An awesome refreshment to an already great game, although the price is not cheap In my opinion, fairly, it is totally worth it and provides quite a bang for the buck.
There is no need to hate Rome 2 Total War just because of its rough release, appreciate the state which the game is in now and enjoy every damn minute of it!

Great DLC! Really enjoying it. One of the more challenging campaigns I have played. Happy they were able to add some new content to my favorite total war.

One of the best campaign DLC for Rome 2 to be released so far. New game mechanics in this campaign and in the Power and Politics patch released along side of it.

Hopefully this will not be the last dlc they make for this game.

Rome 2: Empire Divided is a weird beast. I have no idea why Creative Assembly went back and made this expansion. Maybe this is a part of some corporate plan to mimic Paradox’s approach to their strategy games or just a sincere, but uninspired attempt to breathe new life into an aged game. But in any case, it is too little, too late.

The Empire Divided campaign partially succeeds in being a fun new addition to the Total War universe, but it quickly becomes clear that the old shortcomings of the Rome 2 engine and a lack of great new mechanics, music and voice-overs make for an experience that feels older than it should.

The Rome II: Empire Divided DLC is the standard Total War that we all know and love. There are no huge surprises and for the most part, mechanics added do a good job at immersing you into the Third Century and a Roman Empire fallen into chaos. Banditry isn’t all that noteworthy but Cults are fun and thematic. In sum: if you can’t get enough of Total War, give this one a try.
