is a title aimed particularly at a specific target, certainly more "modern" and the matches are much more random than what I could have expected, given by some absolutely rng components and it is in fact here where valorant shows its weaknesses, such as for example the impossibility of mastering a specific spray pattern.
It is not a title to be thrown away as some reviews suggest, in its "small" it offers fun in the right doses especially if played in a team, the riot team is willing, the game transpires this passion from the developers and it is really a great thing. , confident of being able to edit my review in the near future.
Personally at the moment it is not an fps that invites me to play frequently, nor one on which I would spend 2000 or 4000 hours as for CS, in the hope that they will be able to solve the client's problems, that they will create a version that does not necessarily seem simplified cs and in the end in the hope that they will really manage to make their anticheat work as it is extremely invasive and in the current state not very effective against cheaters.

Mind blown how terrible one game can be after a month of closed beta to work out the issues. Graphics are bad, gameplay and movement is awful for the type of game they wanted it to be. anti cheat system is just to make extra money off your personal data, connectivity issues alone make me want to uninstall. wouldn't recommend to anyone

4 Maps on launch, 2 of which are bad (Bind and Split). No ranked mode on launch. Peeker's advantage that seems somehow more unfair than CS. For some reason you can shoot pretty damn accurately while walking with shift. Characters look fine, though a little unoriginal and boring on some( Raze looks like a **** default fortnite character). Gameplay is solid though does get stale over some time since it feels like every engagement I take in this game is the same from the last. Character abilities can be very fun like Jett, Raze and Sova, though pretty damn boring on others like Brimstone. Weapon balance seems fine, the Judge is a little OP on some parts of maps especially for the price. Gameplay is slower paced compared to CS. As of right now the game feels very average overall, though shows potential to be much better with updates, only time will tell if these needed changes come soon enough. Expand

Valorant is a very calculated game. If you have no experience with FPS's then this game will be hard to get good in. If you put the time into it though you'll have an enjoyable time. Some cons I'd say is the gameplay always feels the same and there isn't much diversity. Also, the slow you get from taking fire is a very annoying mechanic. Standard shooter with not much difference to others.

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. During the beta the hype made me very hopeful for this game but when i got my hands on it i was very disappointed, the comparison of CSGO and OVERWATCH mixed is kind of true but if i wanted to play a FPS with good mechanics and overall just better game play i would choose CSGO and if i wanted to play an fps with abilities and different characters to choose from I would choose OVERWATCH. Valorant tries to copy both of these games but just fails at it and makes it almost unplayable Expand

It's Ok for a game to be this demanding but only a group of players will enjoy it. I like other games where I have more variety of game styles and abilities that allows me to effectively fight someone with better mechanical skills using strategy, good positioning and knowing you character abilities. If you really want a tactical shooter, there is CS:GO already, this game have a different aesthetic just because it is what has been popular in recent years. The abilities aren't very important, at least in my experience with the game, some could argue that is the reason I didn't enjoy the game, but honestly some matches that I won was as boring as the ones I lost. So my point is... if the GAME is not FUN, why bother playing it? Don't fall to the fear of missing out. PD: the anti cheat system was a real pain, it is very intrusive and unnecessary considering the amount of cheaters in the platform for a closed beta, can't imagine how is it going in the full release. Valorant has great voice acting, but that is where the positives end. The game feels like it wants to be a hero tactical shooter, and in turn fails at both. If you're new to the genre, Valorant doesn't care, Valorant will clump you with people and you'd best pray that you have the CSGO pro on your team or prepare to be stomped over and over, because that's another thing; there are too many rounds.
You can't just go in for a quick game, where sure maybe you'll get pubstomped, but you'll be out of it quickly and able to try again. No, Valorant as of right now 6/6/2020, has no mode that feel good to play from a casual stand point and no mode that would fit the role of 'quick play'.
At the end of the day this game will have to choose between being a full fledged hero shooter, or a 'tactical shooter with super powers' that is nowhere as cool as that title might allude to it being.

In true Riot fashion of copying other successful titles, this game is an attempt at tackling CS:GO, a long-time king of the tactical shooter space. Unfortunately, it's quite terrible.

In true Riot fashion of copying other successful titles, this game is an attempt at tackling CS:GO, a long-time king of the tactical shooter space. Unfortunately, it's quite terrible.

    --Gameplay--
Abilities feel very much 'in the way' in this game. Unlike in Overwatch where it feels like the majority of your abilities are impactful and unique, the abilities in Valorant feel tacked on and poorly thought out. Even the animations are a bit too clunky, often resulting your death while you're waiting for the animation to resolve. Many character abilities are painfully over or undertuned. This really should have been hashed out in the beta.

Gunplay is also something that needs work. Aside from the acknowledged hit reg issues (should never have been released with that issue; probably just wanted to gain some money from a glorified beta like many other companies), the netcode -- in this case, communication between the servers and clients in the server -- is terrible. It doesn't feel responsive at all and the guns don't feel very powerful. Unlike the assault rifles in CS:GO, you should just flip a coin if you're trying to shoot with the ARs in this game.

    --Graphics & Assets--
I'm not usually one to criticize graphics. I hate when people use that as a main reason for despising a game; however, I have to acknowledge that, beyond the lackluster 2014 graphics, this game lacks any character at all.

In Overwatch, there's objects to destroy, actual environments to explore, and each obstacle isn't just a wall or a generic stack of crates. The levels feel like they were lived in and the obstacles are just there. They exist because they belong there. It's the same with CS:GO.

    --Conclusion--
I feel that Valorant really tried too hard to be a blockbuster hit and the developers boxed themselves in. Too much of this feels safe and designed instead of experimenting to see if they could take an old formula and mix it up. Nothing feels original and one of the main sticking points that any tactical FPS needs is missing -- solid, impactful gunplay.

I do hope Riot turns it around in a few patches and makes this game really shine, but as is I won't be revisiting it anytime soon.

El juego podría ser de hace dos generaciones sin problemas, fuertemente vendido como moda pasajera vía Twitch. Podrían haber puesto al menos un poco de empeño en la caracterización de personajes y efectos visuales simples pero no necesariamente horribles.

Valorant has a high-quality and clean release without any problems. The game will definitely please fans of the competitive FPS genre. The eSports potential of the shooter has only become established over time, and the first tournaments are already planned. However, a high entry threshold requires serious skill training. But this only makes the game more interesting.

Overall, Valorant is a great game to play if you're a fan of first-person shooter strategy games. But it is also something that someone without experience with games like CS:GO can enjoy and pick up quickly. The Agents are, for the most part, balanced, and the planned addition of more should keep the game fresh. The overall style doesn't really land and the sound design needs to be fixed.
