    Not regretting trying it, here's the lesson, never take negative reviews seriously on metacritic until you have tried certain game for yourself. You might miss out on many outstanding games that are hated for dumb reasons.

    They brought Keener back to appeal to vets of the first game. Instead of making his return relevant, they chose to go with a dull predictable manhunt option. They'd be better off setting up and dual faction game - SSHD vs Rogues and let players decide who they would like to side with in the storyline.     Every time I play Ubisoft games, I hope I can find fun and enjoy the art design, music, history background... etc. Than I found out that the design of the game is not giving joy to player but painful way to humiliate solo player. AI are too powerful and can easily destroy solo one. If you make a team, you will see 4 players without a tank. Players use drone and that is the game.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. I was so bothered by all the negative reviews that I created a Metacritic account just to post an opposing review. My real score for this game is about 7.5 for the PvE game. I rarely if ever engage in PvP.

    I have no idea what all the hatred is in the user reviews. Maybe on day one or month one there were bugs and game issues. However I never buy games when the first come out because #1, they are ludicrously overpriced, and #2, they are typically full of bugs that get worked out in the first few months.

    Overall, WONY is a solid addition to the already very solid Div2. The story is OK, pretty much more of The Division lore and expected storytelling. Graphics are awesome and sound is top notch. Gameplay is pretty stellar as well and in line with Div2 as far as pretty intuitive and seamless use of weapons, skills, and movement.

    Solo campaign length is adequate and rewarding with the new level 40 cap and SHD levels after that. I have seen others complain about how this "breaks" old items and builds and to some extent I agree. I spent way too much time in Div2 collecting gear sets and weapons that are instantly rendered obsolete in WONY. I'm OK with that as I'm a solo PvE player and rarely play in the DZ. I do enjoy co-op and I can't see how the changes in WONY break that in any way.

    Since I bought this game on sale and primarily play PvE, I am very pleased with it. If you paid full price on day one and have a different play style, your mileage may vary.    … Expand

    Same grind as base game, not for everyone who wasn't completely satisfied with the loot loop that was in the base game.
    It was a satisfactory experience but a fun and enjoyable personal experience but I can see many other players having a hard time enjoying.

    This expansion is fine. The new area is packed with the same level of detail seem in the original division 2 and looks quiet good. The new sub bosses of the main narrative are fairly average. Honestly if you liked the division 2 and want more, then this is for you. Side note: The game was review bombed after there was an exploit in the game and those that exploited it recieved bans.     Massive Entertainment took a fun experience in the original version and turned it into something unfun, bug-ridden, unbalanced and unplayable in the expansion. Patches after patches keep turning the experience from really bad to worse.

But warlords, was a total let down, everything that was good got broke, and everything that was broke, got worse. Itemization was good at first, but then again, like division 1, it is useless since there is only 2 or 3 viable builds for later difficulty. Enemies have huge health and hit hard in a failed attempt to make the game more challenging, but this only made the game worse, frustrating and dull. The added storyline is a good thing, but endgame are those same old maps, with some boring time challenges, this expansions add nothing good or new, and breaks what was good in base game.… Expand

    **** company with tons of bug , server disconnect and cheat, which uni never fix it.The Massive is very toxic to the player, this mother **** nerf things with at least40% when the NPC just nerf around 10%.I am done with this **** game.

    Obvious review bombing by banned cheaters.

    Expansion was a bit short, but like the direction they took with the game by removing gear score and adding the SHD level system.

    The Warlords of New York expansion not only added plenty of enjoyable content to The Division 2, but also sets up the foundations for all updates to follow. Anyone looking for more third person, loot and shoot gameplay will find plenty to enjoy here, with players new and old able to jump in and explore Lower Manhattan.

    Warlords of New York is a welcome addition to The Division 2 and it probably marks the most fun I’ve had with the series to date. While some content falls a little flat, each one of the special encounters is a manic and explosive experience that will bring you to the edge of your seat. The quality of life changes, including the refined loot systems, also breathe life back into one of last year’s more enjoyable looter-shooter titles.
