Players who love Michonne, or who love any action game with the right amount of drama and zombie killing, can pick up the season pass in order to get access to the first two episodes and the third upon its release.

The second episode of Michonne’s story improves on the first, but the same old Telltale technical issues lurk like a herd of walkers in the shadows.

It didn’t do much in terms of being unique, but it did have a very interesting and intense narrative. The only thing that irritated me was the loading problem, but it didn’t affect my enjoyment of the overall episode.

The Walking Dead: Michonne Episode 2 – Give No Shelter is a definite step up from the first episode in every way, with a short length and isolated technical issues being its only notable missteps. Here's hoping for an equally satisfying conclusion.

That said, "Give No Shelter" is an improvement over the first chapter, which to be honest, wasn't that hard. Hopefully Telltale can continue riding this upward trend for the finale, and deliver a satisfying conclusion worthy of its protagonist.

Essentially an hour-long QTE, offering up the guilty pleasure of slaughtering everything with reckless abandon as the bad-ass, post apocalyptic force of nature that is Michonne. A far shot from what made the original series unforgettable though.

The second episode of this short spin-off is a little better than the debut one. In the first half of Give No Shelter there's some rushed moments and a pinch of groundless fan-service, but after that the story finally thickens. Let's wait for the last chapter and hope for the best.

Michonne is undoubtedly a strong star, but the rest of the characters fall short as a supporting cast — they’re mostly backdrops and mirrors for Michonne to look into. It doesn’t hurt her character development, but it takes some of the emotion out of otherwise-powerful scenes that clearly affect Michonne deeply.

While it's a stronger entry than In Too Deep, Give No Shelter doesn't justify this mini-season. Michonne's story so far—and the series in general—relies more and more on death and violence while providing fewer meaningful choices for players to contemplate.

Michonne as a character and excellent action sequences keep this second episode together, though barely. Hopefully Telltale have something much bigger and better planned for the conclusion of this miniseries.

The Walking Dead Michonne Episode 2 Give No Shelter definitely feels like an improvement over the first episode at first glance, thanks to a much faster and action packed experience. Unfortunately, little development for new character and villains prevent it from actually being better than the previous episode. Both episodes have some very good features and a few flaws, so only Episode 3 will allow us to pass final judgement on the whole series.

This episode seems a slight disappointment on the first, mostly due to the narrative hand-holding.

Give No Shelter is another good episode of The Walking Dead: Michonne that showcases some slight improvements and sets the stage for a potentially great showdown, but still suffers from a few cliches and an all-too-short length that leaves you demanding more.

In terms of quality versus quantity, Episode 2 doesn't improve upon Episode 1 in any regard other than artistic direction. In fact, any sort of wonder or anticipation is now completely gone, since the hope that Episode 1 might just be setting up some cool new direction for the series is lost now that we're two-thirds of the way through.

The second episode of The Walking Dead: Michonne continues where the first episode left off, but delivers less of a consistent experience than the season premiere.

Compared to Telltale’s other work in this universe, Michonne’s mini-series lacks any discernible guiding philosophy outside of poorly articulated and uninteresting nihilism. I’m not attached to any of these new characters and I know that Michonne is not in harm’s way given that the series occurs between certain issues of the comic, so what impetus is there to care about anything that’s going on here? While the aimlessness of Give No Shelter might thematically match the hopeless wandering of its source material, it makes for a rather unpleasant and forgettable time.

In a season consisting of five or more episodes, a transitional, table-setting tale like Give No Shelter would theoretically justify itself. But with just one more chapter left, it feels like there should be more here. Despite that, I do have faith that the finale will tie it all together neatly.

I’m definitely a little less enthused with The Walking Dead: Michonne having played this second chapter. Hopefully Telltale is able to wrap things up in a more meaningful way next episode, but as of now I’m a little less excited to dive in and see this thing through. I’ll still be playing it, of course, but my expectations are certainly tempered.

The Walking Dead: Michonne's second episode features cinematic combat sequences and fascinating flashback scenes, but it is let down by uninteresting characters and scenarios. The game’s final episode has a lot of heavy lifting to do.

If possible, this second episode is even worse than the previous one. The well-oiled Telltale formula is getting old, but something else must have gone wrong, this time, because the story fails completely to engage the player or make him real anxious, and the "difficult" choices aren't difficult at all.

The introductory episode was ok, now we were given a dull sequel. More clichés, technically goofed and (maybe fortunately?) shorter. If The Walking Dead: Michonne aspires to be short-but-fun adventure, it has to add a lot in the upcoming final episode.

If this was a typical five or six episode ordeal like the main Walking Dead series, Give No Shelter would be a welcome down-episode that could be used to develop characters further and build up an impending threat the group will face. Instead, it’s a very brief, underwhelming episode with little character-anything other than a little backstory on Sam.

This second, short, episode in Telltale’s latest Walking Dead series continues to be a fairly engaging study of Michonne’s character, but struggles to generate much attachment to the other players in its familiar tale of capture-and-pursuit.
  24. 40
Along with the usual technical problems, The Walking Dead: Michonne Episode 2 'Give No Shelter' adds on many issues of its own. At just over an hour, the episode is woefully short, but the story isn't even engaging enough to make it worthwhile for that short amount of time.

Although I like MIchonne's character a lot, and she carries the series. It just doesn't have the same flair as the Walking Dead Season 1 and 2 had, the characters aren't really that interesting excluding Michonne and usually how I would feel after making a choice, being like whether I made the right choice, I didn't really care as much. I think the main problem with this is that it's just too damn short, if you had even made each episode like at least 1hr 30min - 2hrs, I think there would be more depth in the characters, in the story and how penalising it would feel each choice you make can be. But on a whole, I enjoyed this better than the last episode, but it's just not what I would have envisioned this could be. But hell I'll play it anyways I love Telltale. Full Review »
