Apr 28, 2019Another walking simulator with a few easy puzzles thrown in with a lot of time consuming padding going from A to B to stretch out this game. Wow I went through all that initially interesting weird drama for the crappiest of crappy trope and cliché ending.

Mar 19, 2022The Vanishing of Ethan Carter lacks the proper amount of player's agency to compensate for its beautiful but ultimately boring sandbox that demands too much for too little reward.
-
Apr 11, 2016great graphics, great atmosphere, nice story, the game had me 100% but i really didnt like the end. if this game had more choices and be little more crime detective..

Jun 17, 2018Игра совершенно не впечатлила. Некоторые головоломки напрочь лишены смысла.

Oct 2, 2014I don't understand. How can you rate this 10. I would rate the environment and the graphics 9. But the game is too short, very simple and full of nothing. For me, it's just a waste of time and money.

Nov 29, 2014The landscapes are the best I ever seen in games. Characters and animations - some of the worst. I loved the story presentation and mechanics.
But when a veteran developers like the Astronauts releasing a game without proper auto-save feature - it's just stupid. I just can't get it. -
Oct 29, 2014Environment looks amazing, water and rocks on some places photo realistic, but humans are really bad.
This kind of puzzles puzzles are not for my taste, I prefer Resident Evil style. Story is so-so. Too bad there is no single animal in this nature. Atmosphere is big plus. -
Oct 23, 2014No doubt it's one of the best game in this year
Players will enjoy the audio & visual beauty of this game, but for how long???
Still it's a worthy game to play... -

Sep 26, 2014Yay, another walking simulator. On the plus side, it looks good at places. On the down side, it's a walking simulator. Not a video game. I played for about 2 hours. You don't get to make any choices, just walking and listening to the narrative. Save your money until it's on bundle or something, until that, read a book or play some video games.

Feb 13, 2015The game has a brilliant story and looks absolutely amazing. However it lacks a little substance in some parts of the game play, and the brilliant bits of the story are filled with a lifeless world and plenty of walking in between. Still worth a look, just could of been something truly great with a few more tweaks.

Nov 26, 2015Fantastic Graphic, but acceptable game play. Story is not really interesting. Very short story too. May it is just me, never really been a fan of this kind of game.

Apr 4, 2015Another in a long line of mostly non-interactive Unreal Engine walking games where nothing much happens. You have to solve a series of mostly illogical logic puzzles that piece together a back-story of how a little boy goes missing. Too vague for its own good, with no gameplay mechanics to speak of.

Jun 14, 2015Great ambiance, interesting puzzle mechanics (i'm almost willing to forgive how long it took me to find a certain object..) and captivating enough story.
A bit too much walking.
Worth trying for those interested in something different, but not for everybody and not that fascinating. -

Jun 9, 2016Stunning graphics, but not much more. Long and boring dialogues with poor character animations, rare and simple puzzles. No special meaning or message in the plot, though I expected to find some (or should I look better?). This game couldn't hold me for a complete walkthrough. Much worth seeing, but probably not really worth walking through.

Oct 3, 2018For me Ethan is a big disappointment. I didn't enjoy repetitive "chronology" puzzles and the story is quite dull. Mediocre title in it's genre.

Oct 3, 2022not my type of game.
at first sight it was pretty good and interesting but i just cant seet for a very long time and just walk in this game. story and quests are too rare. i didnt like gameplay and its not as much story as i want. also game is pretty old and visual is not good so walking is not only uninteresting also it is a little unbeautyfully -

Aug 21, 2020The story of The Vanishing of Ethan Carter was good. The atmosphere was really cool. It made me feel like a private detective. Actually, it's more like a "paranormal" detective game. If you like these kinds of games, you must give it a try. 3hrs on record.

Mar 22, 2022The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is a 2014 horror adventure video game developed and published by The Astronauts. The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is set in an open world environment, in which the player can roam around and explore at will; in its opening the game notes that it "does not hold [the player's] hand", and as such features very little by way of explanation to the mechanics.

Aug 15, 2023That's a gorgeous game with a nice narrative, but I came to realize that "walking simulatores" are not my thing. That being said, it seems like The Vanishing of Ethan Carter is a pretty good title for the genre.

Feb 5, 2023Complete snooze fest all in all. But the premise was somewhat interesting and the world was pretty. But just didn't personally find it very fun to play.

Oct 28, 2015The Vanishing of Ethan Carter it's a lovely experience that enchants the player with its narrative, and landscapes. Even the sound is fitting in this smart game whose only real problem is the duration.
