    Clementine and Lee have such a great daughter-father relationship. Reminds me so much of Joel and Ellie and I love that. This game is the first game that I played that made me into video games so I'm very pleased and will always have a great memory. Thank you telltale for making a great game. The only issue is how choices DO NOT MATTER. The story and characters are amazingly written. EvenClementine and Lee have such a great daughter-father relationship.     I don't think a game series has ever brought as much emotion out of me as TWD by Telltale.
    As the name of the studio suggests, this is an interactive story rather than a game.
    If you are okay with this type of media, TWD will be a joy to experience.

    Supposedly my assessment does not reflect the state of the games, because a lot of people (like me) complain about poor graphics, little progress with newer parts and old mechanics, but these are typical elements of almost every game, and TWD from Telltale is, as everyone knows, a "series "

This game is just the absolute best game I've ever played, and it will most likely never have the throne stepped upon by any other game. It reaches your limits for playing and putting yourself into the hands of the characters and looking out for them. It has grown upon many other users such as myself, and if I were to tell you one thing about this game if you haven't played/bought it, it will be the best money you will ever spend in your entire life, as a gamer.     Se gostarem de um bom jogo com uma boa história então JOGUEM este jogo seja pelo pc, telémovel/celular, PS, etc..
    Nesta aventura irão acompanhar o Lee, o protagonista desta história, num mundo pós apocalíptico.
    Se estás/estavas com duvidas se valia a pena jogar ou não, devido ao seus gráficos apesar de eu gostar MUITO da artes dessa editora/developer, (volto a repetir não define um jogo) espero que te tenha ajudado na tua escolha.

    You’ll experience a storyline like no other. The relationships that you’ll establish to these characters are so strong and the soundtrack is just the cherry on top. I love games where you get to create your own storyline, based on the choices you make and Telltale’s The Walking Dead, does it like no other. Must play!!

    The story in this game is a part of the comic books "The Walking Dead," but you don't really need to know anything about them. You don't even need to be a great gamer to fully experience this. This game is so well-crafted that anybody can enjoy it.

    By far, this has been the best gaming experience I've had. I never thought it would be possible to feel something like this in a video game. The character interactions, exploration, puzzles, dialogues, and choices – everything is amazing. I cared deeply about each character in the story, and they all left their mark, whether positive or negative. I eagerly anticipated what would happen next at every moment, and I never experienced a second of boredom. Truly astounding.

    I did realize that this isn't the type of game with completely divergent routes altering the entire experience from A to Z. The choices do matter, but to a certain extent. They alter the story's delivery, while the core remains intact. This doesn't bother me, honestly. Some choices hold greater long-term weight, while others have more transient impacts. You can never be sure which is which. These choices can reshape characters, how they engage with you, even certain scenes. Consequences are present – don't forget that. They might not lead you on a wholly distinct path, transitioning from zombies to aliens, but they are significant, believe me. However, certain elements will always persist, yet the game's craftsmanship ensures you'll never predict which.

    It's a unique experience that will remain indelibly etched in your memory, defying comparison with anything else. It thrives as a video game, where you assume control of characters and engage with others. Honestly, I'm not quite sure what Telltale did with this game that made me love it so profoundly, but they certainly achieved it. For real, I even shed tears at the end, and I have no qualms admitting it. The emotions I felt for Lee and Clem in this game, surpass anything I've experienced for characters in other stories.

    Do yourself a favor and play this, regardless of your gaming inclination. Basic English language knowledge is all you need.    … Expand

    A game that is exciting from the very beginning. Great atmosphere of the zombie apocalypse, horror and hopelessness. Your every wrong word or action can lead to something big. You sincerely worry about the heroes and try to help them, but it doesn't always work out... The ending of the game also makes you cry. 10 out of 10.

    The best season of Telltale's Walking Dead. It mostly focuses on walkers' as the biggest danger, but also includes several conflicts inside of the group, and covers all the possible threats and problems survivors can face in zombie apocalypse. And i can not but emphasize the fantastic chemistry between two of the main protagonists, and how powerful ending feels like because of it.

    With The Walking Dead, Telltale does it again. An amazing game in which I literally cried at the end. When a game can do that to my rotten black heart, that means something.

    Because the focus here is based one hundred percent on the story, I will not say anything about it. This is something you need to experience for yourself.

    Let me just say that it is themed around the famous comic and TV series: The Walking Dead. That part was obvious, but it also completely original. It has some characters and locations from the comics, but is otherwise completely new and fresh.

    You collect different items that you can/must later use to progress. The game is on rail and apart from some mini games and puzzles, it plays itself forward, after the right choice or response has been given. It gives the feeling of an old school point and click game.

    The game can end early when making the wrong decision, in which you need to start over. The whole ending and which characters still live and which dies is entirely up to you. Based on your conversation with characters and your actions, it will dramatically impact the outcome. For this reason, you can play the game over again multiple times, and get many different endings.

    The Walking Dead from Telltales looks beautiful and makes good use of the cell shading graphics. The sounds and music are nice and fits the game well.

    The biggest strong point of this game is the connection that you establish with the characters and especially, the main character. You get really attached to them. You cannot stop playing because you want to know what is going to happen next.

    I found the game a little short, but this can be the fact that it is just so damn good that you keep playing for hours on end.

    This was my first experience with a Telltale game and it was a beautiful experience. Like I said, I cried like a baby at the end of the game and they were tears of sadness but also joy. The joy of finally playing a good game in the year 2013, the year that I completed this game fully.

    The final season is close competition, but this season is much more proficiently written. I rarely felt like I didn't want to choose any of the available dialogue options or that there was something important I wanted to say, but there was no dialogue option for it, or that the characters weren't acting sensibly.

    The important choices you have to make are, for the most part, genuinely difficult. Giving the player a limited amount of time to decide was an excellent idea because you could spend a lot of time weighing some of them up.

    It took me a long time to realise how difficult it must be to get that right. Telltale really made it feel effortless. And yet, I don't think I ever made a choice for reasons the game hadn't expected, which is a common source of frustration in adventure games.

    The emotional core of the game is the relationship between Clementine and Lee, an 8 year old girl and the history professor/convicted murderer who finds her alone at the onset of the zombie apocalypse. In the back story to this game, Lee found his wife in bed with another man, fought with him and killed him. As the player, you're forced to reconcile this fact with the kind and caring father figure he becomes to Clementine.

    Lee is wise, but pragmatic. He admits to making up his parenting philosophy on the fly and, for the most part, also can't fall back on the general ideas about parenting that even non-parents would be aware of. They lack the nuance required in the new, much more morally ambiguous post-outbreak world.

    In almost any other game, and most other media as well, Clementine would have been a standard child-shaped McGuffin. I get the feeling Telltale was aware of that and worked hard to avoid it. Thankfully, they didn't go too far in the opposite direction and make Clementine feel like an adult or an exaggeration.

    Season 1's Clementine is cautious and innocent, but savvy and resourceful. She's optimistic, but not naive. She's brave, but worries easily. She's loyal and has an immense capacity for empathy and understanding, even for people who have done terrible things.

    You build a relationship between the two characters gradually and realistically over the course of the game, mostly through small acts like cutting Clem's hair short to make it harder to grab. Say what you will about the "dadification" of video games, but this game made me want to learn about adoption. That's pretty powerful. It turns out that there are more adopters than potential adoptees in my country and fostering is usually at least a part-time job.

    The other characters are all pretty interesting as well, but you get the idea.

    The game is super cool. I literally cried at the end of the last episode of final season.
    Strongly recommend to play. I played all 4 seasons in two weeks. Can't imaging that we will not see more episodes and Clem anymore

De verdad no entiendo las criticas negativas hacia este juego tal vez no sea perfecto para ti o no te guste pero por eso no dices que es basura para mi este juego es perfecto y el unico que identifico como mi juego favorito y de hay he sacado mi personaje favorito que es Clem es una narrativa muy intensa, emocional y que innove como juego no quiere decir que sea malo y yo lo veo tan diferente al resto que para mi simplemente es perfecto.

    Le doy mi apoyo porque se merece una buena reseña.

    This is an amazing experience. It's like being the hero of a movie and your decisions will have an effect on how the story develops. The characters are mesmerizing and it is really hard to not care about them.
    My only complaint would be that the game is a little short but there will be more seasons coming out.

    Well this small gem piece is more like watching serie and making some serious decisions.
    It has very strong script and characters. It makes you think about yourself, how would you behave in really difficult situations.

The artwork from the comics flows beautifully, the foley work sounds fantastic and the voice-actors are fantastic. They really give such depth to all the characters and make everything they do so vital which are always well worth investing time and emotion. It's a rare thing indeed in a crazy world of games that just ask you to hit a button. Special kudos to Melissa Hutchison as the voice of Clementine who made me bawl over her...… Expand

    This is definately one of the best games I've ever played. The story is totally amazing, and the way they tell it made me so emotionally engaged I just couldn't stop playing.     Admittedly it have some minor issues, but it's pro's are outweighing it by far. The controls when shooting were a little bit clunky. I prefer playing with a gamepad, but had to switch to the mouse a few times for the shooting sequences. Also you can't skip movie sequences after having watched them once, if you happen to die or want to reload some part. And I wish they could put a save function in not just the auto save cause I ended up replaying longer parts than necessary sometimes.

    I've seen some complaints that it's too little gameplay and too little action and if you can't stand story and dialogue being more prominent than shooting stuff this is not the game for you. Personally I totally loved that it was more about dialogue and some puzzle solving (I hope they have a bit more challenging puzzles in season 2 though). I think the length of the game was good too. I got totally hooked and it took me a few days to run through the 5 episodes (the reviewers saying it only takes three hours only played episode 1).

    Other game makers should look at this as a very good example of what you can actually do with a game and how to tell a story, because that part was absolutely perfect. The choices are sometimes really tough, and the game actually made me cry at some points. I very much look forward to season 2 of The Walking Dead. If they can keep the same level of writing and voice acting season 2 is a must buy for me!    … Expand

    Absolutely amazing game. Changing storyline, detailed characters, edgy graphics and gameplay system. It's not a 10 because it has an occasional bug and glitch and isn't 100% refined. It's rough on a few of its edges but it's still an absolutely fantastic game worth playing. 9/10 all day.

There were only maybe one or two times that I felt the pacing was slow, and towards the end of the story, things get really gripping and grim. I felt like I was back playing Resident Evil 2 again, but remember, we're talking about the same suspense and dread featured in an action horror game, except I'm experiencing it in a story game. It's just masterfully produced and executed. I found it a pleasure to look at on my monitor as well. It looks markedly better on PC than it does on the Xbox. I really can't say enough. It's sort of the "game I've been waiting for." I facepalm constantly at the horrible story direction that most games have, this was like being thrown a much wanted bone. But each episode makes you make some very hard decisions and the game takes those choices into account as the world moves on. Some choices have higher values than others, and you sometimes learn that the hard way, and sometimes the choices you make seem like they would have a bigger impact but then they don't... That's why I gave the game a 9/10. Overall, it's an amazing game that deserves some of the highest praise, but there are just a few things that stick out that keep it from being perfect. It's more inconsistencies than anything... But if you get it, and you don't mind doing the story/puzzle thing instead of shooting 50,000,000 zombies in the face, then you'll definitely enjoy the ride!… Expand

    I usually hate story focused games. I just want a game to PLAY, and prefer to enjoy my storytelling in books, movies, even TV. Maybe that's because most games just do an abysmally amateurish job of it, but this game is one of very few exceptions. The story is almost good enough to forget it doesn't even have any gameplay. For a gamer like me, that's saying a whole lot. Highly recommended.

Every choice you make can affect you way later down the road to similar to the style Mass Effect recently took.

    So yeah, after finishing it I had to leave a positive review. It would be a crime not to. The way your choices affect everything is done extremely well, there's a good plot, and great characters.

I hated some, I loved some but rarely I felt indifferent about them and that is always a plus. Honestly, at some point I started caring for Clementine like she was my own daughter. The only character I felt lacked depth was the main character but I think that may be on purpose because your supposed to feel like you are the main character. The gameplay itself was a little lackluster in some parts, with some solutions being WAY too obvious. I barely had to think when solving the problems in the game. But this isnt a traditional point and click adventure so I took only 1 point from my review. The graphics and sound are all top notch but some of the voice acting was bad to the point it made me laugh. Great game, definetly one of the best of the year.… Expand

As an adventure game its an awesome accomplishment. If you were expecting a Mass Effect zombie mod its the wrong game for you. Also many people miss the entire point of the TV series and this game. Its not Left 4 Dead and all about zombie slaying, its about people and about humanity and what happens when all the structure one day disappears?     I was thouroughly suprised that i enjoyed this game as much as I did. I really enjoyed the story just as much as the show or the comic. The characters were well written and there was a ton of suspense. I will definately pick up another installment if they make one.

I absolutely love games that lets you choose different actions to make and also affect on storyline as you progress in the game. Characters are unique and different. Between mouse problems (fixed by changing the resolution and then changing it back), save import bugs (especially hard to solve on this Mac laptop), and the metaphorical Sword of Damocles that is review season creating a limit on how much time I can spend fixing the game, it

Bottom line: i'm not having much difficulty so its fairly easy and fairly hard most times throughout game. There is more than just 1 second to reply to someone (timed conversation)

    It's got a good scavenging, but could be improved to have the player go more deeper to find stuff like food, weapons, etc. I like how its separated up into "episodes" like some tv show, it breaks everything up like in half life 2 (epi.1, epi.2)    … Expand

    You really feel the weight of your decisions. You're decisions can be as "simple" as choosing who gets to it, to choosing if someone dies or not, who you'll save.
    Some of them, you'll regret further on.
    This game has a some great characters. It's not a hard game, and not too long, but it's worth every cent spent on it. Really recommend it!

    If you're coming into this expecting Gears of War or COD zombie mode, you're in for a hell of a disappointment. If you're coming into this expecting a fantastic narrative, sound, and art, expect to be very pleased.
    Personally, I haven't ever had an emotional gameplay experience on this level before. Superb.

    But i guess the most important aspect of the story is that what your group is doing makes sense, for example they live in the 21 century, they try using radios, TV.. etc (such aspects don't exist in the TV show!), Secondly, they do understand it's pointless to find a permanent place to stay in a city full of walkers, so they always move, and when they do stay for long periods in one spot, a valid reason is provided, like waiting for the army to roll in, which they fast realize it's not going to happen so they move on..

    And although the game-play is Click-to-Play, which is obviously bogus and stupid, especially for a walking dead game which you'd expect to have a very action-packed gameplay, but the story telling compensate that pretty good, and the game itself make the click-to-play thing rather fun.. it feels more like watching a neat movie then playing game, i haven't counted but i'm pretty sure that if you take all the cut-scenes out you'd probably get less then 3 hours game-play, but still it's amazingly fun.    … Expand

    This game is perfect concerning the emotions it transports through the story and the decisions. I don't know the comics or TV series and I was completely satisfied with the outcome. There are just three issues (two minor, one major) that I didn't like about the game after playing it once (and I'll play it again, of course): First thing is that sometimes the decisions you made in the past episodes aren't reflected correctly in the "What happened in the last episode"-scenes and even some dialogues didn't reflect what I was actually doing or saying either. The second minor issue is that it's way too easy. I like adventure games but it seemed like it had this "casual game" feeling: no real item combination or usage (only if the icon for the item appeared), low interaction possibilities with the "useless" environment and these limitations make it easy to succeed.

    The major problem is that the last episode is relatively short and feels like they wanted to end it quick because all story content has been told. I'm looking forward to a sequel. It deserves one for real.

    I enjoyed it and I will enjoy it again when I play it a second time.

    For those who didn't like the content or don't care much about it: Think of this game as if it was you in this situation and what you would do. Think of you choosing who should survive and who shouldn't and then again think about the people you wanted to save but couldn't. This is such an intense feeling you get. And about the ones complaining of the low impact of choices: You can choose but it's not said that all your choices are gonna lead to something that is inevitable. I was surprised really often which makes this game more thrilling. Another fact is that it's no complete game split in episodes. Usually, they didn't even get started working on episode five when the first comes out and then have to rely on what happened before in all episodes. If you had more high impact choices, you had more spreading content which might confuse the story telling later on for sure and making it very complicated to code and implement in a logical way. Everything that a story-driven game needs is one ending. I mean, what would you do with more endings anyways? It's better to have a really good one than eight so-so endings. I played some Bioware and Lionhead titles and none of these games had choices that felt so deep emotional at all, even though they had huge impact. You either know a choice is good or bad, but The Walking Dead proves that some of these choices are all bad, maybe risky and you're choosing the better option.

    Maybe it's better not to only play through the game but to think about what you're actually playing. You might find it more entertaining then.    … Expand

    A great game for sure, i have never seen and experienced such great story in a video game but as far as the game play is concerned its not much then just quick time events and button mashing.Its not a game of the year for me but had much fun playing through it. Its story was very addictive and i wanted to keep playing through it. A must play game for sure

    I got 18hs straight playing it, just cannot stop until finish, through a really good and very tense narrative and different action/gameplay style who puts you in the middle of difficult decisions, which have direct impact on what's going on next. You have not always the time to think about, just react, but if your reactions are bad you can have    This game is awesome, nothing less.

    You have not always the time to think about, just react, but if your reactions are bad you can have troubles now or after, consequences brought by your decisions. And just like on real life, some of them you will have to carry with you until the end of story.

    Although you have to follow a lot of dialogues, more than real action, you cannot simply sit down and think, most of times. You have to be ready to act or make decisions, so you just stare at the screen, and not rarely you can feel you're really there, a deep immersion factor.

    Soundtrack is decent, matching the tension. Graphics are wonderful, and history too.
    I can see just two problems about that game:

    You can lost a split second, confusing by the controls, and sometimes it's lethal. The good news is that although the game have not a better save system than autosave, if you die on the middle of an action scene the autosave brings you exactly at the point you died.

    Also, the game have a lot of replay value, if you think you can have different decisions to make and different things to handle according on how you act before. But the game needs a way to skip some cut scenes or even dialogues faster, for those who previously finished.

    Though it may be debatable that there may be not much game, it is made up by everything else. These tense moments, emotions and great story and dialogue makes up for this far beyond what I even expected to experience.

    I think this game is rather a movie than a game, but thats aint a problem! The story is well written with fantastic characters. The graphic is a bit rusty but its somehow fits perfectly for the whole atmosphere.

    dont let the few haters get you down, this game has won its awards through well written story and action sequences. This is one of the few games that had me at the edge of my seat one moment then utterly breathless in shock at another moment, and finally in tears in yet a different scene.
