    There is so much art into tricking people into thinking you are a townsperson, but the real fun is getting neutral roles and winning.

    This game is one of my favorites as it not only tests your ability to persuade and deceive others, but the large cast of roles allows for many different ways to play the game. Each new game you hop into is a new and fun experience giving you plenty of variety.

    I have been playing this game since 2014 and though my time of playing i have seen this game slowly go uphill to the point that the moderation team doesn't want to ban people who don't break the rules, while willfully and rightfully banning people who actually break the rules, like the users Trace and FiestyMoka.     Fun game. I loved interacting and roleplaying with real players. However, there are many boring roles for me, and for the most part, you get those roles.

    a fun game that expands on the murder mystery genre. no real bugs in it and balancing is good. 9/10 would recomend

    The chances of Town winning over Mafia are like 70%. Especially on the normal gamemode, You really have to play Ranked. But on Ranked people are way smarter so it still doesn't make that of a difference.     Town Of Salem is a fantastic strategy game with a complex but easy learning curve, there is so many roles abilities and objects to overcome just in one game which is amazing. The game has over 9-10 modes they are all unique in their own way, classic is simple and gives you what you need to get started, there is even ranked match’s and custom matches with full control over the roles. There is also other chaotic but strategic modes, there is no leveling up system but you get achievements and coins for accomplishing goals or wining. Also the shop is field with satisfying rewards, skins maps houses and much more. The presentation is great and the soundtrack is surprisingly well made and fits very well, but I wish if the friend code system would last forever, I mean playing with friends is beyond fun seriously. Town Of Salem is an amazing game with its many roles and groups to its complex ways to claim the victory flag, and the satisfying customization system makes all the coins you collected worth the while, this game is especially fun with friends so I highly recommend it. (Amazing 4/5) Your Missing Out!… Expand

    Music is very jammable, a mamma mia of a piece, I haven't played the game yet because my friends aren't letting me get on but I'm just sitting here listening to the music. Very good game, would recommend to anyone with a taste of music.

    On the bright side, this game is by far the most amazing game I've ever played. it has a range of different roles that everyone upholds and its fun beefing people. all together, i would like to say that i can't play this game rn and i hate my life. i hope something is done about this ASAP before i cry myself to sleep.

    Pretty good game and has decent playerbase yes you can play this free on browser but steam version is a lot less laggy and has achievements and stuf.
    dont buy the dlc nobody plays that trash

    -my personal information was leaked
    -bots in every game -got banned for no reason ( not permanent) -the game got switched to paid because they couldn't find a fix to the bots which decreased the player count ( even though i started playing with the paid version this is still bad) -the DLC    I LOVE THIS GAME, but because of the latest things that has happened to it, i have to give it a 3

    Town of Salem is nothing more than a glorified chat client to play a party game similar to "Mafia" or "Werewolf" and your enjoyment of the game really depends on the community. Thankfully, there seems to be an active community that are still playing the game (despite it being a few years old) and there's always someone willing to help you learn the ropes.     First of all, the game ISN'T balanced. It isn't supposed to be. Your not SUPPOSED to win as Werewolf or Witch or Executioner or something like that. It is supposed to fun to deceive the Town when you are that role. I will reference another review, Doutzen said that "Even if you are the smartest one, you're gonna lose as hell, when your companions are total idiots." I hope this review pushed you to try out the game. It is completely free and AWESOME. There are many modes, such as All Any or Custom. If you are more serious, maybe try Ranked Practice or just Ranked. It's much more easier to win, as people are more at your skill level. Also, people are a lot more serious. Although there are many strategies, try at least five games yourself to see if you can find any.… Expand

    This may sound weird but this game is one of my favorite PC games. The amount of fun for this game is so weird and it looks boring but its fun. Maybe because i want to win alot.

It is hard to find a game without gamethrowers at this point. We see countless people trying to kill confirmed townies as Vigilante, or voting up confirmed townies in a 2v1 situation, with town majority, as town. People purposefully lettingTown of Salem was a very fun game. Unfortunately over the last year it has been ruined by the community. The game has become filled with gamethrowers. It is hard to find a game without gamethrowers at this point. We see countless people trying to kill confirmed townies as Vigilante, or voting up confirmed townies in a 2v1 situation, with town majority, as town. People purposefully letting their faction lose so that way their friend can win. People who make entirely different accounts to gamethrow and cheat.     Play this game! It's like playing mafia but on a computer! There are a lot of roles to be, you can customize your character, lie and this game is just full of suspense!

    This is a great game but the community is broken... I may keeping playing but I will likely switch to Throne of Lies soon. The game itself is.... okay, but it's just imbalanced and toxic. I feel it could be done better.

Lots of content, which includes roles, different ways to play, etc. Large competitive scene that anyone who knows how to take notes, process situations, and think logically can get in to. Although the player base isn't exactly the friendliest (which is in no way the game or developer's fault, which is why I'm not taking off pointsVery good game.     Really fun game to play,Every game i play there is always a different challenge, Certain roles are unbalanced, and some are definitely better than others, but the game usually runs great without bugs. overall a really good game.

    This game is completely unbalanced, the biggest problem is that there are no consequences for people who leave at the beginning of the game. There are people screaming nazi paroles and nothing happens with them. Gamethrower face no consequences and the game gets worse with every patch.

    Extremely awesome, a game that involves mandatory strategical thinking and reasoning in order to survive in this Town of Salem! The community can get quite competitive though, so be warned.
