    The Wizards is generally a good VR action-adventure title. Using some imaginative and intuitive controls to cast spells, it does an excellent job of making the player feel like they are indeed controlling a powerful wizard. The narrator is brilliant, and there are some really special effects and sights to see. However, things are let down slightly by the overall length of the game, which can be polished off in just a few hours. Additionally, many of the landscapes and levels have the habit of merging together due to how similar in style they look to one another, with only small bits of variety. It isn't the cheapest adventure on the market, but certainly one to pick up if a fan of this genre.

    On the gamut of magic-based first-person action games, The Wizards is definitely one of the better ones. Its spell-casting system is interactive without being too cumbersome and the campaign mode packs a decent amount of content. Plenty of collectibles, a replayable Arena mode, and lots of mission augmentations add up to this being one of the best ways to live out your most fantastical magical fantasies in VR. We just wanted more and preferably multiplayer of some kind.

    Подробное описание игры вы, вероятно, найдете в других обзорах. Здесь я напишу самое важное для меня: когда я купил игру, играть я в неё не мог – большое время кадра, постоянные микролаги и огромный дроп кадров при открывании дверей. Я написал об этом на форуме, один из разработчиков написал, что готовится обновление, сильно оптимизирующее использование процессора. Я дождался обновления, но единственный результат, который я заметил – игра перестала виснуть при открывании дверей. Опять написал об этом на форуме и снова получил информацию об следующем обновлении. Снова опробовал и не заметил результата, уже думал возвращать средства, но решил всё-таки подождать следующее обещанное обновление (которое включает Enchanced Edition) и вот чудо – вместо почти 45 FPS на средних я получил 90FPS на максимальных! И 90 FPS было стабильным, не падало, разработчики действительно очень хорошо оптимизировали нагрузку на CPU.
    А ещё, добавили русский язык, что довольно приятно. Теперь можно включить субтитры и понять что там бормочет ГГ)
    Если бы в эту игру ещё бы и добавили workshop, то эта была бы однозначно лучшая VR игра из существующих (хотя я и не так много VR игр опробовал, чтобы заявлять так).
    Это одна из довольно немногих VR-игр, о покупке которой я ничуть не жалею

    Post Scriptum. Но вот баг с 3м улучшением огненного шара исправить не могут (баг появляется только у старых игроков, которые начали игру до обновления Enhanced Edition и ещё не получили это улучшение). Хотя, разработчик связался в ЛС, чтобы уточнить подробности, поэтому не могу сказать, что они ничего не делают.
    Также в этой игре есть баг с сбрасыванием языка каждый запуск и несколько дырок в уровнях. Субтитры плавают внизу, но не закреплены к HMD (т.е если вы посмотрели вниз, ГГ начал говорить, то вы не сможете посмотреть вверх, видя субтитры, т.к они прикрепились к тому месту и будут медленно плыть к текущему положению HMD. Это неудобно

    В целом, игра стоящая, основные функции очень хорошо реализованы. Жаль, уровни идут не подряд, +после каждого уровня вы видите счёт и доску лидеров, что добавляет аркадности и довольно сильно развеивает атмосферу    … Full Review »

    Pros:
    + Great pacing. Main campaign keeps juggling action, puzzles and exploration and never gets boring
    + Gesture-based spellcasting is an awesome idea. Really made me wish for something more complex, like rune-based magic of Arx Fatalis
    + Nice environments and bosses. Giant structures and creatures look really impressive in VR, and everything in this game is huge)
    + Flexible difficulty settings via score modifiers like in Bastion or Sairento VR

    Cons:
    - Targeting is really wonky on any auto-aim settings. It's especially annoying when using bow spell, since any auto-aim is unnecessary for bow combat
    - Visuals could be better, especially enemy animations
