    This GAME is immersive and realistic but it is poorly optimized, lack of content, unbalanced , no campaign, Full multiplayer, bugs, disconnected matches.... A good but broken game! If the developers don't fix this this game flops in 1 month or less

    How did they miss this shot? tell me how is this possible to be a bad game? they just had to copy paste friday 13th yet they still missed the shot, it's not funny to be detected every attempt to escape on a match, 3 killers really? who thought this would be a good idea, the game is just fun for the killers playing as victim is absolutely terrible and not fun.

    Pretty fun once you're finally playing, but it feels like a bait-and-switch to offer the game for $39 and then require players to have or purchase Playstation+ in order to play it.

    The game is "nice", if you play it on the killer side, very easy to kill, I would say, unfair, you can just hit and hit and hit, only using stamina, but you should get a little cooldown wihen you hit, just like DBD.     All they had to do is recreate the Friday The 13th game with a Texas Chainsaw skin and spice things up, but they chose the small "arena" fish in a barrel style gameplay like DeadByDaylight. It sucks. Super basic. Cant do much. Escape options are not even canon. Like they couldn't think of cool stuff, so they threw 4 different types of gates and called it good, lol.     The only reason people are going crazy for the game is the aesthetics. Take that away and it is not good. They really missed here, and it's bumming me out. At least I got to play it off Gamepass so that's cool, because I would have been upset if I spent money on it.    … Expand

    Boring, repetitive, tedious. I think that's about all that can be said of this game. It makes players WANT to go back to Friday the 13th and Dead by Daylight.

    As with Evil Dead, Last Year, Predator Hunting Grounds, and Ghostbusters Spirits Unleashed, this game will be dead in a month.

    If you're desperate to try it, have Game Pass ready. Don't bother with buying it on Playstation.

    Needs a lot of work to get where it needs to be. At the moment it is a fun game to play and has incredibly tense moments on both sides, more so particularly on survivor. The ambition of the game is good and makes a refreshing change from the traditional 4v1, with unique gameplay mechanics which make for good variances in the gameplay. However, in its current state it is very imbalanced,Needs a lot of work to get where it needs to be. At the moment it is a fun game to play and has incredibly tense moments on both sides, more so particularly on survivor. The ambition of the game is good and makes a refreshing change from the traditional 4v1, with unique gameplay mechanics which make for good variances in the gameplay. However, in its current state it is very imbalanced, favouring the killers massively. But they have time to implement and balance these things as a starting point it is a refreshing addition to the asym horror genre and with some attention and updates it could be a great game.

    I think this game has a lot of potential and I am enjoying it quite a bit. I think it needs a few more characters and maps to round it out. I enjoy the customizability of your characters. I haven't run into many technical issues that people are talking about.     Gun media have done it again! The game is much more complex than Dead by Daylight or Friday the 13tht the game. The maps are large and complex you always have several ways to escape the map. And they are hard to learn. The 4 vs. 3 multiplayer has revitalized the genre and it's not just silly button holding at the generator. I'm curious what content the developers will come up with, but atGun media have done it again! The game is much more complex than Dead by Daylight or Friday the 13tht the game. The maps are large and complex you always have several ways to escape the map. And they are hard to learn. The 4 vs. 3 multiplayer has revitalized the genre and it's not just silly button holding at the generator. SO if you like this type of asymmetrical horror game this is one of the best and played with friend i think it’s the best so far, hope in the future they should add maybe a ranked mode or some type of rank because for the moment there is just the player level and the character lever progression.     Texas Chainsaw Massacre is more like Splinter Cell's Spies vs. Mercs than Friday the 13th or Dead by Daylight. The Exits are essentially the ND133s and I think that the 3v4 is a lot more inviting to the predator-based character and it's a nice change from what we've seen from the cat 'n' mouse genre in recent memory. The environment is gorgeous; like it was absorbed right out of theTexas Chainsaw Massacre is more like Splinter Cell's Spies vs. Mercs than Friday the 13th or Dead by Daylight.     If it was early access this be amazing. Or if it was free or game pass etc. But as a 35£€$ finished game it's not worth it. I love the brand and ive seen all the films. But this game has so little content. 3 maps with identical layouts and more server glitches than you could imagine. And one mode only and so many familiar ideas from other games. Graphically I was hoping for so muchIf it was early access this be amazing. Or if it was free or game pass etc. But as a 35£€$ finished game it's not worth it. I love the brand and ive seen all the films. But this game has so little content. 3 maps with identical layouts and more server glitches than you could imagine.     Lo malo: Un matchmaking muy malo. Pierdes mucho timepo en encontrar a todos los 7 jugadores. Espero que se solvente pronto.

    Getting sick of these Friday the 13th/DBD clones and we still have Killer Klowns to come. Its just an all around bad game, that was an obviously lazy cash in for the devs. These games based on horror films would be great as an action and/or survival horror, but instead we're spoon-fed this trash..

    Un juego bien pensado, ejecutado y con mucha dinámica al momento de explorar por cada rincón del mapa. Tiene su dificultad pero desde el primer día se disfruta demasiado. Esta es una excelente alternativa para quienes disfrutan de este tipo de juego. Vale la pena invertir ya que ofrece más dinámica, balance, buen Gameplay, terror, suspenso y emoción.

    A must play for fans of asym pvp.

    It's hard to make your own individual stamp on a niche multiplayer genre. So many studios have tried and failed in recent years but Texas is the first one to show real promise. Both sides are fun to play, games are quick and intense and each character is different enough to keep gameplay varied and fun.

    Game is amzing, free on xbox aswell. Very fun and defo worth the money and thunk its more fun than DBD due to the horror effect of the game and how the 3 killers work.

    A game really unlike any other, much scarier and exciting than the competition. A lot more versatile as well, it's one of those that you play for a couple of matches and when you check your watch again, four hours have gone by and you're already queing for another round. As this game grows over time, it's only bound to get better.

    Very fun game, especially with some friends.
    Also curious to see further updates on the game, and maybe some seasonal events.

    Also, people saying this game is repetitive basically never played a (multiplayer) game in their life. Because so many games have some sort of a repetitive pattern in their game.

    I have only played family at this point for 30 hours, so this is from that perspective. A fair number of hours more than many RPGs. I find the tug-of-war between securing objectives and victims slowly picking away at them to be very addicting.

    What I don't like is how the progression is monstrously slow. How easy it is to bully Leatherface. Sitting in a lobby forever because no one    I have only played family at this point for 30 hours, so this is from that perspective. A fair number of hours more than many RPGs. I find the tug-of-war between securing objectives and victims slowly picking away at them to be very addicting.

    What I don't like is how the progression is monstrously slow. How easy it is to bully Leatherface. Sitting in a lobby forever because no one wants to play Leatherface. Few maps. Johnny being weaker than everyone else unless he uses an animation glitch. How people can pick counter perks as they know which killers they are going against, like bringing bomb squad against hitchhiker- the killers should be invisible at lobby selection. There is no ping system, it should have one as most people do not use comms. Resetting a skill tree over and over to get the correct randomized perk is tedious.

    Some suggestions for this game would be that they give out xp boosts for perks, to keep people checking in on the game, much like how DBD throws out blood points to deal with its grindy progression. Pre-selection of two killers you would want to be before a match starts.

    It's a promising start, however, I'm looking forward to what comes next.    … Expand

    Thoughts-
    Boiled down to its raw gameplay, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre has some issues but provides a riveting experience when everything starts to click. The atmosphere and audio do well to convey the horror of the films, delivering brutal kills without going overboard with the blood and gore (though you’ll find plenty of it strewn about the environment).

    It’s unfortunately hamstrung by lackluster tutorials, no bots or practice, limited maps with all too similar gameplay flows, tedious respeccing when you don’t have enough characters leveled, odd design choices and bizarre crashes. It may become something special with time but must settle for being a competent stealth vs slasher experience rather than the next breakout horror multiplayer title.    … Expand

    It's fun for an hour or two then becomes repetitive, I think in a year this game will evolve and become a solid 9. The bones are there, it just needs more time in the oven.

    The game left a very good impression. I decided to watch the original movie before buying the game, and later buy the game and try it out. I did not regret buying the game, as the atmosphere and gameplay, if not completely, then almost perfectly fits with the original film.

I mean why dont the games follow DBD formula instead of trying to emulate eachother? First "Friday the 13th" then "Evil Dead" and now "The Texas Chainsaw Massacre" — these games don't last and we know it. The aren't sustainable and putting an 8 dollar paywall for executions that should've been in the game since start is greedy.

    -The graphics are decent.     Cons:

    -The balance is a bit off, Sissy can follow without pause and has insanely high stamina, whereas the cook almost collapses after running for 3 seconds and can't crouch or go through tight spaces. Connie can almost instantly unlock a door with her ability whereas without it, it takes about 40-50 seconds. It's insanely overpowered.

    -The game is not solo player friendly. Everything seems to have been designed in respect to being in a group with friends on the mic. Trying to play alone is difficult as other victims / killers will deliberatly / accidently sabotage the game by turning off exits or making noise.

    -There are only 3 maps (not including night/day). As good as the maps are, 3 maps isn't enough.

    -Upon reaching level 15 the exp has become an absolute grind.

    -You need Leatherface to start the game. This should at least be removed for private matches as in some cases nobody actually wants to play the character.    … Expand

    the game is REALLY funny, the balancement is generally good, I never experienced any op ability, the graphics are alright and on a rtx2060/i5 9th the game runs perfectly, I'm giving this game a 7 cuz of servers problems and finding a lobby seems a bit too hard for a game that came out 2 days ago, I don't know if it's cuz the game server sucks or if there is a lack of player but this is athe game is REALLY funny, the balancement is generally good, I never experienced any op ability, the graphics are alright and on a rtx2060/i5 9th the game runs perfectly, I'm giving this game a 7 cuz of servers problems and finding a lobby seems a bit too hard for a game that came out 2 days ago, I don't know if it's cuz the game server sucks or if there is a lack of player but this is a problem that needs to be resolved, the map are labyrinthic and that's a good thing, this give the survivor the possibility to run but it's really hard to learn the map, for now the game has only 3 maps and that's not a negative thing, for now, too many maps at launch would have made impossible for the player to learn how to move, this could all be resolved by adding a training mode were you can play with bot or just explore, Im also not really sure about the 3v4 mode, cuz if a player disconnect (something that happens a lot of time) it's really hard to play cuz you will always have a killer behind you, If your good enough you can bypass this but I'm afraid that at high level were people gets really good it will be really hard, I think that a 2v4 with slightly buffed killer would be better but I might change my mind, of course the developer needs to add more content or the game will die just as the other game of this genre, I'm still enjoying this and I hope the developer fix the problem.     Games like that or Outlast trials are very nice thing to play because of the movie vibes feeling which push you to making decisions, stupid one and also the live saving.     [ THIS GAME IS NEITHER F13 2 AND NEITHER DBD THIS WHY SOME PEOPLE ARE UPSET. ]

    The game is amazing with friends or alone, just pure fun. Only downsides I noticed are that for PC there is no Custom Keybinds and no way to turn off motion blurr.

    So, even though the gameplay loop can be a lot of fun, I worry about the longevity of this game's lifespan. With only three maps (that are all kind of similar) and the possibility of not getting much new content due to licensing issues between all of the other films in the franchise, the game might not be around for a long time. Let’s hope that isn’t the case.

    The Texas Chainsaw Massacre is a fantastic homage to the original film and really shines in its general presentation, but the gaming experience itself proves to be a frustrating one. Combine an increasingly toxic community and the prevalence of cheaters with a distinct lack of maps and variety and you have a game that may well struggle to succeed in competition with the many other titles in the asymmetrical horror genre. To paraphrase the tagline to the movie – will this game survive and what will be left of it?

    For those migrating away from Friday the 13th: The Game, The Texas Chain Saw Massacre could prove to be a welcome alternative. While this new multiplayer horror game certainly shows promise, my earliest hours with the family have been hindered by needless friction. It's occasionally thrilling, but often frustrating.
