This game has changed a lot.

I don't understand the initial review bombing. The map is large, with many missions and additional content. It's perfect for a cooperative game with 3 more friends (4 in total) . We had more than 300 hundreds hours of fun !

One of the most boring games I’ve ever played 0 incentive to get new stuff bc the story is crap anyways and a bunch of other stuff that is locked behind a paywall not to mention the gear levels. huge downgrade from wildlands

Believe me when I say it is the worst game I have ever played. I can't save anything.
If you find it ultra discounted at $1 I suggest you take that dollar and give it to the first person you meet on the street, it is better spent. Seriously did anyone at Ubisoft looking at the UI and menus say "good job, let's release this crap"?

This game is not GTA, it does feel like a mix of lot games, Metal Gear V when you unlock prisoners, sabotage the energy and the scenario itself, Assassin Creed when you hide in the grass, Just Cause when you explode things, Splinter Cell when you shoot the lights, little about the old Ghost recon.

The Graphics are amazing and full of detail, just too much, adn it's sharp, it has an option on PC, FX sharpening, the dust, sun, light feels all amazing in Ultra graphics.

The cons are the team incongruities with the AI enemy passing by them and not shooting them, they teletransport a lot, there's no much controls like a game like Arma 3 where you can do anything with your team,

The major problem of this game is the lack of challenge, idk because I started to play recently but even playing on Extreme it feels boring or too easy, it lacks more enemies and story line.

YES there is a story but it's too random too much of aleatory missions that doesn't fit to which other.

Now the CONCEPT is brilliant! Ghost recon there's plenty of potential. But a game lacking story-LINE, there is too much randomness,

    It's not a bad game it's a 7 above the average.

They want you to go to different chest to get weapons with high numbers and if you remove it then you're just left with nothing and it's just not fun not liking wildlands where could go to specific place and get an anti-tank rifle and have fun.

The game has some good points in story is not really dead good, but has some interesting moments but in the last second you find out that if you want to defeat the bad people then you have to pay for DLC and it was so annoying and just Sour a whole experience

The "Project Titan" raid was released about a month after launch. I do not personally have experience with raids because I have no friends to co-op with.

Starting early in 2020, they released the Terminator DLC and later Deep State, and Red Patriot. In 2021, Amber Sky was released and features as a reward, one of my favorite assault rifles, the 4-AC. This thing is incredible with its accuracy, range, capacity, and sound. Disregard the negative description of "high recoil" because with ASR skills mastered, this thing is a laser.

The vehicles handle pretty well in the game although land vehicles are ridiculously unrealistic. A sedan that resembles a Cadillac that can climb the most rocky mountain cliffs isn't very sensible, but still fun. The helicopters are a joy to fly and very easy, the planes, not so much, but they are rarely necessary to pilot.

Co-op in the game is very fun. I only wish I knew more people that played so I could run with a 4-player team. As of this review, the game has a 2.9 User Score which is far off the mark for the game today. With all the other trash games out lately, players are returning to Breakpoint and even Wildlands to get their open world shooter fix. Don't dismiss these titles by the user scores here. Pick them up when they are on sale for around $9. You won't regret it.

All enemies can see you through the very thick fog in volcano zone or very dark at night but you can’t see sh**. This game can only play in stealth play style if you have been seen there is no way you can win in gun fight because of enemies will always known where you are.

I'll be honest I didn't like the gear level and RPG system they implemented in the game because it was so out of place. But now with the "Immersive Mode", it's just what I expected. Gameplay wise you can sometime feel like it is repetitive (Approach, Evaluate, kill/infiltrate, Vanish) but the constant surveillance and various environments give you the necessary tools to create your own scenario. Story wise, it's good, not oscar winning good but good nonetheless. Character customization is pretty good, you can create your own soldier from the ground up if you have the patience to gather the loot from around Auroa, that is. For fights, in immersive mode, the guns feel amazing, may it be assault rifles or Sniper rifles , everyone can find their satisfaction since enemies aren't bullet sponges. One thing tho, drones are super annoying to get, but once you find the right spot to shoot at, you can't be stopped when you have a good sniper rifle. One thing tho, there are no mildots for ranging target, so it becomes a real pain in the ass sometimes to compensate the bullet drop. In conclusion I think that Ghost Recon Breakpoint is a good game if played in immersive. Expand

At the same time, they give you the options to customize almost all aspects of gamaplay to suit you. It's by no means perfect, but if you're starved for tactical action, this might just scratch the itch. The gameplay is actually pretty solid and the entire mission system has been redesigned to flow better. Gunplay is spot on and I like the stealth and movement systems. They feel right. If you can pick this up for 12 bucks, I say why not, you might really be surprised. Also, I should add I'm no playing any MP in this game, just solo, and the AI is ok but you can really crank up the difficulty too if you want. Let's just say I'm surprised and happy because I loved the Ghost Recon series since inception and this one goes back a little to the roots of the franchise. Solid now, 4 years after release. Expand

If you liked Wildlands at all, Breakpoint is an evolution and upgrade at this stage as we approach 2023. Get it on sale!

It's sad that Breakpoint has not received the attention that No Man's Sky did for its successful re-engineering of a bad launch. This game stomps any EA/Activision's efforts at fixing their titles. You can tell the Breakpoint devs love their artistic vision but got steered in the wrong direction by corporate interests and marketers. Sad to see. Hopefully they learned their lesson.

To be absolutely clear, Breakpoint as it released years ago deserved the scathing reviews it got. It was terrible, horribly implemented, buggy... It was a mess.

That being said, props need to be given to the team behind this game, because they have stuck with it and have made it one of my most played games over this past year since I picked it up along with the season pass. First and foremost, TURN OFF THE LEVELED LOOT SYSTEM. It adds nothing to the game. If you see any other review of this game from any point past early 2021 complaining about the leveled loot, disregard it completely because the author isn't smart enough to tie their shoes let alone write a game review.

Breakpoint is now one of the most enjoyable TPS games I've played since Wildlands, and although it's not perfect (the always online requirement on its own will ensure it never could be even close to top marks), it's good enough that I've put in over 115 hours.

I wish the AI was just a little bit smarter, but if you crank up the difficulty and turn off assists and make the HUD minimal, it can get extremely immersive. I'd almost call it one of the best tactical roleplaying games (if that makes sense to say) you can get on console.

The world designers at Ubisoft in my opinion never get enough credit: the island of Aurora is very well designed in my opinion, not just in how good the graphics are but in how logical the layout is and what facilities there are. It's like they hired an actual city planner to help them with developing a realistic layout, and what types of support facilities would be needed. Even with no civilians on the roads, the areas where they would be under the martial law the setting is under are brimming with life.

I have to give the developers props for the amount of customization you can do to your experience: you can change many aspects of the game, from how many or few helicopter patrols there are, how many drones you deal with, , how much or how little you want to interact with the survival mechanics , how many guns you can carry, if you have AI teammates or not, every single piece of the HUD can be toggled on or off and have its size changed... I've barely ever seen a game so customizable, experience wise. It's honestly remarkable.

With it being a live service game, they did several live events at certain points. One of the other toggles they added was the ability to set the "world state" to that live event. This is a really great way to make sure that no player misses out on any content that they released over the years, because they were substantial, changing the world map in several ways, from adding poison gas clouds across the island with a story to investigate, to the resistance movement finally going to all out war against the PMC, to even a crossover with the Terminator franchise that has Terminator robots invade.

The story is...Okay at best, but good enough for me to want to kill the bad guys, and honestly what more do you want from a Ghost Recon game? If you're buying the base game and coming from Wildlands, it's important to note that you will not be chasing down and destabilizing different provinces anymore. The base game only has a few missions where the goal is to take out a target, which honestly was disappointing as those were my favorite missions in the last game. However, upon starting the third chapter of the game every one of the objectives is to assassinate a target, which was implemented after player feedback to introduce more Wildlands-esque objectives.

That brings me to something else I need to mention: jumping right in, it can be very confusing to understand what's going on. Especially if you have the Season pass, all DLC expansions are displayed on the main map with barely any explanation as to what to play and in what order if you want to experience all content in chronological story order.

For clarity, play Chapter 1 missions first, then Chapter 2, then Chapter 3. It sounds simple enough, but when everything in thrown on the map at the same time, believe me, it gets a bit confusing, especially when you tack on the optional side missions.

Chapter 2 adds in several missions with Sam Fisher from Splinter Cell, which is pretty entertaining if you ignore the fact that Ubisoft still hasnt given us a damn Splinter Cell game in over a decade. You can turn on the world events I mentioned earlier at any time separately, and I did so at times in the story that I felt made sense (i.e. turning on the Resistance! world parameter after I did the rebellion quest chain up to a point where it would make sense they go to war).

All in all, Breakpoint is better than it's ever been. If you enjoyed Wildlands, and you can get all the content on sale like I did, there is no doubt in my mind you'll find many hours of enjoyment.

As always the visuals and sound are bang on. Really, the attention to detail is spectacular! From the way your character walks on patrol to the amount of dirt that builds up on their uniform, very impressive. Absolutely stunning world filled to the brim with an array of different bi-oms that create a great atmosphere for the setting. And that setting is a fictional island that sets the stage for the 'futuristic' story. It is a hell of a lot more cinematic than it's predecessor and features some great talent to boot! Even though I found the sci-fi setting less grounded than Bolivia, it still hits all the right notes. But I'm hardly scratching the surface because there has been a tone of content added since this game inception. All of which twist and weave through different story lines that aim toward the liberation of the island as a whole. Some of which feature cameos from Rainbow Six, Sam Fisher and even Terminators! As much content as there is, the stirring negative point is the repetitive nature of all the added DLC that has been thrown together. Each mission seemed to be sewn with the same scenario's again and again, very rarely deviating from the proven formula. But when the game-play itself is pretty solid, that's not completely a bad thing.

Like Wildlands, I found the strength in the game-play. Originally, the game's progression was centred around weapon upgrades and reduced to a major grind. On release, the overall experience was heavily criticised for sitting behind a substantial 'pay-wall'. But now, with the option to turn the settings (controls, progression, combat etc) to play like Wildlands, the whole experience is pretty stream-lined. Even to the point of re-adding team mates back to the mix! As repetitive as it was, I enjoyed myself as much as I did in the previous title. It would be very hard for me to put my hand on my heart and say “I didn't have fun”. The gun-play is solid and you have complete freedom to tackle each mission as you choose. On top of all that, this game is very much aimed toward multiplayer and switching between single player is a breeze.

I do miss the origins of Ghost Recon that was focused on tactical game-play. It is a whole different beast all together now and must be taken for what it is. It suffers from all the 'Ubi-soft-isims' that tire most people, but there is no shortage of casual fun to be had. If it is your bag, well worth the price, considering the fixes that have been made since launch.

Graphics is also even worse than Wildlands. In WL you have nice weather, nice lighting, nice jungle. In Breakpoint all is clean.

But the worst thing is the AI: I dont understand why it has to be so easy. I mean WL has really good AI, Division 2 has really good AI....why the hell is Breakpoint now such a boom boom Casualkiddy BS? Its even easier than far cry. And Far cry is for babies. Why you dont respect you community? Ghost recon was a hard tactical coop shooter. Not a COD or Far Cry. You made the mistake with Future Soldier, then you bring the nice WL, and no this Crap? The AI is absolute 2010 Genre Standard. You stand right before them, on hardest difficulty, and they need about 4 to 5 seconds to spot you. And then they miss the first 10 shots. In WL the UZI Dual Wielders screwed you in milliseconds. The only challenging enemies here are the snipers, and the drones. And the drones are bullet sponges which you can exploit easily. Why Ubisoft. Why? With Teammates its get even easier. The Enemies are absolutely random in bases, not like in WL where you have to make a plan.

The only thing which is developed to the end is the Itemshop. Nice try. And i shall buy NFTs....yeah for sure. In a dead crapgame i buy environment killing Masks with a serial number. I think the CEO of Cryptowhatever at ubisoft dont understand that hes fired, because gamers dont want any NFT BS.

I paid 10 Bucks for this. I think for 1 Buck its ok if every other game you own dont start. But even in the Ubilauncher you find 4 better shooter.

Ubisoft has his problems for its reason (and will be selled to a bigger company soon). They dont understand their own comm, their own games (like we see with the "NeW Ghost Recon" a MMO Battle Royale PVP Shooter. I mean everytime GR Fans say "We want hard, tactical COOP without Future BS." Since Ghost Recon 1. Ubisoft does a Battle Royale, in a time noone cares for BR anymore". Same with RS and Division. )

Dont buy. Pls. Dont Buy this BS, even in the "Super Duper Mega Ubisoft Sales" which are every 2 Weeks or so, because the company is at the end of the line.

The game is now very good since 18 months and it offers an open world, beautiful, with a multitude of approaches (infiltration? Parachute jump from helicopter? approach by boat? Capture an armored jeep with a Gatling gun for a frontal assault?), the possibility to customize your equipment, your outfit. The scenario is quite good and above all there are many missions that leave a lasting memory (ah! the infiltration of the fortress of Flycatcher!)

I can only recommend this game to a group of 4 friends who want a game with $15, full of possibilities, missions, and with such a choice of weapons/holdings/equipment that there is no need for micro-transactions (those are much less present than many games: Fifa & co). A big yes for this great game that deserves much better than 58 !

Been playing this game in coop mode about a year ago. It was almost unplayable because of all the graphics and UI bugs. I was told that the game was greatly improved and would be really nice now - so I gave it another try and was mostly disappointed. There were fewer bugs, but still noticeable errors like glitching through walls or being stuck in the air out of nowhere.

The gameplay itself is mediocre, very easy on normal mode and not very challenging. The story is ok, but I found it hard to get involved, it was just not gripping for me.

Regarding the UI: I've seen better ones, even from Ubisoft. In Breakpoint, pinning the active tasks is quite unintuitive and the menu itself is overly large and a bit complicated. The map where you can look for new tasks is huge and just not easy to overlook. Changing the weapons and using the weapon wheel is not running super smooth, but that's manageable. Some buttons are set weirdly, but for most of the game mechanics, you can change it, at least. But I did not find out how to set the marker feature properly - when trying to unpin a location marker, everyone in your squad gets a notification sound.

Another thing that's a huge pain for me are the large buildings with complicated paths through them. Doors are randomly locked and it's not much fun making your way in and out of a building. They also look quite similar to each other, with similar furniture and sliding doors, what makes the experience even more dull. Travelling to other waypoints is also not very exciting. Most of the time you hop in a car or helicopter and then it takes a while.

What I do like about the game are the graphics and nature environments. Plants and rain look very natural and pretty. I also like little details like footsteps in the snow or the ability to cover the character in dirt when you're laying down to hide. But that's about it - all in all, the game was not fun for me playing, because I was mostly bored. Being constantly confronted with bugs and problems I now got fed up for the second time. Two tries to play it through should be enough.

Ghost Recon Breakpoint came out in 2019 with mediocre reviews and spoiled what we loved about Wildlands. But in 2021 it is a very solid, polished, and fun game. The story is well told and well acted and the gameplay is awesome with a huge map and good shooting mechanics. It is a shame it did not come out in this polished state it is in now as it might have done so much better.

Ubisoft yet again destroyes a game with good ideas by trying to pander the game to everyone. Listen, i bet it has been said a million times, but a good game that does a specific, targeted thing very good, is almost everytime better than a game which does everyting mediocre or in this case bad. The Open World looks good but is empty and shallow. Enemy have next to no AI. The Story has an interesting cocept but fails miserably at execution. Again, you could cut out like 70% of the map and make them concentrated, well made Levels. You are supposed to be "like a paratrooper behind enemy lines" right? You never feel like that, the only thing that a little bit resemble that, are these surveillance drones that spot you from high in the sky. Again, what were the thoughts behind that? You are alone (or in a team of 4) behind enemy lines, every step, every attack must be wisely chosen, keeping your ressources in mind. Are the risks worth it? But no you have a huge safezone in the mountain with free chopper right from the start with unlimited ressources.

Atleast the keep updating the game, even though these updates really show that the developers (or who was responsible) didnt think things through. We know have a realism mode, were you can adjust the games difficulty , the hud and turn off weapon levels and some world stuff (like the drones). These are in generel great, especially the difficulty options so i can make the game like a Ghost Recon back in the day, where every shot is deadly and stealth is mandatory. Though as mentioned before this clashes hard with the game design at its core. So, for example, before i actually played the main story, i spend like 2 hours adjusting the difficulty options just right, and then i got into a story mission where you have to blow up some bomb drones with a chopper. Now you can of course land for all 5 objectives, each in different bases, kilometers appart, but the way the developers apparently wanted you to play the mission, was to take the npc with you in an attack chopper, and bomb them on the way. Now, you have made a "tactical" "realistic" "stealth" shooter, and decide to put in vehicles, choppers and planes, even though there is fast travel. How can you then f**ck up the helicopter controls so badly in your sequel? Helicopters are not only barebones, with no flares and you can only shoot ones and then wait for them to reload. Problem is, that they as well have put a WASD control fused together with a mouse fixed "look-to-steer" control, which results in aiming with the mouse being absolut horrible and trying to aim carefully and precisly with a helicopter is near impossible.

And the end of the day, i can see the thoughts behind everything, but again i guess Ubisofts higher ups just dont care and scream "Ship it!", or the project leads are so blind to everything that they sincerely thought this would turn out good. To the people working in any Ubi dev team, im sincerely sorry. It must be hard, having to crunch for something you know will probably turn out mediocre at best, even though you put your heart into. Im... just sorry.

With the latest updates the graphics are nice, 60fps feel great on the PS5. Loading times are not awesome but good. It is a bit sad that Ubisoft only did 1080p60 for the PS5. There surely must ve been more possible e.g. 1440p60 DRS. My biggest complaints with this game is the huge map. Even with fast traveling and helicopters you travel so much and also it destroys the great immersion the game offers. If the map would ve been smaller I think it would ve been very beneficial gameplay wise. Still there is much to do, the game runs flawless most of the time. I had some stuck-issues and some quests being stuck. Nothing too often or too bad, but it happened. The story itself is OKAY. Nothing innovative, nothing too deep but for a military strategical shooter it is fine.

The game can be bought as full edition for 15 to 20 bucks on a regular cycle. For this price the game is absolutely recommendable especially on new console generations. The game runs great, weapons are cool, gameplay is repetitive but fun. If you have at least a good buddy to play with the experience is VERY fun. For solo it is still valid but not as fun I feel. There are PVP options but it was not my turf so I skipped those options. I dropped around 100hrs for main missions, a lot of side stuff, special campaigns like Terminator etc.

The game is made with a similar flavor as Ghost Recon: Wildlands, but made with variations and changes that are either a hit or miss. I find that the overall game design, gameplay loop and open world much better in the predecessor. A huge emphasis on the open world, because Breakpoint is afflicted with what I think is a boring and repetitive level design that made traversing and exploring easily one of the most exhausting and dull I've felt among the plethora of open world games I've played.

I cannot say much about this game on launch, as I have heard the initial looter shooter design and predatory microtransaction was abhorrent, but the way I experienced it on a game configuration similar to Wildlands, along with free DLCs on the standard edition -- I'd say this game is okay in this regard.

Before the Ghost Experience updates it was near unplayable. We got super hyped with my buddy because we played Wildands back to back twice together, we were really looking forward for Breakpoint. After hours of trying to play the game, we gave up. Terrible UI, terrible Loadout menu, gearscore etc. Then the Ghost experience update came and we gave it another shot. Overall, we had fun. The story is engaging, but in the end fails to deliver any satisfaction. Most of the boss kills happened as random headshots or grenade throws without even noticing oh - that character was special, that includes the title villain. And after finishing the Episode one, when it finally started to get interesting - BOOM! Pay another 40 bucks if you want more story missions, because the 60 bucks we sucked from you at the beggining were not enough. Suck it Ubisoft, this is not how you make games. Expand

For 2021, this game's ready to have a glance over what it can offer, especially if it keeps discounting itself as there's finally AI teammates and it finally has met the level of Wildlands even if it did come AFTER Wildlands. The score will never be perfect or even isn't good at this time only because it has kept it's old driving, old and mediocre story with questionable quality at times and still has those pay-gates... The only difference is that I can avoid it and enjoy as much I can for the small price that I got it for. Expand

Even tho the basic formula remains the same the game environment feels a lot different due to the world. The world in Wildlands feels more alive and more vivid as so does the gameplay with more options and things you can do like call in Rebels for support. On Breakpoint you lose those things and you can tell the difference but at the same time it has something that makes it engaging and fun for a little while. Considering I only paid $10 for this game (Same for Wildlands) I have no regrets with my purchase. Not saying Wildlands is a solid 10, its more like a 7.5 or 8 its a pretty fun game but Breakpoint is more like a 6.5 or 6.8 out of 10. Overall if you completed Wildlands and like me are looking for more of the same because you enjoyed Wildlands Breakpoint gets the job done but with a few set backs compared to the original formula. This game by no means deserve anything below a 5 it just doesn't make sense even a 4 is okay but anything below seems like people exaggerating and making pointless remarks about the game in general.
Ubisoft often has Breakpoint on sale for $10 if you can grab it for that price I would say its worth it.
I give it a solid 6.5 out of 10 no more no less.

At first, the game was plagued with glitches but now with the recent updates and the update coming on November 9th It's worth a buy, It's very immersive with great gunplay and tight controls If you didn't buy it last year you should now, but the campaign is very lake lustre and boring and you have to buy the season pass to episode 2 and 3.

its a bad ghost recon, and a bad looter shooter, they kinda fix it with the new mode but is still disappointing, the events are ok, but the game loop is WAY TO REPETITIVE, i bought it on sale, and don't even recommend doing it, if you're still curious, watch a game play or something, because it doesn't have a story to be worried about

I really liked Wildlands. I waited until the 2.0 release for trying Breakpoint, aaaand .... what a buggy clunky messy crap is that. I even managed to get stuck after 20 meters in the very first minutes right after the crash. More later i get stuck with the motocross. Eeehm no thanks... Wasted 30 bucks.

After GR Wildlands I was convinced that UbiSoft no longer understands what the core game play in Ghost Recon was and why there were so many dedicated fans of the series. I'd considered the series dead (to me) after seeing Narco Roads and decided I'd never buy another GR game again unless there were some clear signs they'd gotten the message and gotten it back on track. I'd considered the series dead (to me) after seeing Narco Roads and decided I'd never buy another GR game again unless there were some clear signs they'd gotten the message and gotten it back on track. Well.. recently they dropped the price to $30 for a short time so I decided to try it. I quickly confirmed they're still very much headed in the wrong direction.

It appears that they've spent a whole heap of time on everything aside from the core game play expected in an actual GR game. Movement and gun play is not so good. The ballistics are perhaps a bit better than Wildlands but still not so good. The AI is really really really terrible eg. firing 10m away from an enemy npc w/ a suppressed 7.62x51 at another npc 200m away. The npc nearby acts as if nothing has happened. Then there are the drones and the vehicles. Equally as bad as the enemy AI. Let's not talk about the UI/UX or the missions.

Overall I found the experience frustrating and it was difficult to get any enjoyment out of it. They very much need to go back to the drawing board with this series. Toss out all of this fluff that has somehow found it's way into GR that adds nothing to the core GR experience but actually detracts heavily from it.

It's all about the op. The old style briefings, the intel and analysis. Planning the equipment and reviewing the available information. It adds that bit of immersion and sets the game play up with a purpose. I've gotten probably 4+ hours into GRBP and I'm not sure if I've even finished a campaign mission.

It seems like Ubisoft want all their games to be similar - there are Farcry and The Division aspects in GR now and I believe designing the game this way will set it up for failure every time. Would probably make a lot more sense to get the core GR game play right and add in features that enhance the core game play once it is solid. Add them in a way that makes sense, is true to the experience and enhances it. I don't understand how it's gotten to the point where I can walk into a camp in a cave and somehow purchase a very expensive helicopter. Why is this even in a GR game? there are so many other things that are not only not true to the GR experience, they break immersion and heavily detract from it.

While we wait for the hopeful announcement of a new Splinter Cell game in the future, Tom Clancy’s fans will be happy to know that Breakpoint is actually fun, now. The new Ghost Mode solved many of the issues that plagued the original version, and while it isn’t fully healed from its painful stint as a non-Ghost Recon game, the latest entry in the franchise is trying its best to course-correct. If you are one of the many people who were put off by it at launch, I would recommend you try and give it a try now – just like the eponymous Group for Specialised Tactics, Ubisoft might yet turn this near-miss of the series’ breakpoint into a franchise victory.
