    The game and its atmosphere manage to get you hooked pretty fast and you keep going until the end.

    What you are in for is your regular Telltale Game like TWD with interesting characters, an interesting plot, choices, outcomes, etc. After finishing it I consider replaying it making different choices since it actually matters - unlike in TWD where everyone dies anyway. Anything else    The game and its atmosphere manage to get you hooked pretty fast and you keep going until the end.

    What you are in for is your regular Telltale Game like TWD with interesting characters, an interesting plot, choices, outcomes, etc.
    After finishing it I consider replaying it making different choices since it actually matters - unlike in TWD where everyone dies anyway.

    Anything else would be a spoiler really.

    Telltale's most successful game in my opinion. TWD's first and second seasons were better, but then it became very mediocre with the third and final season. When we think of it as a series, TWD looks worse to me. I've been waiting for a sequel for years but it never happened because Telltale wasted time by making incredibly wrong decisions.     That was a good one. Nice enough to make me interested in the Fables universe, and I think it was worth it just for that. Hope the sequel end up being even better!

    When it came to Telltale's style of game design, this is where they shined the most. But hopefully in the sequel there will be more of a impact on choices, saves carried over, GREAT story telling, and a continuation of the action scenes.

    The best interactive story i've ever played characters, climate noir, best main character The Big Bad Wolf Bigby and the others heroes and antagonists, you must play this game if you like criminal and climate noir, I'm impatiently waiting for part two. 9/10

    The best choice driven game I have ever played. Beautifully written with incredible story and characters. Choices don't have a huge impact overall but the game makes you so invested in the characters that they still feel impactful.

    The Wolf Among Us is an amazing game that I enjoyed very much. It is another masterpiece from Telltale Games, so I knew that it was going to be fine at least, but when playing, it really impressed me yet again.

    You play as Bigby Wolf, a werewolf that is also the sheriff of Fabletown, a city filled with all sorts of magical and fairy tales creatures. Instead of the jolly and kid friendly concept of fairy tale, you now got a dark, grim atmosphere, full of crime, treason and drug abuse.

    There are many problems and incidents in the town lately and it is up to you and your partners Snow White and Ichabod Crane to solve the murders, crimes and mysteries in the game. Eventually, it is shown that the “Crooked Man” is the main villain in the game and that he is behind all the chaos and violence in the town. You eventually get to him and release your inner Werewolf. This scene was so epic, and I replayed it many times.

    Throughout your investigation, you make choices, ask questions and trying to put the puzzle together in order to progress. Choices, accusations and dialogue you choose, all have a great impact on the outcome of the game, just like the Walking Dead series.

    You also got some quick time events that are not required to progress but will affect the outcome of the story in the end. The Wolf Among Us is the only game in which the quick time events did not feel pointless, unlike many other games out there.

    The game is split up into five episodes, each with their unique story, but linked chronologically. Back in the day, you could buy and play the episodes separately, but in late 2014, the retail version came out, including all the five episodes.

    I loved all the episodes and every story just as much as the previous one. It kept me on edge, always wondering what would happen next. You are guessing where a certain villain will be, what will happen to a certain character in the game and are constantly questioning yourself: “Did I make the right decision back there?” The first time playing this game is a magical feeling that you can only experience once.

    The Wolf Among Us looks beautiful. The cell shading style works very well, especially because this game is based on the comic Fables. It is polished and detailed and the animations and facial expressions are just perfect. The characters really have emotions in their face, and it is this kind of games where you really bond with the characters.

    The music and sound are also perfect. In the background, violin music and grim themes are playing, enhancing your experience. The voice acting is excellent and many times, I forgot that I was playing a game and instead thought I was watching a good movie.

    The Wolf Among Us can be considered a point and click novel, and being so, the click controls, and quick time events are responsive, like they should be.

    The best aspect of this game is of course it’s story. It is so powerful and really takes you into a comic book and let you experience an epic journey. I really cared for the characters, was always curious what would happen next and applauded when I finished all the episodes. This game deserves all the love it can gets and the developers from Telltale Games can be proud of their work.

    Absolutely top-notch stuff. One of Telltale's better games easily. IMO, not quite as good as S1 of TWD, but that's the only other thing from Telltale that is even in conversation with The Wolf Among Us in terms of quality. Lack of puzzles and just overall "gameplay" was disappointing for me, though. Really the only fault I have with the game.

This is the most compelling, deep, well-written story from TellTale, although TWD is still more emotional. But overall, this is undoubtedly the best game TellTale has ever putVery good story and interesting characters. Ich möchte das Minecraft, TWD, Batman und Borderland´s Telltale Game jetzt nicht mehr missen, aber wenn Eigenproduktionen genau so gut bis besser sind, weil man sie auch noch gar nicht kennt dann würde ich lieber mehr von diesen haben wollen. The game is alright - the story is fairly decent, the impact of choices seems to be pretty deep, but it's nothing exceptional. The design is decent too, but again nothing exceptional - in my opinion far behind gems like Life Is Strange. And on the technical side it's actually pretty poor, with frequently mismatchedTrying to be as unbiased as I can, I don't see what the hype is about.     Before this game, I was unaware of the whole fable comics series and its concept, so the introduction of these beloved fairy tale characters in a grungy world, definitely got me intrigued. I love the overall aesthetics and artistic choices in this game, from its serious neo-noir look/tone to its contrasting inclusions of goofy-looking characters like Collin and Mr. Toad was something IBefore this game, I was unaware of the whole fable comics series and its concept, so the introduction of these beloved fairy tale characters in a grungy world, definitely got me intrigued. I love the overall aesthetics and artistic choices in this game, from its serious neo-noir look/tone to its contrasting inclusions of goofy-looking characters like Collin and Mr. Toad was something I never knew I wanted, until now.     I have enjoyed every Tell Tale game I have played thus far but even by that standard The Wolf Among Us is easily my second favourite and a fantastic game. I absolutely love the gritty world it has created taking well known characters from fables and giving them circumstances and lives in our world that is anything from ideal and is very relatable in many cases. The story was extremely well done and I loved many of the choices you could make and ways you could branch things. I didn’t always like the choice options I had but that is actually a good thing as sometimes you don’t have options that are perfect or good so what I loved was how some of them could make me conflicted. The characters are all pretty well explored and I enjoyed them although I would have loved if Bloody Mary had more time in game. I liked how you could be a more brutal Bigby or show restraint or somewhere in the middle. The graphics are similar to other Tell Tale games which is to save a well done comic style. The voice acting was superb across the board with no characters who I would say was voiced poorly. The music was great and the intro credits to each episode really had a good noir feel to it.

    I played The Wolf Among Us on Linux using Wine and DXVK. It crashed once to the desktop but other than that ran great with no other bugs or glitches that I noticed. There are two graphics settings; an AA toggle; and a resolution option. Alt-Tab works. The game manually saves at checkpoints. The spacing on them were alright but it makes trying out different choices a pain sometimes. I would have preferred a manual save system. You can pause cut scenes but not skip them. I couldn’t measure the frame rate but I didn’t notice any lag.

    If you enjoy Tell Tale style games you should really give this a go. You don’t have to know a ton of backstory on the graphic novel or the fable characters to enjoy it as it does a great job explaining things and has a fantastic glossary of characters and events. I finished my play through in eight hours and three minutes and can say I highly enjoyed it and can say it is easily worth it’s current price tag of $19.99 CAD.

    Thought to peek at this after I fed my obsession with Telltale's WD. It looked interesting and I am so glad I did. I enjoyed what they did having characters from most known fairy tales but with a twist.     I like everything from this game: the detective feel that it gives you, the choices you make during the story which really impacts on the way other characters think of you, etc.

With a start that gets you hooked and some interesting twists along the road, the story is good but not without its flaws (and disappointing ending). Telltale has had this problem before, but different routes will still lead to the same beats/endings (i.e. Toad). This game is definitely a lot of fun if you enjoy Telltale or story-driven games in general, but it's far from my favorite in the genre.

    The best interactive/noir game I’ve ever played, iconic badass protaginist (Big bad wolf) Bigby performed by a super voice actor, great characters dark story and even darker shocking moments, gore violence and partial nudity, this game is for sure provide a complete adult unique experience, the best telltale game and the best fitting soundtrack, a 9.5/10 must play

    This had a pretty interesting premise of putting all of the so called Fables from different folklore's and tales in a modern environment trying to survive. The game play was a pretty basic make your own decisions with some reaction button smashing when a fight occurs, it isn't anything that interesting and the so called '' puzzles'' were just there to waste your time. The choices you were making did have some impact on the story and how the world and it's characters react toward you but it didn't really change the overall experience that much, it was also an issue that most of the characters weren't that fleshed out which made it harder for you to like them or even care about them (the walking dead didn't have this issue and it was awesome because you actually kinda empathized with the the main character and the supporting cast). The game also had a couple of bugs but I enjoyed the overall story and the ''twist'' that they showed up in the end, I can say that it did made me at least a bit interested in the Fables comics which this was inspired from so I can say that this is a pretty alright game 8/10… Expand

    i like characters, ost, graphic style, plot, lore, detective and noir part of game. but there is one bad thing its slow gameplay, fights and , movement. but anyway i like this game so much, one of my favourites game ever

    I believe The Wolf Among Us took game industry to whole new level with its intriguing story.

I loved how the game kept its drama right to the end. A proper ending and so many unanswered questions!    Incredible. Absolutely incredible.

    However, the only reason that I don't give a 10 for this game is the influences of choices in game.
    Telltale games are known for freedom of choices; So I was expecting something like Detroit Become Human. I was surprised when I found out the game is actually pretty linear. Like whatever you do, the result is the same. In another words, It was more like of a to-get-involved kind of choices, not to-make-your-own-story choices. This makes game unworthy to play second playthrough.
    In general, it's 100% worth playing because you don't only play the game, you live with it.

La historia, es una fabula que por cada capitulo la boca la tendrás mas abierta que el anterior. Cada personaje tiene ese no seque que al menos yo busco. Esa cosa siniestra me fascina. Lo jugaría una y mil veces mas. Me da mucha pena que el estudio se haya cerrado. Pero hace poco que se anuncio la parte 2 no puedo esperar para jugarlo.

    A good game if you're into this episodic storytelling genre. Good story, voiceacting, graphics etc. A lot of the choices doesn't seem to alter the outcome that much though.

    Good game, definitely one of the best made by Telltale. Very unique universe and great main protagonist. Good story overall. Too bad that 2nd part is not going to be released.

    Probably the only game where the Tell Tale formula really works. The standard game play and art style works wonderfully for this story. The characters are very compelling and the story is pretty nice. It's a shame this game never got a sequel.     I am not too familiar with the fable comic series but for the first impression of this franchise, this game is amazing. The concept of fairy tale characters living in the modern-day is very interesting. Tell-Tale has made quite a niche game.     It's mostly enjoyable thanks to It's engaging narrative and great characters (Not to forget the art direction), but fails in It's gameplay, obviously It's not the focus of this story-heavy games but something to consider.
    It's a real shame what happened to the guys at Telltale.

    I started this game when the first episode came out, but lost interest because of the wait between episodes. Recently I came back and played all five episodes in sequence. I think it deserves the high ratings it has received from critics and players.

    It's not the most sophisticated graphics but remains true to the style of the Fables graphic novel series. The story is a sophisticated whodunit that is at least on a par with Bill Willingham's finest. I especially liked the final accounting, when all the aggrieved parties confront the baddie in chief. Then there were a few epilogues that had a lot of heart.

    The most challenging part of the game is knowing what to say or do in situations that are often morally ambiguous. You don't have much time and any choice you make could turn out wrong. Your choices make a real difference in the story and in how people perceive you... and eventually in how you perceive yourself.

    This is NOT a game for children! It might help some of us become better adults, however.    … Expand

    There is nothing I can say too much for this game. I think the thoughts of me and everyone in general are the same. It was by far the best game of Telltale Games. If he continued, he would have stopped even The Walking Dead series, but instead they kept making stupid games and they eventually went down. I really want to see more with a different game company in the future.

Любителей детективов сразу предупреждаю, игра является больше психологической драмой, чем самим детективом. Разработчики сделали больше упор на эмоции героев и их внутренние переживания. Недостатки в игре те же, что и в других проектах Telltale: рваная анимация и линейный сюжет. Ещё момент: герои игры являются всем известными сказочными персонажами, однако в плане повествования ничего отдалённо не напоминает сказки, собственно как и оригинальный комикс. Так что те кто ждут интерпретации всеми известных историй под нуар, как Alice у МакГи под готику, то вы разочаруетесь, так как повествование идёт как в обычном нуарном детективе, а не в духе детских книжек. The choices you make that affect the story are nice too (wish they had bigger impact though, giving 9 instead of 10 because of that). The graphics are a bit cartoony, but still very pleasant.     It kept me playing for a complete day without loosing interest. And that's what I don't remember happen for a good while. Beautiful storytelling and camera angles, good voicing and sounds, believable characters, plot twists and surprises all helped unfold an interesting game. Some may complain about the graphics but I considered it as a unique style for a comic themed story.

    *GRAPHICS*: Graphically it's simply Telltale brand. Artistically remarkable, although the city is quite unimaginative.

    *SOUND: Excellent dubbing (as always in Telltale) and a soundtrack that has its moments.
    The sound effects are correct.

    *INNOVATION: The Wolf Among Us presents the world of Fables, a reinvention of the classic children's stories turned into an adult plot. It's been a long time since I've seen something as curious and interesting as this work by Bill Willingham.

    Avere la possibilità di fare delle scelte che cambieranno il corso della storia? I'm in! Uno dei giochi migliori di questo genere, dalla grafica che richiama il disegno del fumetto originale, alle storia non troppo complessa e godibile, fino ai personaggi ben caratterizzati.
    Creature sovrannaturali, combattimenti e tanta avventura, è questo TWAU.

In the middle of first episode we have a obvious message that killer is the most powerful guy in the city.....and in the end we'll found that the killer is the most powerfull guy in the city. That make me think that game is weak for detective genre.

La historia es impecable, en ningún momento hay partes flojas y siempre te mantiene desde qué empiezas a jugar hasta qué te terminas el juego enganchado y con constante intriga en todos los episodios. La OST es muy buena, quizás algo cortita respecto a otros juegos, pero qué encaja a la perfección con la ambientación del juego. Su duración está bastante bien, yo tardé 11 horas en completarlo y de verdad qué merecen muchísimo la pena ya qué cómo digo, la historia es impecable y siempre os tendrá enganchados. Un auténtico juegazo de Telltale Games qué por desgracia ha pasado bastante desapercibido entre muchísimos jugadores.… Expand
