As soon as you enter the home solar system, you can see major improvements to the planets and the stars. The planets rotate and orbit their stars. Each alien race looks more life-like.

    Some gameplay mechanics have been improved as well, such as fixing glitches in the original code, and generally making things more user-friendly (no more wasting minerals because your lander was full!).

    An incredible effort has been put into this project, and it's worthwhile to check out for fans of Star Control 2 and newcomers alike.    … Full Review »

    This HD remake makes the game look fantastic, of course. And not only that, it also includes improvements to the gameplay elements, making it much better experience for the new players.

Virtually everything about the original game has been enhanced and improved in a positive way, from the graphics (which are gorgeous), down to minor gameplay tweaks. All in all, it's very worth the time spent playing it and I can't recommend it enough.… Full Review »
