I'm happy to see how this game became everything I wanted for it once immersive mode was added.
If you're disappointed with this game and haven't tried immersive mode, give it another chance, it's a different game now.

I`ve bought this game on epic store with coupon for like 5$ and I must say It`s pretty good, runs fine in 1440p maxed out on 1080 ti and ryzen 3600, got a lot of story content and enjoyable gameplay, graphics are very good too. I played it strictly as single player with AI controled team.

The anticheat is a joke. You can pretty much cheat in every gamemode besides ghost war.

Bought the game for cheap on sale and after 2 days im 260 gear score and sick of it. To get better gear above gear level 250 you need to run raids 24/7 but the blueprints and such are only rewarded once a week.

I could write a whole book about how bad this game is but im sick of it.

To be honest, my previous review was based on my open beta gaming experience. While playing beta, I've noticed only few small bugs.

2 days ago I got my hands on full version. To be clear, I've played 21+ hours in these 2 days and before all this time I was sure that most of hateful reviews about the game were caused by microtransactions, I have never been so wrong before..

Amount of bugs is just unbelievable. I think that they have lost fixed version of the game and released one what they have had even before open beta test.

Maybe I don't understand something, but it these 2 days I've traveled all around the map and cleared a lot of it. What should I do for the next 1-2 years?

But I still can't understand why people hates those microtransactions so much.. You can buy whatever you want? What's so bad in it? If it is implemented in the game, such demand exists from the gamers side.

Levels and gear doesn't effect PVP, so why you're so mad? There are a lot of players who don't have much time for farming.

    Conclusion:
Not enough of content, a lot of bugs - 5 angry gamers of 10

    _________
    Oct 5, 2019

According to representatives of Ubisoft, your gear and skills doesn't affect PVP, so I don't see any problem in microtransactions when people can buy skill points and gear for real money, until it doesn't effect my gaming experience. If they don't want to waste their time and are ready to pay for it - it's their choice.

The problem is that game price is 60€ for base version, it is worth considering that there will be more than one DLC, which will also cost a lot of money. If Ubisoft decided to follow the path of microtransactions, then they could make the game and DLC's much cheaper. Now it turns out that the company is trying to squeeze the maximum amount of money out of the players.

    About the game itself:
Of course, Ubisoft is famous for its game worlds, but like in many other games, in my opinion, the plot and logic are terrible.. I haven't played previous games in the "Ghost Recon" series, however this one is incredibly similar to "The Division". Perhaps Ubisoft did not want to invent anything new and simply copied the mechanics of "The Division", or maybe they decided to transfer these mechanics due to the large number of positive reviews.

Many complained about the AI of partners in the last game of the series, and so, in this part you are all alone. The first few hours of playing alone may seem interesting to you, but then you will become incredibly bored.

Maybe I don’t understand something, but replacing equipment every 5-10 minutes is just nonsense.

To be honest, I absolutely don't give a damn about the main villain. Whether it’s a famous actor or Donald Trump himself, only the gameplay is important to me.

    Policy:
The pricing policy of the game, which does not introduce any incredible innovations, is not something incredibly complicated, is just disgusting.

The game is an ordinary looter-shooter similar to Destin 2, so why not to make the base version of the game free, as Bungie did. Is Bungie richer than Ubisoft, or Ubisoft is simply incredibly greedy?

My run through the game was with one other person, and together, we really did have to plan and coordinate in order to successfully complete missions. We got to explore the entire huge island together, which took plenty of time on its own, and then aside from that got to experience the campaign together and theorize about where the plot was going. There are some issues with bugs and online connection, but that hasn't been a huge issue for me at all. I had to redo maybe three small sections of missions in totoals due to bugs, which was lame, but nothing detrimental to how the game overall. With some minor tweaks, this could be a great game.

I will say the story is nothing to go crazy about, but it certainly isn't boring. You really do feel like your missions are purposeful, even though they're technically all the exact same tasks at different locations. There are plenty of collectibles and little things to look into for people who really are deeply interested in the story. For everybody else, there's so much exploring and upgrading to do to last you weeks.

For the bugs within the game, I've really seen nothing major. I haven't fallen through the map, my game hasn't crashed, and I've never lost game progress. The only real bug issue I've had in being unable to find or pick up intel, or the issue of reching a checkpoint that does register, meaning you can't progress. The few times it happened, I reset and it took less than ten minutes to get back to where I was.

The online connection is bad. I don't play the online so it personally doesn't bother me, but it just doesn't work well sadly.

Bug and server connection need to be top priority for Ubisoft, but after that, they do have a really good game on their hands.

How can you make a game like this and not have AI teammates? Not everybody has friends that play this game and not everyone wants to play with random people. I want this story to be my story. Not some random people online and my story. You think it’s not a big deal until you’re driving a car and accidentally come across an enemy car with a turret. Then it’s a big deal. I get it Ubisoft. Make the game online only so either you convince your friends to buy the game or your screwed. Not every game needs to be an online game. Not every game needs to go viral.

Second, this game is Tom Clancy’s Division 2 with a new map. Copy and paste a Division 2 home base and you have the cave village. Copy and paste Division 2’s loadout screen and you have Breakpoint. Copy and paste Division 2’s level system and you have Breakpoint. Copy and paste Division 2’s gun level system and you have breakpoint. Copy and paste Division 2’s gear level system and you have Breakpoint. Alright you get it. I’m not kidding though. It’s a damn near perfect mirror image of Tom Clancy’s Division 2.

This all shows me which I despise the most from AAA developers. Lack of motivation and lack of creativity. Let’s face it, Ubisoft has made it to the top and they’re not as interested in quality. The number one difference between aspiring developers and AAA developers is the hunger to put out something revolutionary, something groundbreaking. Since the release of FarCry 5 I’ve come to realize Ubisoft isn’t hungry anymore.

Aurora has lots of biomes and its way more different than Wildlands.

Best thing! Your progression stays till you die or reload. So you wont get hit by an SAM that you cleared just 2 minutes ago. Loot and vehicles stay. Cleared bases stay cleared and there isnt a strange respawn or unlimited hunters like Unidad.

Weapon and Equipment details are awesome! Ok... I got a 75" 4k setup. So i can enjoy it more than ohters;).

You get a good shooter with a strange gear score system because the developers wanted you to switch between guns instead of sticking to the same gun for the whole game.

Ubisoft always listens to their players. Thats why lots of stuff got removed or weakend after the first tech test. But it also causes lots of improvement like it did in Wildlands.

Wildlands? Commonly helicopter use for transport. Breakpoint? Aurora is so full of stuff and action that i commonly travel by foot. And Aurora is huge! So its a real challenge to keep players on the ground. And a big achievement that it worked.

I would wish for more drones. Including player made ones. Since you get lots of drone parts.
And you can only sell 1 item at a time... Even if you got 200 of it. Kinda annoying but hey... I got lots of hate when i complained about that in RDR2.

Recomendation. Buy it if you like exploration and good gun play. Its designed to be a 4 Player coop game or an immersive Solo experience. They cut down the survival part because of complaints. But they will include it after people complained that its missing.

Ubisoft works to make the game fully custom. So everyone can choose his own experience. I love this idea!

And again... You dont need to buy anything in the real money shop. They even give new players a vehicle and a helicopter for free... So the other packages are only for those who want the Season pass. Just buy the basic version and you will have alot of fun.

Story? ... 70 hours and i only did 2 side quests and the main quest that was the only aviable in closed beta... Why? Because the game offers lots of exploration and interesting challenges. So i didnt cared for the story. Its a shooter after all.

I'd considered the series dead (to me) after seeing Narco Roads and decided I'd never buy another GR game again unless there were some clear signs they'd gotten the message and gotten it back on track. Well.. recently they dropped the price to $30 for a short time so I decided to try it. I quickly confirmed they're still very much headed in the wrong direction.

It appears that they've spent a whole heap of time on everything aside from the core game play expected in an actual GR game. Movement and gun play is not so good. The ballistics are perhaps a bit better than Wildlands but still not so good. The AI is really really really terrible eg. firing 10m away from an enemy npc w/ a suppressed 7.62x51 at another npc 200m away. The npc nearby acts as if nothing has happened. Then there are the drones and the vehicles. Equally as bad as the enemy AI. Let's not talk about the UI/UX or the missions.

Overall I found the experience frustrating and it was difficult to get any enjoyment out of it. They very much need to go back to the drawing board with this series. Toss out all of this fluff that has somehow found it's way into GR that adds nothing to the core GR experience but actually detracts heavily from it.

It's all about the op. The old style briefings, the intel and analysis. Planning the equipment and reviewing the available information. It adds that bit of immersion and sets the game play up with a purpose. I've gotten probably 4+ hours into GRBP and I'm not sure if I've even finished a campaign mission.

It seems like Ubisoft want all their games to be similar - there are Farcry and The Division aspects in GR now and I believe designing the game this way will set it up for failure every time. Would probably make a lot more sense to get the core GR game play right and add in features that enhance the core game play once it is solid. Add them in a way that makes sense, is true to the experience and enhances it. I don't understand how it's gotten to the point where I can walk into a camp in a cave and somehow purchase a very expensive helicopter. Why is this even in a GR game? there are so many other things that are not only not true to the GR experience, they break immersion and heavily detract from it.

While we wait for the hopeful announcement of a new Splinter Cell game in the future, Tom Clancy’s fans will be happy to know that Breakpoint is actually fun, now. The new Ghost Mode solved many of the issues that plagued the original version, and while it isn’t fully healed from its painful stint as a non-Ghost Recon game, the latest entry in the franchise is trying its best to course-correct. If you are one of the many people who were put off by it at launch, I would recommend you try and give it a try now – just like the eponymous Group for Specialised Tactics, Ubisoft might yet turn this near-miss of the series’ breakpoint into a franchise victory.
