. Also, maybe some changes to the current session hosting system would be nice.

Rating 5/5 (i took the fact it's still a beta in the notation, else it would have been a 4/5)

It relies heavily on long wait times(between half a day, to three real-life days) for item crafting, RNG, and heavily diluted loot pools to extend it's life. On top of that, use of extra warframes, weapons, or companions requires slots to be purchased with real money, or to sell gear to other players for "Platinum", which is the game's premium currency purchased with real money. Going back to the RNG, this means that unless you buy Platinum yourself, you are at the mercy of RNG to give you something valuable enough for players to want, which isn't often enough. Overall if you have invested any amount of time leveling something and don't want to spend time leveling it again (which is irksome at low levels and tedious at high levels) you are forced to keep it, or delete it to make room. This can become a bother when weapons are nerfed and/or buffed seemingly at random, making a once-reliable weapon or warframe useless.

The graphics use most of the common "good" things like DoF, Motion Blur, and Bloom which can actually hinder gameplay and makes it difficult to run without a good computer. In spite of all this you will encounter areas where the textures are inconsistent. Not by any signifigantly noticeable level, but enough that it is noticeable, especially on warframes when players try to customize their colors (additional color sets require Platinum, too. And the basic selection is an off-color rainbow that can be frustrating)

The controls are what you'd expect from a third person shooter, and not worth mentioning aside from clunky parkour mechanics and melee controls being reduced to a single button press, and melee combos barely go beyond that.

The story is mostly missing in action, but seems to be slowly fleshed out over updates. However most of it seems to clash with it's own established lore and backstories so take it as you will, but don't take it seriously.

Sound is simple and satisfactory. Nothing more to say about it.

Most likely the reviewers who give this game from 3 or lower obviously don't understand the concept of the game and don't play it as often. The only reason I don't give this a perfect score is because even on my high end gaming PC I experience lag and occassional connection problems. You could compare this to Left 4 Dead 2 since it's a co-op game; both survival and mission based. Except Warframe has a unique futuristic kick. You're basically a ninja/marine combo, and what I like about this game the most is that a lot of the guns that you could pay to get right away is still usable; but you actually need to work for it, which makes it much more satisfying in my personal opinion. This also goes for the new Warframes (characters who are also known as Tenno) and the interface is easy to figure out. Customization isn't too in depth and of course the best way to make your Warframe look awesome is by spending a little cash for skins and accessories....the company still needs to make money. But most of what I've seen is basically free and the community is always willing to help you with questions. I've never met any **** yet which is also a plus. And it is true that the game is repetitious but it isn't literally the same mission like the "professional" critics say. The game redesigns some of the levels to make it feel different each time; and they've added survival modes and planet infections that allow you to gain a huge amount of money. It's progressing very well and worth a shot indeed. Expand

The game could be improved with social locations such as hub worlds or trading posts, but it manages without just fine. Monetization is the game's most prominent issue, as cash shop currency can be used to buy items instead of crafting them, as well as speeding up the crafting process itself. Warframe keeps the momentum going with new updates pretty frequently. The maps are pretty repetitive and the game is still in beta but it's still pretty cool. It has some interesting mechanics which can be improved in later updates. It's still full of bugs and such but it's a good game to try.

Survival, defense, exterminate, void runs, dark sectors, pvp, quests, even a relay for you to just chill and talk some crap with others. The community of players is great; they're very patient with newbies. I'm a MR 6 right now, not advanced enough to be called pro, but not new enough to be called a newbie, but I've been very happy with how the players, especially high-levelled ones, patiently deal with the new guys and even people who still kind of suck like me. Melee combat is really fun especially if you have stance mods on, and combat overall flows very smoothly. One moment you could be wallrunning, then the next hanging on the wall and picking those neat headshots, then rolling on the ground and slicing someone in half... You get the idea. While many people also complain about the lack of a main story(Like me when I just started), I've learnt to accept that warframe doesn't need one. In fact, it's the game's air of mystery surrounding it that makes it fun, and allows you to use your imagination to make things come to life on solo play. But once THAT gets boring, you could always pop over to multiplayer and chat while wreaking havoc on wave after wave of enemies. Many newbies also complain about the apparent pay2win factor of warframe, but in reality, this is one of the few games left that you don't NEED to spend money on to actually get good. This is currently my favourite game, and as far as I'm concerned, this stands proud among some of the huge paid games around. Expand

    --Longer review ahead--

The initial review I wrote out for this game, while more comprehensive, exceeded the character limit handily by the time I was anywhere near happy, so I chose to just go with a short(er) summary. There is a phrase that goes "Quit while you're ahead", Digital Extremes should quit while they're so far behind that they disappeared over the horizon.

I've been playing intermittently since 2012, and from June 2020 to Jan. 2021, I've consumed a large amount of the content the game has had to offer, and I'm noticing a pattern of poorly thought out concepts, with an equally lackluster quality of design and implementation, then never really touched again. They also seem insistent on trying to add open world content, despite the fact that they're currently 0 for 3 attempts, it's all the same timegated, frustrating core systems with a different coat of paint, though I will give Deimos as an environment props for the uniqueness of the zone.

The end result is, in a word, somewhat schizophrenic and thoroughly just below average in terms of gameplay design, and absolutely abysmal in regards to the near constant bugs and hamfisted monetization.

The only way I see this turning around is if the playerbase manages to stage some kind of intervention on the absurd level of monetization, the absurd lack of focus and the absurd low quality gameplay design, but I simply don't see this happening. Download it on your platform of choice, try it, and if it's not to your liking after a few days, uninstall it and walk away, because it doesn't get any better. If I had literally any other options for MMORPGs or nearest equivalent, I'd have quit months ago.

    - Even if you don't have much time, you can accomplish something since a mission shouldn't take more than 20 minutes (once you get a feel for the movement system, most missions won't take longer than 5, max 10 minutes)
    - Very fair free to play game, nearly every item is obtainable without spending a dime.. even cosmetics (tennogen items not included, those are community made and the creator gets a cut of the revenue DE makes off of them)
    - content for several hundred of hours, easily
    - hundreds of weapons, every one of them with different stats and sounds. Some shoot bullets, others grenades, others are flamethrowers, others are blades with integrated shotguns... with new weapons arriving every few months
    - currently 34 Warframes (a new one already in the oven), not including the primed version
    - primed versions of weapons, warframes, landing craft, mods (slightly better versions of the original versions, mainly for endgame)
    - you can have kubrows (dogs), kavats (cats) and sentinel (flying robot things) that support you in the battle with damage and/or utility; careful! Kubrows and kavats can die if you don't look after it.
    - customization of basically everything is a huge part of the game (colors of warframes, weapons, companion, landing craft, placing objects into your landing craft, etc etc) #fashionframe
    - many different mission types (mobile defense, extermination, spy, interception, hijack, etc)
    - time based events (alerts, sorties, special events like acolytes or plaque star which are available for a couple of days/weeks before they are gone)
    - modding system gives a possibly huge amount of customization on how you want to play a certain weapon (Fire rate, elemtal damage, crit damage, multishot, raw damage, reload speed and many more)
    - 99% of the community. the game is mainly pve so the community is generally really nice and helpful.. ofc you will face a dick every now and then but that's very rare
    - The Developers. Digital Extremes does an amazing job at being transparent about changes and listening to the community (Devstream roughly every 2 weeks). Although they have to decree some stuff every now and then it's generally a good balance and the community is well integrated into the balance process

    The maybe Good, maybe Bad:
    - one of the grindiest games I've personally ever played (I love it but I'm certain many won't)
    - you need to build weapons/warframes in order to use them from blueprints (weapons take usually 24 hours, warframes 72 hours, not counting the part building time which takes 12 hours). Personally I don't find it as bad because there are tons of things to do in warframe and you can always have some stuff waiting in your foundry ready to be claimed but especially in the beginning it's very annoying ("Woooh! Got my first warframe and all the parts! can't wait for that 72 hours waiting time so I can check it out")

    The Bad:
    - it takes a lot more time than usual to get the hang of the game (many different systems that are not explained well.. or at all)
    - wiki of warframe is pretty important if you want to progress. It's a so called wiki game that only really takes off once you use the wiki to gather information the game doesn't offer
    - the starter cosmetic loadout is.. bad.. there are only like 10-20 colors you can pick from, though the cool colors like black, white, pure red etc are locked behind platinum. So unless you have a buddy that may gift it to you, you are stuck with the small amount of colors until you learn how to trade or pay money
    - repetitive gameplay. While I mentioned that warframe has many different gamemodes, usually it looks very similar in most of them.. you either kill as much as you can (exterminate, interception, defense) or you rush to the objective/target and rush to the exit, ignoring all of the enemies (spy, rescue, capture)
    - untouched systems. Warframe has so many systems that some of them aren't really thought through and could see a revisit. Archwing comes to mind but also stuff like Rivens (possibly very powerful mods with random stats) or focus (not going into this because spoiler.. but once there you will know what I mean)
    - invulnerable bosses. The developers seem to love bosses that have invulnerable phases. Even if that means that a boss is 95% of the time invulnerable (hello vay hek). I can see that if everyone is basically an op space ninja they have to do sth to make the bosses somewhat tough.. but that's not the way I would like them to be.. make them tanky af or w/e but invulnerable with tiny spots where you can actually hurt them is definition of tedious gameplay

    100 characters.. gosh I would have mentioned a lot more but I can't :c

    Tl;dr: It's great. Get it!

Unfortunately, the developers have chosen grinding as a means of player retention and longevity for the game. There's tedious grind is every aspect of this game. The grind is so inherent that there are community recommended 'meta' locations and loadouts to make the grind less painful. This explains why with all the popularity and active player base it is still hard to find public squads outside those meta grinding locations and missions irrespective of region or time of day. Good luck finding squad mates for a mission whose rewards do not involve something worth a grind. There are currently only 3 prominent enemy factions with a very limited mission variety (defense, assassination, rescue, spy, survival) which makes the game feel repetitive. Some mission types can be run in endless mode with scaling difficulties but the rewards which are RNG based are awarded on a rotation basis and do not scale with the duration of the mission. So there's not enough motivation in running long endless missions.

Talking about long endless missions or endurance runs, the damage of primary and secondary weapons do not scale with the difficulty scaling with time. And there are very few frames whose ability damage scale with enemy levels. Since most endurance runs rely on dealing damage with mostly melee weapons it renders primary and secondary weapons useless beyond certain enemy levels.

The dialogues and voice acting, for the most part, is simply atrocious. I would have lost my sanity if they had not enabled shutting off Ordis in the orbiter. Except for a few NPCs - Lotus, Eudico, Konzu, Onko most interactions feel like conversing with mentally retarded characters. Even a 7 year-old would speak with more maturity than most villains in the game. Makes one wonder if they are being convicted of crimes of a past life. DE's portrayal of their dark side is so shallow that any dark elements associated with a character is imperceptible beyond what is mentioned in the codex or what Lotus tells you about them.

The only redeeming factor about this game is that there is virtually no paywall blocking any playable content. The premium currency (platinum) which can be purchased for cash can also be earned in-game using the trade system which is something one doesn't come across in most other free2play games. Also almost all grindable aspects of this game can be skipped by spending platinum aka pay2skip model.

DigitalExtremes has introduced some innovative techniques for ensuring that platinum keeps flowing in the market. There is little doubt that the unique mods - Rivens constitute the bulk of the trade transactions in terms of value. These are in-game tradeable instruments whose stats/worth is linked with the 'disposition' of the associated weapon. Officially disposition is meant to be reflective of the popularity of a weapon but lately it is being manipulated by DE as means to ensure that platinum keeps flowing in the market and so that players do not limit themselves with only a set of rivens for their favorite weapons.

There are very few avenues that keep this game engaging for veteran players. Whether it is Eidolons (arcane farming), Kuva farming or trading rivens - things start to get boring after a while and it is not uncommon to see veteran players losing interest and abandoning the game after a while.

Though DE has been releasing new content every six months or so and there are in-game Nightwave events every alternate month but their activities and goals make them feel more like the same repetitive job/chore rather than feel anything refreshing.

Overall, the RNG based rewards system together with the grind make this game a huge TimeSink, which of course, can be entirely skipped by paying with cash. The popularity and success of this game is true indicator that the Free2Play Pay2Skip model is still sustainable when most AAA game developers are shooting themselves in the foot with their Pay2Win models.

The game requires constant play in it and resource extraction. The graphics are pleasant, but sometimes too saturated. For 2 days you can already walk to Mercury and Mars. With the many systems and features in Warframe, it has a little bit of everything for everyone. This includes space combat, classic loot-shooter gameplay, pvp, an active trading community, open world areas and a story that I deem better than many modern paid games' stories. The various parts are revealed progressively to ensure new players aren't overwhelmed. Some of these parts don't always fit together perfectly, such as archwing combat, but the developers never stop improving upon these systems or adding new ones through frequent updates. The selection of equipment in Warframe is equally as massive and ever-expanding to suit all playstyles. Officially, Warframe is still in early-access, but still has more content than most games.

No items in Warframe are off-limits to free players (other than community-made items, which you have to pay for) and can be obtained through enough farming and trading is an effective alternative to obtaining the in-game premium currency, meaning premium items can be obtained by anyone.

Warframe is a gem that I would recommend to anyone looking for a long-term game to play.

2K hour veteran, the game used to be great when it innovated and responded to what the community wanted. In it's current state content is stagnant, prices are insane for what they unlock, every patch introduces 2x the bugs it fixes...... The amount of work and time that needs to be dedicated to this game is not justified by horrendous endgame, time gated events, **** release schedule.

Warframe is of the best free games and MMOs out there. Its a fact. If you talk specifically about MMO shooters it can be definitely called THE best.
The only rivals are pretty much Destiny and Anthem. These games are basically about the same thing - shooting lots of stuff, get better guns, shoot more stuff. Warframe executes it perfectly. With 6 years of development, it grew way more

The only rivals are pretty much Destiny and Anthem. These games are basically about the same thing - shooting lots of stuff, get better guns, shoot more stuff. Warframe executes it perfectly. With 6 years of development, it grew way more content than both Destinies and Anthem altogether. You will never log into Warframe and feel like you have nothing to do. There is almost too much to do. I wont even try to list it here, because really, you can write a book about Warframe.
And of course, all of this crazy amount of content is totally free. "Not very low" price tags of both Desnity (where every expansion cost like the base game) and Anthem make the free-to-play model of Warframe even more appealing. It is a fair model, too. The premium currency can totally be achieved by playing, and using it to buy weapons is sometimes much less efficient than crafting them.
The game barely has technical problems. Optimization is there, the game doesn't look horrible even on the lowest settings. Plus it only takes 30 GB on your hard drive vs 90 GB for Destiny and 50 GB for Anthem.
All in all, it is a game everyone should try out. It is so immersive anyone can try to find something to love about it.

They have struck a great balance between minute to minute space ninja action, making some progress in one of the game's many reward systems each and every play session, and the long term story, goals, and rewards that keep people playing for years. It takes some time for the ball to start rolling and the various reward systems to start kicking in, but once they do, you'll be spoiled for choices for things to do when you log in.... But whatever you choose, there will be some extremely satisfying and evolving space ninja action involved. :) Expand

Warframe looks like a cool dungeon mmo but it does so much wrong like grinding if you wanna get new better weapons instead of the legit trash weapons you get at the start you need to grind wich can take hours or days for getting parts for it then when you finally get one you need to wait 1 or 2 real time days for it to get finnished sounds fun.... right???? The only fun it has is doing the run slide jump wich isnt really that fun. everytime I have tried warframe it makes me so **** bored that I rather shoot my foot go to the hostpital and pay the bill like 5 times in a row its more exciting than warframe. Do I care about this game nope, I do give games fair playthrough before saying its good or it **** sucks but this game aint it dude not for me. Expand

The game has a very unique way of dealing with progression it time gates a lot of things, crafting weapons, warframes and just about everything takes time. Some people take one look and immediately say that it is very pay to win because of this time system, however they are going about it wrong entirely from the get go, how it is meant to work is you get in a rotation of always making an item so that you are always getting things; you are usually meant to be worrying about things you get the next day, as you can play and hour or two a day and have no problems. And some people don't have that time, which is why platinum exists; and many players and the devs themselves advise in earning gear instead of buying it as it feels much more rewarding. Biggest problem I see with the game at about 3/4 of the warframes built is the lack of endgame, I don't really see what I should be working towards besides the next big update. Expand

Warframe is a shockingly polished free-to-play action game that boasts great visuals, gameplay, and replay value. Unfortunately, grinding and odd design choices bog down the late-game experience.

Play Warframe. Play it for more than a few hours, preferably with friends, and keep an open mind into doing some third-party research to straighten out some of these systems. Warframe takes so much of what makes ARPG’s addictive, and rounds it out with more polish and depth than most its competitors on the current games market. If the hooks aren’t deeply embedded by then, maybe something this in-depth isn’t for you.
