Aug 15, 2023That's a gorgeous game with a nice narrative, but I came to realize that "walking simulatores" are not my thing. That being said, it seems like The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is a pretty good title for the genre.

Feb 5, 2023Complete snooze fest all in all. But the premise was somewhat interesting and the world was pretty. But just didn't personally find it very fun to play.

Oct 25, 2022Атмосферно простенькие головоломки ,версия redux еще стало круче, спустя несколько лет можно еще поиграть

Oct 12, 2022pros: graphics, nice scenery
cons: not enough interactions, too much of a walking simulator, predictable and forgettable story.
Overall - a waste of time. -
Oct 3, 2022not my type of game.
at first sight it was pretty good and interesting but i just cant seet for a very long time and just walk in this game. story and quests are too rare. i didnt like gameplay and its not as much story as i want. also game is pretty old and visual is not good so walking is not only uninteresting also it is a little unbeautyfully -

Apr 10, 2022Got the game free from Epic Store. Story is very interesting, every single clue you find makes you more curious for the rest of the story. Graphics looks stunning. First game area cant stop looking for the view.

Mar 22, 2022The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is a 2014 horror adventure video game developed and published by The Astronauts. The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is set in an open world environment, in which the player can roam around and explore at will; in its opening the game notes that it "does not hold [the player's] hand", and as such features very little by way of explanation to the mechanics.
-
Mar 19, 2022The Vanishing of Ethan Carter lacks the proper amount of player's agency to compensate for its beautiful but ultimately boring sandbox that demands too much for too little reward.

Jan 1, 2022Довольно необычный опыт. Всё просто, минималистично, но притом дарит кучу эмоций. Мне понравилось, что игру можно пройти за пару часов. Сейчас не хватает таких проектов.

May 14, 2020The potential is there for a straight 10, but it does get a bit boring at times. However it is a great game about exploration, a pretty great ending to tie things up and at least one great puzzle with the rooms in the house changing (I believe it may be optional though). Definitely worth checking out both for fan of walking simulators and adventure games

Aug 21, 2020The story of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter was good. The atmosphere was really cool. It made me feel like a private detective. Actually, it's more like a "paranormal" detective game. If you like these kinds of games, you must give it a try. 3hrs on record.

Aug 10, 2020Beautiful masterpiece. This is the one in a million case, when astonishing graphics works together with creative mystic plot, combining each other.
-
Jun 30, 2020A stunningly beautiful walking simulator with some interesting puzzles and a good story.
-
Apr 26, 2020Superb story with some twists. Supernatural detective style.
Very good game in a row with Edith Finch and Gone Home.

Oct 28, 2015The Vanishing of Ethan Carter it's a lovely experience that enchants the player with its narrative, and landscapes. Even the sound is fitting in this smart game whose only real problem is the duration.

Games Master UKDec 21, 2014A gorgeously crafted experience that's cramped by the occasionally obtuse signposting. [Christmas 2014, p.68]

CD-ActionDec 13, 2014Some minor disappointments did not prevent me from soaking in the atmosphere worthy of Lovecraft’s horror stories. [Dec 2014, p.46]
