Riding in this game has an excellent amount of realism, the physics simulation is very accurate in the sense that if your riding a large hp bike its going to be difficult to tame, bumps in the road effect your suspension and the bikes handling in a way you would expect. You feel drawn into game and when I really started to get it and zone in my heart was pounding my brain felt like it was on track up to speed and ready for anything.

You have to invest time in this game to get to the point where it really feels like your riding a motorcycle. the Courses are about as forgiving as the real things. This is where I think a lot of the negative reviews come in they are expecting an arcade like muted experience. Your not going to find that here. It starts to give more once you start realizing the developers really wanted you to feel on the edge.

I ride bikes to commute, on track for fun and even did some club racing, my only critiques is that it seems impossible to get a good start, secondly, there are no practice and qualifying sessions at least not in the early game that I've come across, thirdly the rpm counter on the dash on some of the bikes doesn't rev out or give you indicators for changing gear like you would expect, however the HUD element which cant be positioned in the middle does so your constantly aware of the sound of the bike and the rpm indicator in your peripheral.

All in all I recommend spending at least 2 hours playing with the racing line off, helmet view, map off, corner hints off, manual gearing and really start to dial back the rider assists. The game is gonna punish you for making bad mistakes just like the real track and bikes would. Once you get through that you feel exhilarated to a new level. Anyone giving this game less than 5 wanted Ride4 or a MotoGP game, they wanted to be lazy and have the game shower them in gratitude - that ain't gonna happen. Invest get good. this game has a lot to offer.

I really did want that race weekend experience though.

Realistic and exhilarating, TT Isle of Man lets you experience the rush of speed and danger without the risk of falling off the ramp. We can't guarantee your gamepad is safe, though.

TT Isle of Man may be an interesting game for true fans of motorbikes, but with dead multiplayer and small amount of content it won't live for a long time.

TT Isle of Man: Ridge on the Edge deserves praise for its fairly meticulous recreation of the famous event. The sense of speed, high quality audio, and the impressive visuals, amount to a visceral driving experience. This may be reason enough in itself for motorcycle enthusiasts to give it a try, especially since there's an on-going shortage of this type of racer. With that said, though, those hoping for a simulative experience will quickly identify a few shortcomings.
