Best game ever. Ubisoft is the best, finally did an awesome job. Haven't donated any cent, and played for like 70+ hours.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint came out in 2019 with mediocre reviews and spoiled what we loved about Wildlands. But in 2021 it is a very solid, polished, and fun game. The story is well told and well acted and the gameplay is awesome with a huge map and good shooting mechanics. It is a shame it did not come out in this polished state it is in now as it might have done so much better.

Good graphics, decent story. tons of bugs in the beginning but they gave it lots of TLC and its getting ALOT better!!! The various bioms are nice. The new tech and buildings are so different from the slums of wildlands. They took away the abilities like calling in reinforcements and artillery etc :(

Episode 2 and 3 feel a little unnecessary and i wish they just combined the best elements of all 3 and made one great expansive campaign but it's still really fun just because of the great gameplay loop. Alot of the initial issues at release have been fixed and so much has been added that its almost an entirely new game. This is worth another go at playing and even though it took awhile and some issues remain this game has really come into its own and is something that will keep you engaged for dozens of hours. To be absolutely clear, Breakpoint as it released years ago deserved the scathing reviews it got. It was terrible, horribly implemented, buggy... It was a mess.

That being said, props need to be given to the team behind this game, because they have stuck with it and have made it one of my most played games over this past year since I picked it up along with the season pass. First and foremost, TURN OFF THE LEVELED LOOT SYSTEM. It adds nothing to the game. If you see any other review of this game from any point past early 2021 complaining about the leveled loot, disregard it completely because the author isn't smart enough to tie their shoes let alone write a game review.

Breakpoint is now one of the most enjoyable TPS games I've played since Wildlands, and although it's not perfect (the always online requirement on its own will ensure it never could be even close to top marks), it's good enough that I've put in over 115 hours.

I wish the AI was just a little bit smarter, but if you crank up the difficulty and turn off assists and make the HUD minimal, it can get extremely immersive. I'd almost call it one of the best tactical roleplaying games (if that makes sense to say) you can get on console.

The world designers at Ubisoft in my opinion never get enough credit: the island of Aurora is very well designed in my opinion, not just in how good the graphics are but in how logical the layout is and what facilities there are. It's like they hired an actual city planner to help them with developing a realistic layout, and what types of support facilities would be needed. Even with no civilians on the roads, the areas where they would be under the martial law the setting is under are brimming with life.

I have to give the developers props for the amount of customization you can do to your experience: you can change many aspects of the game, from how many or few helicopter patrols there are, how many drones you deal with, , how much or how little you want to interact with the survival mechanics , how many guns you can carry, if you have AI teammates or not, every single piece of the HUD can be toggled on or off and have its size changed... I've barely ever seen a game so customizable, experience wise. It's honestly remarkable.

With it being a live service game, they did several live events at certain points. One of the other toggles they added was the ability to set the "world state" to that live event. This is a really great way to make sure that no player misses out on any content that they released over the years, because they were substantial, changing the world map in several ways, from adding poison gas clouds across the island with a story to investigate, to the resistance movement finally going to all out war against the PMC, to even a crossover with the Terminator franchise that has Terminator robots invade.

The story is...Okay at best, but good enough for me to want to kill the bad guys, and honestly what more do you want from a Ghost Recon game? If you're buying the base game and coming from Wildlands, it's important to note that you will not be chasing down and destabilizing different provinces anymore. The base game only has a few missions where the goal is to take out a target, which honestly was disappointing as those were my favorite missions in the last game. However, upon starting the third chapter of the game every one of the objectives is to assassinate a target, which was implemented after player feedback to introduce more Wildlands-esque objectives.

That brings me to something else I need to mention: jumping right in, it can be very confusing to understand what's going on. Especially if you have the Season pass, all DLC expansions are displayed on the main map with barely any explanation as to what to play and in what order if you want to experience all content in chronological story order.

For clarity, play Chapter 1 missions first, then Chapter 2, then Chapter 3. It sounds simple enough, but when everything in thrown on the map at the same time, believe me, it gets a bit confusing, especially when you tack on the optional side missions.

Chapter 2 adds in several missions with Sam Fisher from Splinter Cell, which is pretty entertaining if you ignore the fact that Ubisoft still hasnt given us a damn Splinter Cell game in over a decade. You can turn on the world events I mentioned earlier at any time separately, and I did so at times in the story that I felt made sense (i.e. turning on the Resistance! world parameter after I did the rebellion quest chain up to a point where it would make sense they go to war).

All in all, Breakpoint is better than it's ever been. If you enjoyed Wildlands, and you can get all the content on sale like I did, there is no doubt in my mind you'll find many hours of enjoyment.

Especially the weapons in this game are great and I do love the snipers a lot.

With the latest updates the graphics are nice, 60fps feel great on the PS5. Loading times are not awesome but good. It is a bit sad that Ubisoft only did 1080p60 for the PS5. There surely must ve been more possible e.g. 1440p60 DRS. My biggest complaints with this game is the huge map. Even with fast traveling and helicopters you travel so much and also it destroys the great immersion the game offers. If the map would ve been smaller I think it would ve been very beneficial gameplay wise. Still there is much to do, the game runs flawless most of the time. I had some stuck-issues and some quests being stuck. Nothing too often or too bad, but it happened. The story itself is OKAY. Nothing innovative, nothing too deep but for a military strategical shooter it is fine.

The game can be bought as full edition for 15 to 20 bucks on a regular cycle. For this price the game is absolutely recommendable especially on new console generations. The game runs great, weapons are cool, gameplay is repetitive but fun. If you have at least a good buddy to play with the experience is VERY fun. For solo it is still valid but not as fun I feel. There are PVP options but it was not my turf so I skipped those options. I dropped around 100hrs for main missions, a lot of side stuff, special campaigns like Terminator etc.

The game is now very good since 18 months and it offers an open world, beautiful, with a multitude of approaches (infiltration? Parachute jump from helicopter? approach by boat? Capture an armored jeep with a Gatling gun for a frontal assault?), the possibility to customize your equipment, your outfit. The scenario is quite good and above all there are many missions that leave a lasting memory (ah! the infiltration of the fortress of Flycatcher!)

I can only recommend this game to a group of 4 friends who want a game with $15, full of possibilities, missions, and with such a choice of weapons/holdings/equipment that there is no need for micro-transactions (those are much less present than many games: Fifa & co). A big yes for this great game that deserves much better than 58 !

The "Project Titan" raid was released about a month after launch. I do not personally have experience with raids because I have no friends to co-op with.

Starting early in 2020, they released the Terminator DLC and later Deep State, and Red Patriot. In 2021, Amber Sky was released and features as a reward, one of my favorite assault rifles, the 4-AC. This thing is incredible with its accuracy, range, capacity, and sound. Disregard the negative description of "high recoil" because with ASR skills mastered, this thing is a laser.

The vehicles handle pretty well in the game although land vehicles are ridiculously unrealistic. A sedan that resembles a Cadillac that can climb the most rocky mountain cliffs isn't very sensible, but still fun. The helicopters are a joy to fly and very easy, the planes, not so much, but they are rarely necessary to pilot.

Co-op in the game is very fun. I only wish I knew more people that played so I could run with a 4-player team. As of this review, the game has a 2.9 User Score which is far off the mark for the game today. With all the other trash games out lately, players are returning to Breakpoint and even Wildlands to get their open world shooter fix. Don't dismiss these titles by the user scores here. Pick them up when they are on sale for around $9. You won't regret it.

It's by no means perfect, but if you're starved for tactical action, this might just scratch the itch. If you can pick this up for 12 bucks, I say why not, you might really be surprised. Also, I should add I'm no playing any MP in this game, just solo, and the AI is ok but you can really crank up the difficulty too if you want. Story wise, it's good, not oscar winning good but good nonetheless. Character customization is pretty good, you can create your own soldier from the ground up if you have the patience to gather the loot from around Auroa, that is. For fights, in immersive mode, the guns feel amazing, may it be assault rifles or Sniper rifles , everyone can find their satisfaction since enemies aren't bullet sponges. One thing tho, drones are super annoying to get, but once you find the right spot to shoot at, you can't be stopped when you have a good sniper rifle. One thing tho, there are no mildots for ranging target, so it becomes a real pain in the ass sometimes to compensate the bullet drop. This game is not GTA, it does feel like a mix of lot games, Metal Gear V when you unlock prisoners, sabotage the energy and the scenario itself, Assassin Creed when you hide in the grass, Just Cause when you explode things, Splinter Cell when you shoot the lights, little about the old Ghost recon.

The Graphics are amazing and full of detail, just too much, adn it's sharp, it has an option on PC, FX sharpening, the dust, sun, light feels all amazing in Ultra graphics.

The cons are the team incongruities with the AI enemy passing by them and not shooting them, they teletransport a lot, there's no much controls like a game like Arma 3 where you can do anything with your team,

The major problem of this game is the lack of challenge, idk because I started to play recently but even playing on Extreme it feels boring or too easy, it lacks more enemies and story line.

YES there is a story but it's too random too much of aleatory missions that doesn't fit to which other.

Now the CONCEPT is brilliant! Ghost recon there's plenty of potential. But a game lacking story-LINE, there is too much randomness,

    It's not a bad game it's a 7 above the average.

No, it's not worth a 10. But considering you have a bunch of retards giving a 0, without them even owning the game, it needs to be compensated.

The gunsmith is a step back from Wildlands, which already was a step back from Future Soldier.

As for the whole mtx **** every single weapon and attachement can be found ingame, for free. There is no pay to win what so ever. The only thing limited to the store are a handfull of cosmetics.

The game is not too hard that it frustrates me while not being easy in any way. The game is enjoyable whether you decide to play stealthily or loud, which is an improvement over Wildlands, a game that seemed to force you to go in quietly or get killed instantly. There is added complexity to keep the game interesting, such as upgradable weapons, but the complexity is not forced on players and you can still enjoy the game without making use of any gun upgrades. The game is not in any way boring because there are a variety of environment types (snow, jungle, industrial) to keep the game interesting, and each enemy base has a distinct design (the developers did not copy and paste base design). The game does not force players to spend a very long time upgrading your character (It can be done very quickly), so you will not have to wait until the end of the game to have a fully leveled up character. You can play solo without the game feeling too difficult (The difficulty of enemies becomes higher as you add more coop teammates). My only criticism is that the civilians say a lot of stupid and obnoxious things when you walk past them. I doubt they would talk so rudely to a soldier killing everyone in sight (They would certainly feel intimidated and keep their mouths shut for the most part). I expect the game to be enjoyable to fans of tactical shooters that involve more than just mindless shooting and people who enjoy strategizing during combat. I didn't agree with the negative reviews from critics and I highly recommend this game. I feel as if the critics are only interested in nitpicking about minor things that they dislike about the game and don't appreciate the fun factor of this game. The important thing is that the game is a lot of fun and it certainly delivers in that regard. Expand

This is not a bad game and it's not a great game, but at worst it's a 5 and at best it's an 8 anything above or below that is hog wash and drivel.

And the fact developers continue to work on games long after release is totally underappreciated. These reviews are more telling of society and the joke gamer kids are these days as opposed to actual insights into the games worthiness of your money.

They allow you to skip hunting them on the map with $$,that is not pay to win, also no guns are blatantly better and OP compared to others, your ability to aim matters most. There are a lot of mtx, don't get me wrong, but it is all ALL optional and does not give you any sort of real PvP advantage.
You can only buy the blueprints either way.
Also can NOT (currently) buy skill points (you get them insanely easy and all the time, I have the entire current skill tree unlocked, 55 more skill points with nothing (currently) to spend them on, and still getting more from the many activities that give them.
You earn MANY (most even) skins and blueprints by playing, not paying.
No current xp boosts, though you CAN buy ingame credits, it is not worth it since they are easy to come by via main missions (and pvp also if into it)

That all aside, the game is not without glitches but more are minor annoyance than anything, I have yet to see game breaking issues. The game really shines in Coop, along with PvP.
The PvE story is actually interesting, and I normally skip story **** on all games, even RPGs, but I am enjoying the story in this one, much to my own surprise.

The PvP has been really addictive and a lot of fun, I can't wait to see more modes and maps released.

Graphically the game is gorgeous, but can have some odd texture issues even on all ultra settings, things occasionally look a tad grainy where they should not at a distance that should be properly rendered but it generally does not stay that way and I expect will be addressed.

Overall, myself and my friends that picked it up have really loved it, the RPG aspect is not overly complicated but gives you a greater sense of growth, in our opinions. You upgrade guns as in if i upgrade this G28 DMR, ALL G28 DMRs i pick up in future are upgraded, so it's not a big deal, can play around with guns freely, and gun lvl itself does not matter in PvP, a lvl 2 or a lvl 150 are the same, just the 150 will work better vs higher enemies in PvE (mostly drone/body shots)

The system is a solid upgrade from wildlands, with still more room to improve

The AI is a tun of fun, huge improvements over the trash in Wildlands.

Would recommend the game to anyone even mildly a fan of the series

I write this review as a max lvl, 160 gear score player (not max gs btw) who plays on at least advanced difficulty, and has just had a ton of fun thus far.

9 review simply because there are quite a few bugs, even if they are mostly graphical and not a big hindrance,it needs some cleaning up.

Wow, the game really got butchered here. But I do not think it is fair, as it certainly grows on you. I had some great fun after getting over the main disappointments.

The main disappointment is the whole reward system. It revolves around getting new guns and wearables with different levels and stats. However, it is pointless, as the differences are marginal and has no practical value.

Like the most epic thing you will find might give you a 4% better chance of not being detected by drones. So what? The difference cannot be noticed at all, and you would have to grind forever to get even that useless upgrade.

You can also buy said pointless upgrades, using grinded Skell credits or purchased credits.

There's an experience system to reward you as well, and you gain experience you get skillpoints. Unfortunately, there are quite few skills and you will very quickly run out of meaningful skills to invest in. In fact, after a short while the experience system will max out and getting experience also has no value anymore.

Another kind of reward is to get deeper into the story, but, sadly it is forgettable and the missions are very generic. Most of the time I just skipped through the boring dialogue.

With a broken reward system you will have to self motivate basically. Which is actually not that hard, as there are plenty of ways to take down the enemy and many challenges. Trying different playstyles is in itself quite rewarding.

The game is aiming for more realism this time, and you get none of those super-powers you got in wildlands, such as being able to wipe out entire enemy camps using nothing but your drone, your AI team or the rebels. The drone now is only used for basic surveilance, and even using armored helicopters or cars is not going to help a lot since the enemy is quite effective at countermeasures.

One of the best aspects of the game is the visuals, especially the scenery. The landscape is super detailed and very varied. You often get some wow-moments while wandering around in nature, it can be truly beautiful out there sometimes. It does require a lot of your computer though. I have a 2080 TI myself and top specs, but had to reduce the level of detail a lot from max to have a smooth framerate on an ultrawide screen.

There are quite a few bugs this time, but nothing too bad. Some are a bit annoying, like it is almost impossible to base jump, but I am sure they will patch those out over time.

I play on the hardest difficulty and tone down the HUD a bit.
Single and Coop player - don't PVP

Breakpoint is a straight up improvement to Wildlands across the board pretty much. Everything we asked for from details like tucking in boots (or not if you prefer) to tactical reloads if the magazine is not empty (not using charging handle). Lots and lots of details. It is graphically superior, with a smooth framerate. The sound is great, spatialisation and reverb is quite nicely done. Explosions are magnificent. There are more enemy types that work differently than each other and work together quite well. The enemy AI is quite effective on the harder two settings and, with things like drones, they have more ways to shut you down. I believe the core gameplay has improved and expanded. And the convenience of accessing it is also improved with customisable options for HUD, gameplay and controls that are really in depth making large scale changes to how the game will be experienced. I like the UI for the missions and map too, it's slick to use and I use it a fair bit as I use a minimal HUD.

Personally I get the traversal simulation, you cannot run down a scree slope without it turning into a dangerous maneuver, you have to walk carefully. Sprinting up things however works quite well - as your momentum will carry you over a short steep part that could not be traversed approaching at walking speed. As such you have to plan your exits - and that adds to what I need to do, things I need to think about, risks. I also always wanted the 'search for clues' system of needing to use landmarks to find objectives and wished for that in games like Farcry 3 or Wildlands, well now we have that option. I'm helped to not 'zone out', to use the map, learn the geography. The geography is now more of a 1:1 scale, it feels more believable and the fidelity is quite beautiful. It's also easier to hide in, enemies basically saw through bushes in the first game and foliage gave a huge advantage only to the AI.

All of this leads me to say that the game is "good" - for me personally. But also objectively there are clearly attempts to improve the core game and, while tastes vary, it is not as thoughtlessly and incompetently done as others seem to suggest.

Previously I'd really been enjoying Wildlands, playing weekly over the last few years, but it was buggy and ran badly. The post launch support was rather limp and the additional missions were quite poorly scripted and indeed introduced a fair few bugs. Gameplay-wise it was good, a bit 'lite' and sometimes it felt like GTA, with streams of cop cars turning up by the same route in a big pile up. Cars and trucks would blow up from just a handful of bullets in even the windscreen, and convoy capture missions were a bit silly as a result (capture a tanker that invariably explodes but can then be captured anyway). There could have been more 'hearts and mind' type ideas too regarding use of civilians and the untapped potential of a meaningful way to interact and grow the resistance. But if you took things slower, a different game emerged and I had a lot of fun with it. I would play every Thursday with my pal. Previously I modded 'realistic' ballistics and penetration into Rainbow Six Vegas and Rainbow Six Vegas 2, which we quite enjoyed playing through. Wildlands could be played like that in an open world setting and didn't need modding to do so. Vegas with a bit of Splinter Cell maybe. Having ballistic arcs to the weapons and needing to learn the bullet drop with a given gun an scope was fun - unrealistically difficult because we haven't calibrated the sighting to mean anything - but.. another thing to think about and plan for.

So if the above paragraph was your experience with Wildlands - then Breakpoint is for you.

PS. I wasn't really aware of the microtransactions - I guess they are there if you look for them. It's probably a sort of Shadow of Mordor situation - where they aren't really that big a deal, you've got lots of game and you aren't really missing anything - but some people are so upset by even them being there at all that it ends the conversation before it begins so to speak. It's a psychological thing, and I agree it's toxic - but please, lets just discuss this game. As a live game there's a year of extra missions, mechanics, guns and so on going in to it - like Destiny 2 etc. It doesn't feel unfinished in my experience right now. But there can be even more content sure, I look forward to it and might buy it if it looks good.

If you,re reading this you are most likely contemplating buying Ghost Recon Breakpoint, which means you will be experiencing the best version of this game.
When Breakpoint launched many people were disappointed by the change in direction to the gameplay formula, traditional weapon statistics were changed to tier's with the emphasis on loot.
This Division type formula allowed Ubisoft to heavily monetize Ghost Recon Breakpoint, leaving a very sour taste in players mouths.
Fast forward to April 2020 and you have an engaging experience of which surpasses Wildlands (The previous Ghost Recon) by leaps and bounds!
See after all the backlash from the community Ubisoft came to the decision that it would be a wise move to update the games formula and give players the option to play without tiered loot.
This addressed the monetization too, now players can experience Immersion mode.

Immersion mode gives players the traditional formula, weapon attachments effects gun stats not tiers. With immersion mode comes plenty of gameplay adjusters, from how many bandages you carry to which HUD item is on. My favorite option is the ability to turn injury's to always on, which means every time you get hit by a bullet you sustain an injury in that area. Breakpoint introduces a wide array of new animations, if you get hit in the leg you will hobble. If you are exhausted you will puff and walk tired, this wide array of animations really separates itself from other tactical shooters.

Drones are a new addition that many people did not enjoy, the reason being that unlike Wildlands this isn't just a personnel drone... this is an island covered in all types of drones.
The key to drones is to rarely engage unless you,re taking down a Surveillance drone (These are easy to shoot down), unlike surveillance drones many other drones can be deadly and fast.
Although dodging drones may come off as irritating at first especially as you're learning how to play, in the long run they become an important part of stealth.
Like an extra layer of each area that you have to strategically work your way around.

Vehicles in Breakpoint are very satisfying to drive, a very noticeable upgrade from Wildlands vehicle Mechanics. Vehicles now react to surfaces with a more genuine approach, different terrains will affect your handling and performance. Want to drive a super car up a mountain like GTA? Think again buddy, even a dirt road will pose as a bumpy ride for a super car.
Bikes do offer an improvement but not as much as 4 wheeled vehicles, helicopters now fly with in increased level realism.

Detailed environment is what really drew me to Wild lands, never had i seen such textured grounds with 3D objects blended in everywhere (rocks, small foliage etc), so when i got Breakpoint i was very relieved to see that Wildlands sequel continues to add to the immersion by adding terrain that reacts you your player. Under your pressure snow will move, your pretense will be left in mud and if you go prone you can roll in your environment to add some camouflage from the skies.

AI the key to all the greatest stealth shooters, of course you want intelligent AI... and why shouldn't you? Well have no worries as Breakpoints AI succeeds where wild lands failed.
Enemies will use tactics to engage and on a higher difficulty they will pose as the biggest threat, They're smart and cunning so be ready.

Story, now what would a story be without a good stage.
Breakpoints story is told on a huge fictional island, an island that is incredibly fun to explore too.
For myself i am 20 hours in and i have enjoyed the story, personally i play games like this for the stealth and exploration but i have not been bored from engaging in missions and furthermore plenty of side missions. Fast travel locations and guns/attachments are also found throughout the Island.

My recommendation is that if you are an avid stealth player then turn immersion on, set it to not guided and just your parameters then go into settings and remove anything that breaks the immersion. You will have one of the best Strategical shooter experiences, that you will be sure to remember.
As for the casual fans there are many options to adjust so that you can survive and increasingly get better without losing the enjoyment of the game, set it to immersion then adjust your difficulty.

Lucky for me i bought this game in March 2020 so I have got to enjoy the best version of this game, I hope you all give this game a go as its very underrated.

The content is overwhelming which is good. You have Main Mission, Side Missions, Faction Missions, Blueprint Missions, Investigations...and the list goes on. One of the best parts of this game is that it feels dynamically generated. The environment is full of life. The NPC's talk way to much but that is also a good thing. It feels alive. Taking down a camp or an area is never the same. The enemy is unpredictable but sometimes they can be a little short on being tactical like walking in straight lines behind each other. But having said that, they can engulf you pretty quick doing that as well. The Wolves jump out of nowhere which is crazy but not enough to give it a bad rating. This game just released and I feel it is getting smash because people are upset about microtransactions or the so call pay to win. It's not like that at all. It is actually better than Wildlands in every aspect. Even the microtransactions which were also present in Wildlands. Getting away from that the survival aspect is very light and you really don't notice it having an impact on your ghost at times but when it does strike you know. Overall I am enjoying my time. If you like games like Assassins Creed you will enjoy this title. Don't listen to the hate. These same people trash talked Wildlands and now think their opinion matters. Make your own decisions. It is a great game with excelent graphics and gameplay. There is an improvement since Wildlands, the shooting is more realistic and the bullets have a higher speed. Also the interaction of the player with the terrain in activities such as climbing is great. I like the various landscapes and the story of the game.

I was a fan of Ghost Recon: Wildlands and preordered Breakpoint with the year one pass without doing any digging. I knew the first one had found limited success but it really jived for me and my friends and I figured this sequel would be more of the same formula. It was one of those titles I was just looking forward to having basic fun with, nothing I felt hyped for or anything.

When one of my friends and I started it up it was a few weeks after the title had been released and neither of us had checked any reviews so we were in for a fresh experience. The intro and beginning missions were actually just better than what I had expected. Again, remembering the previous titles faults I had my general expectations pretty settled with a mediocre story and very good gun play and for the first 10 minutes that was, again, better than expected. However, after those first 10 minutes the game introduced the looting mechanics which seemed ripped strait from the Division 2. It's a mechanic where basically every weapon in the game has a level rating system that can only damage certain enemy types according to their level rating. While to me that mechanic was necessary to the Division 2 it felt completely out of place here. The Division 2 is a looter shooter multiplayer exclusive that while, not perfect, made sense to have a weapon leveling mechanic in order to measure character experience and provides rewards which the game play model relied on but Ghost Recon?

The revelation was jarring. All I could picture was all the grinding I was going to have to do just to keep up with the game not to mention the breaking of the immersion that I expected of a Ghost Recon game. How would you like to pick up a M4 rifle only to have to pick up a new one with the same condition and same ammo type just to keep up with the leveling experience. This wasn't supposed to be an RPG and even if it was it was executed very poorly. And with that I dropped the game vowing only to pick it back up again on the condition they fix it. I wasn't mad or let down or anything, it was just the realization this game which had potential to be fun was simply going to waste my time so I uninstalled and forgot about it for a while.

Well obviously this is a positive review so you could probably guess what happened. Turns out some time later that they DID actually fix this issue by basically making it completely optional. The game is now exactly what I was looking forward to in the first place and I'm currently enjoying it's features. It's still buggy and isn't necessarily breaking ground in the innovative department but now it's at least more of what I loved about Wildlands (although Wildlands is still much better). I can finally appreciate the subtle differences and improvements they added from it's previous title that I didn't notice before.

All in all, if you were a fan of Wildlands or are into open world third person shooters then this is one I'd recommend giving another chance to.

Honestly it's a lack of intelligence and youtube-formed opinion, if not lack of imagination on how to play in a sand box. Some complain about MTX, some complain about it being boring. That's because many are playing it in a really boring way. Take Metal Gear Solid 5, make it Coop in an open world with vehicles, rocket launchers, a litany of ways you can go about murdering your way to the top, and the emergent risk-reward randomized missions like convoys, hostage rescue, assassinations; the base takeover staple is not the only thing you do in this game, in other words.
I thin the people who are review bombing this game honestly are just not aware of just how much fun dumb stuff there is to the game, if you 'what if I put C4 on this helicopter and...____', it's a lot more fun than hugging one piece of cover and snipe your way through the world. I think a lot of people are doing that (some I know are loving it this way), but for those who assume that's all there is, start treating this game more like Mercenaries or Farcry in terms of using gadets and different methods of play, and you have a great looking, solid gun-play touting open sandbox filled with red barrel explosions and Metal Gear tech to try and survive encounters with. It's great, like wildlands was, even if the obtuse gearscore, and misunderstood MTX shop that 1:1 replicates the Wildlands/Division 2 model, some how is destracting enough for people to review bomb this arcadey military action world game before they actually play enough to understand how to create the fun scenarios that you can only find in the most recent Ghost Recon games. It's not always tactical stealth, sometimes it's rocket launchers from a helicopter seat. It's up to you on that, and to say this game sucks as far as a current 2.2 is just being stupid. Give the game more credit than your limited creativity while playing it shows in 99.9 of these 0 score reviews that...just aren't reviews.

The game can be a mess, but a hot mess, full of ridiculous. For people playing it by the numbers, you're missing half the fun. Give it the action-movie try before you decide to focus so hard on how much optional, and often in-game-currency-buyable MTX stuff there is. That's missing the whole game for a stance on MTX that is identical to several other games out now, which in absolutely no way affect the gameplay or the quality of the game itself. Which happens to be quite good. Not perfect, but fun, as crazy as you can come up with. Fun, they call that, which in a sandbox game, like GTA, is left up to you to 'what if I ___', and see how it goes. This game, just like wildlands, excells at this, and I'm happy to leave the negative nitpicking crowd in the mud while I place mines around a base, leave, pour a drink, and wait for the fireworks show.

While we wait for the hopeful announcement of a new Splinter Cell game in the future, Tom Clancy’s fans will be happy to know that Breakpoint is actually fun, now. The new Ghost Mode solved many of the issues that plagued the original version, and while it isn’t fully healed from its painful stint as a non-Ghost Recon game, the latest entry in the franchise is trying its best to course-correct. If you are one of the many people who were put off by it at launch, I would recommend you try and give it a try now – just like the eponymous Group for Specialised Tactics, Ubisoft might yet turn this near-miss of the series’ breakpoint into a franchise victory.
