    This version is no better than the last, is uninspired, and is falling behind the times in technology.

    Sure, buy this game ONLY if you have no recent "TW" title in your library. Because-it's-almost-the-same-game. The dated engine alone is the p*ss poorest demonstration yet of the "we didn't need to bother" attitude from a major publisher. The most convincing argument in PC gaming, that if their ain't no competition, there ain't no reason to improve.     This game is identical to '06. I think the graphics may actually be worse. '06 was a great game, but you would expect MANY more improvements for this year. Aside from a few new courses, and a couple of graphics tweaks, you may as well be playing last year's game. Even all the announcer's commentary is unchanged.     While Tiger 07 is as good as ever, it's also the same as ever, making it hard to recommend, despite its manifold pleasures. [Nov 2006, p.90]

    The recently released "ProStroke Golf" demonstrated how a more advanced control system can work on consoles, and playing Tiger Woods 07 does feel like a slight step back. At the same time, the controls have a simplicity to them that makes the game easy to play, and there is level of depth to the control and shot choice for the more serious players.

    Tiger Woods PGA Tour 07 is the greatest Tiger yet, but it's starting to feel like season five of The Sopranos. It's still the greatest show on TV, but it's starting to feel a bit stale.
