Troubleshooting: Abandoned Children is a big, complex game with an incredible number of settings, crafting and modifications, which can take hundreds of hours to complete. The anime style, atmosphere of Atlus games, deep characters and a strong plot make this project a real gift for fans of the genre.

TROUBLESHOOTER: Abandoned Children is a game created from pure heart and passion, and if its reach exceeds its grasp at points, then this is far more desirable than the opposite. Though details of Dandylion’s next game are scarce, I would find it compelling to explore the world of Valhalla and its characters further. With a tightening up of the UI, and an increase to the narrative and translation budget, it would be an exciting prospect that would build on this game’s strengths and values.

While it looks like an XCOM knock-off, Troubleshooter is much more RPG than tactics. It has unique characters with different mechanics and literally hundreds of perks that lead to drastically different builds. [Issue#246, p.39]

It mixes gameplay similar to X-Com with a fairly expansive customization system. The game is always improving, with one of the most responsive and best developer teams. If you find a bug or some weird phrasing, you can post it on the forums, and they will start fixing it as soon as possible. They even take some suggestions to improve the game. If you want to, there is even a system you can opt into to improve the translation (The developers are Korean). The community is pretty active, too. If you have a question about anything, you can post it on the forums, and the community will answer it relatively fast. For the current price of $25, It is well worth the price. Just playing the story will net you well over 40 hours, and that is just part of the game. It also contains quest to mix thing up a little, and repeatable quest that will push you to improve your team. There is also an unofficial discord that is has multiple veteran players that are willing to answer questions, talk about builds, theorize new content, and more. I currently have over 1000 Hrs in this game, and that time will keep increasing.

    TLDR:
It's a great game with a great developer. Buy it, it's only $25.

Your squad is usually moreExcellent mix between XCOM and FFT, with very in-depth masteries/materias build for each character in your team. Your squad is usually more powerful than ennemies (except bosses) who compensate by numbers, crowd control being more important as the game progress.

Story concentrates on the city-state of Valhalla being subject to gangs violence, the government enacting the Troubleshooter law in response (private security/mercs being judges and enforcers of law alongside cops in exchange for loot rights on cases). You follow Albus starting his PMC and recruiting people to afford bigger cases narrated with an anime-style.

Being korean, the devs struggles with english and translation is still stiff here and there, being improved each patch (usually twice a week).
Overall, this is an amazing game, especially for a 6-devs team first try, priced really low compared to value (20 bucks for 60+ hours, way more with crafting).
It should get all the exposure and support it can get, especially with co-op and pvp on the horizon.

There's a fully functioning pet and robot system, and the mastery board system to customize each of your character's strengths is literally one of the BEST in rpg history, and I do NOT say that lightly. The game have exceptionally beefy content for its price, not to mention its potential high replayability through skills customization, and while the level design is challenging it also comes with adjustable difficulty for the less hardcore SRPG fans making it player friendly for all skill levels.

The visual is a reminiscent to pre-2009 Korean MMORPG, which personally I find to have its own charm.
