The important thing about this game is that despite what anyone has to say about the various stages of nudity, it’s perfectly playable and delivers exactly what it sets out to – boobs, butt, and brawling.

In the end, the game fails to be anything more than a Senran Kagura also ran. While I’m not opposed to over the top games of this type (not to mention that the combat is pretty fun), it annoys me when the developers don’t do enough with the material they have. The best thing I can say about the game is how well it adapts to being ported to the PC from the PlayStation Vita (which I played quite a bit). The graphics are sharp and the frame rate is slick with minimal slowdown even when numerous enemies fill the screen. That’s where the good mostly ends. Valkyrie Drive Bhikkhuni has short sidedness to its design that Senran Kagura addressed in its own sequel. So who knows? Perhaps Valkyrie Drive Bhikkhuni 2 might be better.

Valkyrie Drive -Bhikkhuni- hopes the abundance of cheap titillation will distract you from the uninspired repetitive brawling. There isn’t anything wrong with the game per se but it doesn’t do anything you can’t find done better elsewhere and that’s a shame.

If Valkyrie Drive -Bhikkhuni- sounds rather crazy, that’s because it is. And that’s why it astounds me how tedious it manages to be the majority of the time.

A decent action game, but one weighed down by its terrible plot, crummy characters, and off-putting attempts to be racy.

This game is actually fantastic. The music is amazing, Combat is solid and it actually has good plot. Pc version also supports very highThis game is actually fantastic. The music is amazing, Combat is solid and it actually has good plot. Pc version also supports very high resolutions like ultra hd and has no framecap.

Gameplay: It has main mission story, where you have to play missions first time on pre determined characters and that is due to plot reasons. After you beat it, then you can play that mission with any characters. On main missions you have to travel around a map, where you can find money/items that fill your "special" meter, and collectibles. On the map you encounter different kind of enemies and at the end you encounter a boss. I recommend playing on hard soon as you can, to give it some challenge. It has two endings. How to unlock true ending, well after you beat it first, then it will tell you what missions to play with perfect rating and you can get the true ending missions.

Game also has other modes like survival mode where you need to beat certain amount waves of enemies. Harder ones unlock as you play the main mission.

Challenge mode, where you need to do things that description says. Harder ones unlock as you play the main story.

It also has practice mode and online play(but its dead), but they can be played with bots.

Each character has its own weapon and combos. Then they have special attacks that can be unlocked when you enter into higher drives and also higher drives unlock more combos/makes them longer. Game also has universal phantom attacks, that not only does damage, but also gives damage boost long as you have combo on and they stack.(Combo resets after certain time for not attacking enemy)

Characters: It has 7 playable characters. (+1 with dlc. It adds 2, but other can only be a extar.)
Each character has their own personality and fight style. Voice acting is also fantastic, especially adorable voice of Manpukumaru-chan.
I usually dont like food characters, but Manpukumaru is different. She is so over the top food lover and it actually affects on the plot. She also actually has story arc, and we actually learn and she has good reason why she loves so much food, but im not gonna spoil it.
There is also a good reason why her attack combos are the way as they are and we learn it during the story.
Other characters are good too, but im not gonna spoil them.

Plot: You start as a Rinka and Ranka sister who are transferred to the Bhikkhuni island. (Bhikkhuni means female Buddhist monk). They, along with the rest of the people living in the island are infected with VR-Virus. (Valkyrie virus) It gives its owners special powers and causes aggression.
Later you learn why things are the way, they are and learn more about the past of the Bhikkhuni island and true purpose of it. I really cant say more without spoiing. At first story goes slowly, but later it starts to pick up the speed.

Music is also great, some touching tracks, some badass rock/punk etc. Each character has their own drive music, what is a good thing and bad thing, because you then only hear it instead of mission music, except boss music.

Negatives: Game is for me atleast too easy, certain bosses were challenging though, especially final boss, where i died plenty of times.
Drive musics, while they are great, they also stops the map music playing, so i try not to do it too early in the mission.
Also game has bit too small roster of playable characters. Hopefully sequels would fix it.

Also finally about fan service. You can have it lots of in the dressing room etc, but you can skip most of the fan service if you dont like it. But if you like fan service, it also has it.
