Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is Gearbox Software's new attempt at looting shooter game. It builds a vast and magnificent fantasy world and tells a light-hearted but not clichéd adventure story. It is a complete upgrade of the "Build" system under the framework of the Borderlands franchise and offers new possibilities for the future of the series with a highly replayable endgame mode.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is an excellent spin-off that adds its own twists to what makes Borderlands great.

Wonderlands mixes over-the-top combat, wonderfully absurd guns, interesting classes, and fun characters to create the best version of this series I've ever played. It's weirdly wholesome, patently absurd, and frequently obnoxious, but the intent feels far purer than what you might expect. When you then add in the excellent voice acting, and the fact that you can play this through with friends and strangers, you get a really entertaining FPS RPG that I'd be happy to recommend to anyone.

I'm fairly certain that my adventure with Tiny Tina's stories won't end as quickly as with Borderlands. It's been 20 hours, and I still want to complete all the side-quests. I'm also sure that I will max out all challenges and get all collectibles. It is a truly magical adventure!

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands presents a fresh take on Borderlands, retaining the core of the series while adding some fun new twists both in its setting and gameplay. Character creation and multi-classing ensure each Fatemaker is unique when shooting, looting, and questing. While it certainly has issues like less weapon variety and a lack of challenging content, this is the best in the series so far.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands takes the proven Borderlands formula and puts it in a crazy fantasy world and it works just as great. The gameplay loop is insanely fun just like you would expect from a Borderlands game.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is the best way to change the Borderlands formula and quite possibly the best Borderlands game to date. A lot of this is due to the change of setting and the unchained feeling tying directly into deeper customization.

Although it uses the Borderlands 3 engine and reprises several characters from earlier games in the franchise, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands does a great job of separating itself from its brethren. With a focus on high fantasy and cheeky humor that constantly pokes fun at RPG traditions, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands also doesn't stray far from them, at least mechanically. Great writing, pitch perfect acting and frenetic action dominate the game, but exploring the nooks and crannies of the colorful overworld and detailed dungeons is equally satisfying. I had a blast in the Wonderlands and can't wait to see what else the irrepressible Tiny Tina has in store for us.

Once you tally up the new and the old, there's really not that much "new" about Tiny Tina's Wonderlands, or at least not new in terms of innovation. Cascading loot and relentless humor check the Borderlands boxes, but instead of coming up with totally new elements, all it had to do was shift things around and finally let us create a character. Future Borderlands experiences may not be set in fantasy settings of this kind, but they should at least look to adopt in some ways the fanciful and varied nature of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands.

If you’re a fan of Borderlands, then playing Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands will be a no-brainer. The main storyline does feel shorter than previous Borderlands games, and this is probably indicated by the fact that players top out at level 40. Gamers will still get in excess of 20 hours gameplay for a single character, but the fact that players have six classes to try out and loads of exploration means that this can be multiplied. The humorous banter between characters keeps the mood light as do the vibrant colours in the wonderfully designed medieval lands. The spellcraft fits in wonderfully well within the setting and accentuates the enjoyment of the gunplay and all the looting that is customary for a Borderlands title. Dungeons and Dragon (Lords) has never been so much fun.

It is abundantly clear that the creative team behind Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands are massive RPG fans who have crafted a joyous blend of Borderlands mayhem with RPG epic-ness. I loved the story, characters, gameplay, and production values of this game. I should also mention that while I primarily played this game single-player, multiplayer co-op is supported because looter-shooters and tabletop RPGs are more fun with friends. First-person shooter games are not my preferred genre, but after playing Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, I would be game to try out a mainline Borderlands game and Tiny Tina’s Assault on Dragon Keep. For making me a new fan of something outside my wheelhouse, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands wholeheartedly earns a spot as one of my favorite games of 2022.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is a very remarkable member of the Borderlands family, in terms of pure fun the best moment of the series since Borderlands 2. Though smaller in scope than the main games, it's still satisfying, and it will speak directly to the hearts of those who love tabletop RPG gaming.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is basically everything that awaits us from the game. Fun, over the top and crazy. What struck us, however, is that it proves to be even a little bit more. Especially where it deviates the path, inserting the overworld with all its facets and adding the double-class on a single character, it almost tries to overtake Borderlands 3. Success and the passage of time will tell us if it was true. What is certain is that the potential and the fun are always there.

Wonderlands injects a dose of RPG and madness into the "looter shooter" formula. The result is a game full of surprises and good ideas, and the most complete and fun Borderlands to date.

You won't stop laughing while playing Tiny Tina's Wonderlands thanks to its fun dialogues and situations. Although the game mechanics stick to what Borderlands had done on its other games, they do not bring something new for the fans of the franchise.

Tiny Tina's Wonderland is not only a DnD parody, it's wonderfully mocked by the many universes and characters that exist. If you love classic Borderlans action and are interested in the world of FRP, it's a wonderland where you'll both laugh a lot and have a lot of fun playing.

Gearbox really listened to fan feedback from its launch of Borderlands 3 and is making sure that Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is launching as feature-complete as possible. If you’re a fan of looter-shooter mayhem, or are looking for a new co-op adventure set in swords and sorcery (and guns) then I would strongly recommend playing Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. In the end, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is a confident and very welcome step forward for the Borderlands series. It embraces its action-RPG roots in ways that feel fresh and familiar, and does so without being a detriment to the core concept of being an experience with a bazillion crazy guns to equip and have fun with. But in keeping a lot of the core of the series, in terms of mechanics and UI, and even the number of gun types (sniper-rifles could have been removed entirely), there’s just enough holding it back in a place where it, well, borders on brilliance.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is the closest any game developer has come to recreating Dungeons & Dragons. There are plenty of games that share similar combat mechanics to D&D. But what “Wonderlands” focuses on — and nails — is the feeling of actually sitting around a table playing D&D: moments of chaos when a dungeon master has mere seconds to improvise a way forward for their players; times when teams throw a good plan out the window, but it all works out in the end; the fiery arguments that might overtake a group of friends just trying to have fun; the feeling of knowing what jokes will land with your dungeon master and which ones won’t.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands offers some new aspects of the series, with more of the classic, almost unbeatable gunplay and wild combat encounters. It is a vibrant, slightly disjointed world ripe for exploration and trouble. Although it misses a few marks, it’s a spinoff series fans will enjoy and high fantasy fans will inevitably laugh or roll their eyes at.

More than a spin-off, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands’ additions to combat, entertaining story and brilliant voice work allow it to not only stand apart from Borderlands but surpass it in every way.

Despite the fantasy setting including a stylish table-top overworld, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is a typical Borderlands game at its core. That's not a bad thing, if you like the mostly similar look and feel, the typical series' humor or the sweeping loot shooter mechanics, where you get much more scrap than cool stuff. In other words: If you like Borderlands, you'll have fun in Wonderlands. If not, this game has little chance to change your attitude.

While still Borderlands at its core, Wonderlands stands on its own as a great entry that’s worth trying.

Fan of Borderlands? Then it should come as no surprise that Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is worth your time. The game brings the familiar gameplay of the franchise, but in a more absurd situation that suits the hilarious character well. The humor is back, the co-op is very cool and the gameplay is as fine as ever. However, the game is rather safe, because despite new elements such as the multi-class system, it is not really groundbreaking and graphically it could have been better. Apart from that, it is a title you will definitely enjoy.

Wonderlands does not reinvent the wheel, or in this case the rocket launcher, but strides forward confidently enough to prove that it doesn't exactly need to. It would be an even better game if its own humor just let up a bit, but even so, the journey through such fantastical realms is also ultimately a success exactly because Gearbox has such a proficient understanding of its distinct genre.

There isn’t much evolution here compared to other Borderlands, but the new additions are welcomed, and they make it deeper, fun and frenetic. It’s also one of the funniest games we’ve ever played.

Gearbox knows by now how to keep the narrative work light, and leave room for you and your friends to create the fun. The game has a real knack for making you feel like the quarterback of the fight – even if that means a team of four quarterbacks in one coop game, each firing off abilities and spells with wanton abandon. It’ll be hard to go back to the rather more straight-faced Borderlands universe after this jamboree of unicorn queens, goblin miner revolts and lute solos.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands remains in the same line as Borderlands and you won't feel too out of place if you have played the previous titles of the license. Especially since old acquaintances are back, but in a medieval environment. The gameplay remains the main asset, as it is fun, dynamic and very satisfying to play thanks to a well balanced mix of spells, firearms and hand-to-hand combat. Not to mention the multi-class system that opens up the field of possibilities and allows for a great deal of freedom in gameplay. The areas are beautiful, varied and well thought out, even if the world map could have been better exploited.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is a product that, despite being more contained than its older brothers, does not rest on its laurels and manages to entertain the player for more than a few hours thanks to the presence of a fun primary quest and many secondary activities that they do not have. nothing to envy to the campaign missions. Between bizarre characters, rivers of loot and the role-playing component that allows an elaborate construction of the perfect build, the latest effort by Gearbox could be able to capture the attention of all those players who love the brand and who with the third chapter have started to feel the need for a breath of fresh air.

In the end, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is a solid spin-off to the main Borderlands series. The core game remains the same as before, but new additions, like the melee system and class combinations, make things feel fresh. The campaign runs at a good length, while the side-quests and post-game dungeon randomizer are enough to keep you going before the need for DLC kicks in. It really is the shooter that you already know with a medieval RPG skin on it. Since the moment-to-moment gameplay is still enjoyable, fans won't mind the offbeat detour.

Published as a separate game, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands has managed to bring a different flavor to the Borderlands series, but it is a game with a lot of untapped potential.

Those of you looking for an impressive looter shooter fantasy should highly consider purchasing Tiny Tina's Wonderlands. Just don't expect a revolutionary experience or maybe an actual Borderlands 4.

That fact is what I really want to see is some substantial leaps forward for this series, as it’s starting to feel pretty dated in a lot of ways, but I also have to understand what Wonderlands is, a game Gearbox made from home during the pandemic that’s meant to be a stopgap before Borderlands 4. And I do think it succeeds at that job well enough to please most fans.

A few good ideas and the excellent acting of Ashly Burch and Andy Samberg are not enough, however, to make this game unmissable, on the contrary they end up highlighting how the formula begins to need a much more decisive will to innovate than that.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands plays it safe, never leaning enough into its fantasy elements or bringing any significant changes to the Borderlands formula, but offering more of the fun looting and shooting the main series is known for. It boasts better writing and humor than Borderlands 3 while throwing in interesting spells and class powers that spice up its otherwise familiar combat system. Repetitive dungeons and a tedious endgame drag it down a bit, but if you’re looking to shoot dragons instead of bandits and sift through an endless stream of guns and items in search of the one that works slightly better with your build, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands has got you covered.

Following the disaster that was Borderlands 3's writing, there was some serious pressure on Gearbox to deliver this time around. Tiny Tina's Wonderlands isn't a spectacular game and doesn't live up to Borderlands 2, but I doubt most people will care about that. The simple fact is that we got a Borderlands game that is fun with a story that isn't painful to experience. That's a win in my book.

On paper, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands seems like it would be a great escape from the usual looter shooter game fans have come to know over the years. As a Borderlands game, it delivers one of the best RPG experiences to date with plenty of customization options and loot to discover. As a Borderlands 3 spin-off inspired by a Borderlands 2 DLC, Tiny Tina's Wonderlands can't revolutionize anything. This is its main default, especially since the Borderlands saga is already particularly prolific. But if you are not yet bored by this formula and these slightly dated visuals, then you are guaranteed to have a great time.

I’m going to be honest here and say that Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands doesn’t make the best impression. Despite a fantasy-themed facelift and a bigger emphasis on character freedom, the issues that plagued previous entries in the series are still too numerous for it to feel like a substantial change. However, I’m still finding things to enjoy in it which, even as a Borderlands skeptic, at least makes it worth the price of admission for anyone playing this with friends.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands’ main feature is its wacky humor – you’ll either love it or find it cringy and annoying. I enjoyed the game mainly because I liked the way it makes fun of RPG clichés, but when I was not laughing, the excitement was gone instantly. It’s still a solid shooter but I’m already tired of the Borderlands gameplay formula and this spin-off does too little to shake things up, even though its setting offered a huge potential to do so.

I love the color. I love the creativity. I love the intensity and the barely controlled mayhem. But over it all, there’s no denying that Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is more or less a glittery skin thrown over Borderlands 3. As a DLC maybe (and when I told some of my friends that I was reviewing Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands, several of them asked, oh, is that the new Borderlands DLC?) something limited to the 10-15 hour or less realm (and the $20 or less price tag), this might work. But as a new thing, that really isn’t anything different from the old thing, Gearbox really needs to find something to freshen up this formula, and I don’t mean top-flight voice talent.

It’s a game that’s enjoyable in small chunks but not really for a great length of time. And after a while, I felt that I had seen as much of Wonderlands as I needed to. I think at some point even the most die-hard Borderlands fans will simply lift their hands from their keyboard/controller and say, “You know what? That’s enough Tina for the foreseeable future.”

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is a full-priced offering that seems like it would have been better suited as DLC, like its predecessor. Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is a nice spinoff from the main Borderlands Series. While the class system is pretty enjoyable, most of the game is still based off classic Borderlands Title, and as such, there isn't much new stuff to feat on. The overall game is still pretty decent with lots to do, and that lovely sense of humor.

The variety of each of Wonderlands‘ six classes, combined with a deficit in mission variety, means you’ll have a much better experience with friends. While its style of humour and emphasis on mountains and mountains of loot doesn't connect with me, I can see why it would appeal to those who enjoy Borderlands' comedic stylings, charm and systems.

Tiny Tina's Wonderlands is a Borderlands game. It's not a spin-off, it's not inspired by, and it's not a mix of Borderlands and D&D - it's just Borderlands. It's a waste of a great concept, and comes with the typical Borderlands drawbacks of potentially grating humour, way too many guns, way too small storage space, and a lot of always-on characters who aren't given enough room to breathe. It's fun, but it's nothing special. The worst part is it could have been.

Tiny Tina Wonderland brings the good humor of the Borderlands universe and the chaos of crazy battles with even crazier weapons, but instead of being on a distant planet, we are in a realm of 'futuristic fantasy'. However, the story is not as funny as previous Gearbox games and the world created by Tiny Tina failed to catch me. I believe anyone who is a fan of the series will enjoy having a little more of this universe - and maybe this game is really just for fans of Claptrap's gang.

Slicing through mobs to trade up my weapons is fun, and sometimes an amusing line of dialogue makes everything seem great again. Gearbox could’ve done a lot more with the next installment in the Borderlands' series than this. It all got old, too quickly, and it made me just want to boot up Borderlands 2 with my friends again, instead.

Wonderlands is the safest, most paint-by-numbers, product-of-the-time game I’ve played in a while, and a serving of the same thing Gearbox has been dishing up for 10 years minus the humor. It’s the absolute opposite of avant-garde and simply reuses the Borderlands formula without improving on it in any tangible manner. While it’s more tolerable as a multiplayer game given that you’ll more readily be able to overlook its story and writing, it’s still a disappointing spin-off that takes away more from the source material than it gives back.

The best and worst thing about Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands is that it feels like another Borderlands game. The shooter gameplay is as tight and responsive as ever, the weapons are fun to use, and the writing is a marked improvement over Borderlands 3. The characters are once again at the center of the game’s comedy, and the performances are great (when the actors are actually committing to their roles). But, because this is more Borderlands, a lot of the same annoyances with the series persist, especially when it comes to inventory management and the sheer amount of meaningless loot. Really, Wonderlands’ worst offense is that it can’t get over the series’ legacy of looting and shooting, and misses the opportunity to take real inspiration from the tabletop worlds that it parodies.
