Wanted: Weapons of Fate is one of those rare things in the gaming industry. Not because it is evolutionary, in fact it is not even good, but because it is okay.

The game wasn't bad for a movie-licensed game. Much better then most but the aiming system sucked and there should of been a different system for curving the bullets. Also, it was kind of hard to move around in tight areas.

Good game. Nice graphics, sound effect, and story. The biggest plroblems, that the game too short and there are a lot of cutscene, every 1-3 minutes.

I played the PC Version of this game, runs fine however terrible control sensitivity makes the game unplayable. Before even playing the game I wanted to test different resolutions on my PC to see what would look good but the mouse controls in the options screen are just as erratic as the game controls. Even if the controls were in order its still a terrible game and not worth paying for or wasting time playing.I actually chose this over world in conflict, this cost fifteen euro and world in conflict cost twenty including expansion but foolishly I made the wrong decision. In case you're wondering I'm not biased about the game as I really enjoyed the movie which was what prompted me to choose this title in the first place. I liked the game but I wish I would have known that it was so short and I would have rented it instead of paying over $50. Very Disappointed.

If I put it this way, it is no a bad game but it is not a great game either.. I found it funny at times but boring as hell the other second, this is a game you buy for pointless shooting and a little fun for a cheap price.

Pretty decent for a movie game, shooting suprisingly felt pretty good and weighty, but movement system was bit too clumsy and with auto sprint as only option. Cover mechanics could've used some more work since game drops you out of cover when youre aiming horizontally. Bullet bending felt too simplified, but it still felt good using nevertheless.

Story was nothing special and dialogue

Story was nothing special and dialogue mostly was pretty bad and at times cringe worthy, tho theres some funny cutscenes. Also guy who tried to impersonate McAvoy's voice felt pretty unconvincing.

PC port has bare bones cuztomazation options for controls and no graphical ones whats so ever, but at least game ran really well on my GTX 650 with 60 fps all the way thru, with few game areas where fps tanks but its engine's fault, so unless your running stone age PC you should be fine. Also it was tricky to change the resolution in the game, you might want to use the config file for that. Annoyingly in few levels i experienced some crazy artifacting when youre in intense shootouts, i thought my GPU was finaly dying but it was the game, not my hardware, so be wary of that.

All and all decent action game, but mostly for those who liked the movie or the comics, on its own its not a very good entry point into the franchise, otherwise you might feel like you wasted money buying or renting this game.

For its six-hour playthrough (you can extend that by unlocking alternate characters, but they're so unmemorable and non-gameplay changing, that they provide no incentive to play through again), Wanted: Weapons of Fate is at best a competent, fire-and-forget movie game -- not much more nor less.
  2. Wanted: Weapons of Fate, surprisingly, is not only better than a typical movie-licensed game, it’s better than a typical action game.

A pretty but simple action game that makes the right decision to not attempt to be something more than it is and concentrates on a well-executed bullet-curving gimmick. It just happens to be overpriced at $50. [May 2009, p.76]
