Tiger Woods PGA Tour Online is nice to try out the golf-mechanics for free, however there isn't much content available for those who are not willing to pay for microtransactions or membership.
-
There's some room for improvement of course, and no doubt the customisation options will expand over time and the engine will get tweaked along the way, but as a signpost for the future of how sports games can fit into the new gaming landscape, Tiger's online debut is extremely promising.
-
So, while I recommend this to anyone who plays golf video games, or used to (this brings me back to my Genesis PGA European Tour days), this is, in a way, a very well-looked-after port.
-
Still good, Tiger Woods Online is a missed opportunity. Free stuff worth a try and the engine let it to be played on any PC, It's so a shame that you need to pay just too much for additional contents and to enjoy the complete experience.

PC FormatA simple but entertaining take on the game of golf, if you don't pay for it. A shallow meaningless farce if you do. [June 2010, p.98]
-
A decent game hampered by a completely bonkers and ill-thought-out payment scheme. A bad year for Tiger.
