Please don't make the same mistake I did, I played the beta and thought boy! there are some mistakes but it's a beta so probably they are gonna improve a lot...But nope, it' s the same. Same horrible AI, same boring missions over and over and bugs (a lot). I am so regretful, I bought the cheapest version but still, I fell like they rip me off... F U ubisoft.. F U

Yes, these cartoon people exist because cartoons and cartoon people exist, this is indisputable fact. Everything I said in response to this retard is indisputable fact. Anyways, no Metacritic, you don't know for sure that Ghost Recon: Breakpoint was the #10 Most Discussed PC Game of 2019. Even if it was it doesn't deserve a reward for it considering how incredibly horrible it is, that is indisputable fact.

This game is just a lazy money grab that parasites on beloved franchise: buggy, immersion-breaking mess with mediocre story and copy-paste landmarks. AI is dumb and bugged as hell - you dont need any skill at all even on Extreme difficulty. You dont even need any weapons except for single sidearms until you hit a grind wall in a form of extremely bullet-spongy drones that you must destroy from time to time to progress in story.

Monetization should be mentioned separately - it is one of the worst pay-2-win even by the standard of free-2-play mobile game: you can literally by everything from start with enough real money including weapons, mods, vehicles, currency etc. This is a ridiculous example of play-2-not-play. No wonder devs did not care about filling open world with any meaningful activities - you are not meant to traverse whole world but instead meant to pay more money to skip intentionally boring lazily copy-pasted grind locations.

Summary - you will lose nothing if you just skip this one, unless you are some kind of casual whale who dont mind spending a low of cash on a buggy mess just to complete it asap and move on to something more interesting and polished. This game may be worth checking again in 6-12 months when most bugs will be finally fixed and price will drop to 15-20 USD, but is no not really worth a cent more than that

I'm not sure of whether or not they're truly looking for an authentic and realistic experience, especially given the added RPG elements and gear score, though that's another thing I don't mind too much honestly given that every gun is pretty much a 1 shot kill to the head, but weirdly it takes multiple shots if hitting center mass or shots to the thorax even with 5.56 and above caliber weapons.

I really do enjoy realism, but, this game misses the mark entirely in a ton of aspects. The AI are terribly unaware even in the hardest difficulty, the "special operations soldier" you play as wears most of his gear like he's never actually worn any of it in a combat scenario (mags in pouches are facing the wrong direction, plate carriers are worn in a fashion that barely cover vitals, my M4A1 uses STANAG mags but I carry PMAGS, etc..) I could go on about that but I feel as though most people don't care about those things, or they're just unaware of it.

I am enjoying most of the story but when I got to the part where I had to kill Walker I was extremely upset with how awfully set up the fight was. Abysmal even. The devs have completely raped Tom Clancy of anything he stood for. Not going to spoil how awful it was. But, **** realism.

Anyways to keep my review more concise; the map is beautiful, the recycled features are a little better than Wildlands imo, if you don't want to give them more money don't buy anything, the 3rd person shooter bug kinda sucks balls, I hate this Division/GR baby they made, they should've remained separate games,

I will admit that these baguettes did a 10/10 job at completely killing any and all reputation that the new Ghost Recon titles will ever have. You AAA developers and CEOs need to figure it the **** out or you're going to be running out of money in the near future.

Ghost Recon: Breakpoint I think is a downgrade from Ghost Recon: Wildlands if you can view it that way.

Why is it a downgrade? For one, the "central hub" it has a lot of vibes from Destiny 2 where everyone can meet in this cave to sync up or connect with friends or randoms, buy and sell loot/gear, upgrade gear, get quests and missions and so much more. The loot is now colorized. Ubisoft

For one, the "central hub" it has a lot of vibes from Destiny 2 where everyone can meet in this cave to sync up or connect with friends or randoms, buy and sell loot/gear, upgrade gear, get quests and missions and so much more. The loot is now colorized. Ubisoft needed a way for you to show off your rare and legendary gear so they added colorized tiered items like what you find in The Division 2. Ubisoft literally mixed three games into one game somehow and it's ugly. In Wildlands you had the ability to control your AI partners to have them shoot in specific spots or sync shots, a core mechanic in Ghost Recon games. In this game, Unisoft removed AI partners, so that means they forced online co-op, if you don't like it too bad. Breakpoint turned into a microtransactions heaven, they had the decency to even put them in the Beta to "test the water." Wow

Performance wise, it ran horrible on my Intel Core i5-6600 and 1070, but now with my 3900X, it runs smooth like cutting butter. Breakpoint just like Wildlands or Battlefield, it's very CPU heavy.

At the moment, it's not worth $60 nor playing or downloading the Epic Games client for one game and it's not worth it trusting uPlay/Ubisoft with your payment method. You aren't missing out much if you don't play Breakpoint, go buy Wildlands on Steam when it goes on sale for $12 (which is regularly does). If you don't like Wildlands, buy The Division 2 on Steam. Thankfully I didn't spend the $60 on this game, my job did.

P.S. - Single-player, you need to connect to Ubisoft Servers in order to play the campaign. Nice

"How deep can a massive publisher / developer sink?"

I think this is what must've gone on through the heads of all employee's of Ubisoft, but shivering from fear of losing their jobs, they decided to not say a single word to management, or management simply choose to ignore feedback and criticism. I think this is what must've gone on through the heads of all employee's of Ubisoft, but shivering from fear of losing their jobs, they decided to not say a single word to management, or management simply choose to ignore feedback and criticism.

Instead - Ubisoft brought the world the following:
    - A good looking game.
    - A game that's fun to play, with your friends, especially when you are drunk and you don't care about using tactics nor effort.

But sadly, I think with those two points mentioned - that's all the positive I can say about this game, because wow! How did they manage to get this through quality-assurance / quality control, the game is:
    - Buggy
    - Tons of micro-transactions, all optional, it's not as if you have to buy it, but ... come on guys most of these add nothing new to the game compared to what you already paid for (you can literally pay money to unlock a weapon, that you can already get for free in game).
    - Boring & repetitive, as A.I. will simply spawn in the same position over and over again during defend objectives.
    - Cheaply "balanced" - as in, you have something called: "gear score" / levels of your equipment, if your score is too low - due to outdated gear - you'll do less damage a system similar to TC: The Division, and I wasn't too happy about that game either.

On top of that, you can clearly notice where A.I. spawns, as you might've just checked a certain corner / bush - and then a couple seconds later: Bam - an enemy in a previously cleared sector, as someone who likes to play a bit tactical and challenging (as was possible in TC: Wildlands !) - this completely ruined my gameplay.

And no - I didn't mind them not putting this game on Steam, but I do hate myself for not being able to refund this anymore as it was hardly worth the effort.

If you are reading this -> please, spend your money elsewhere or wait until they apologize and fix this garbage.

Mind you it’s easy to cheat yourself, make a noise in a building doorway and everybody rushes to you for easy kills. The faces of the characters are as bland as the plot. There are vehicles every hundred yards or so in case you get tired and ofc the whole game is online only even when your playing single player. There is one achievement though that Ubisoft are now up there with EA in pure avarice and disdain for the gamer.

I was so excited for the next Watch Dogs, now I’m already raising a glass to its memory given what Ubisoft are charging us for here/

Ubisoft have promised to continue to support the game through live service updates but this isn't a business practice I am fond of. People expect to receive a fully finished product when they part with their money not some early access/kick starter tosh.

Out of principle, do not buy this game. We need to vote with our wallets to tell companies like Ubisoft (who used to make actual games) their business model is one which is as appealing as a turd flavored sandwich.

While we wait for the hopeful announcement of a new Splinter Cell game in the future, Tom Clancy’s fans will be happy to know that Breakpoint is actually fun, now. The new Ghost Mode solved many of the issues that plagued the original version, and while it isn’t fully healed from its painful stint as a non-Ghost Recon game, the latest entry in the franchise is trying its best to course-correct. If you are one of the many people who were put off by it at launch, I would recommend you try and give it a try now – just like the eponymous Group for Specialised Tactics, Ubisoft might yet turn this near-miss of the series’ breakpoint into a franchise victory.
