    This DLC is WAY overpriced for what you get. Also the scenario is NOT very good. NOT well designed. NOT fun to play and NOT an enhancement ofThis DLC is WAY overpriced for what you get. Also the scenario is NOT very good. NOT well designed. NOT fun to play and NOT an enhancement of the core game. Its $15 for a piece of CRAP basically. There are better mods out there for free. Now CA can probably appreciate how flawed their entire approach to Rome II has been. If the engine design and the basic engine had been built properly an idea like this would have translated into a great mini campaign. As it is definitely WAIT till you can get this POS for about $1. Because that's all it's worth. I fell like a real moron for paying full price for this.

Instead of fixing a still broken game, they try an fix it in a mini dlc, which offers nothing new other then slight changes you can do yourself with player mods. I mean seriously....no offense to Caesar fans, but they could have chosen a much better Era during roman times for this DLC....Gaul conquests are boring, and even more boring in Caesar in Gaul. What ever happened to all nations feeling unique? Those historic pop ups that would educate you or give you a choice that could really change the outcome of your campaign? Those cool videos that agents had when they failed or were successful in a mission? Coop or Head 2 head games that players could both move at the same time? This DLC sucks...for a game which is still broken. Rome 2 is still the worst of the TW Franchise and this DLC just rubs salt on the wounds.… Full Review »

    What features does Caesar in Gaul add to the gameplay? Seasons. Seasons and an improved "realm divide" mechanic. Neither feature is new for the TW series, but simply features that did not make it to the main game for whatever reason - and features that were advertised as if they had been innovative or unique for this title.

    Caesar in Gaul essentially scales up a setting that is already in the main campaign. It does it well, however. It also adds one single historical battle to the existing four. A low number for any Total War game, only matched by Empire.

    As it happens expansions nowadays come with the most absurd price tags. Compared with Rise of the Samurai for Shogun 2, which offered an entirely new setting, entirely new factions and units plus a number of other minor things, the price of Caesar in Gaul is borderline absurd. Almost twice the cost for a much less innovative expansion offering less features, released to an unfinished game.    … Full Review »
