Turmoil is a simple oil-drilling game. The levels themselves are a bit repetitive, but the power ups definitely improve this. You spend you time using scanners to find oil, and you quickly run out of money in the first month. I would definitely recommend this for people who want a simple game experience.

I've had this game for a little while and just got back into playing it.
It's honestly pretty fun to have to manage whether or not to sell and who to sell to based on the prices for oil at different companies, and the upgrades are pretty good as well. I can definitely say I recommend this game.
However, the wagon AI is terrible. I've literally gotten spillages with literally 40 wagons

However, the wagon AI is terrible. I've literally gotten spillages with literally 40 wagons and one rig with the pipe width boosted twice because the wagons don't care enough to stay near it or take any oil when it's almost at the top. This is the only reason I've had to get the timer upgrade, which extends the duration of time that a rig can be at full capacity before spilling.

If the wagon AI is improved slightly so that they're more aware of what rigs are producing the most oil, the game would be a bit more enjoyable, although it is very enjoyable already.

If I give it a straight score, it would be 9/10. As for the price. It's perfect for a game like this. Then there's Turmoil- The Heat Is On, which has a DLC. This adds some great things to the game in DLC. Expand

Turmoil is an addictive and pleasantly nostalgic management strategy. In the role of an entrepreneurial discoverer you try to get rich on oil production, but your dream of dollars spewing from the land will not last long. The game campaign soon becomes a stereotype.

Turmoil plays like a casual game, but as you go along you quickly see that a lot of thought was put into it by people who really like to make games. I found it exciting and fun and just hard enough to keep me interested. If you like games that force you to put some effort in to them, I highly recommend getting it off Steam.

Even with the upgrades and competition, Turmoil is the epitome of simplicity. It is more about betting against oneself when drilling, playing an extremely simple market, and exploiting upgrades for the most gain.
