The Sting! has bite! It's a hit. There may be some rough edges (blocky graphics, clunky camera, spastic movement), but the overall play and fun far outweigh such picky faultfinding.
-
GamePowerVisually, The Sting is downright gorgeous, similar in many respects to some of the animated cartoons run on Saturday morning TV.
-
Hugely compelling and damned addictive.
-
Even with these little mishaps, The Sting really was a refreshingly fun game for me to sink my teeth into.
-
Even with the questionable atmosphere and strange real-time/planning/movie setup, The Sting! does offer an enjoyable amount of tension and mental challenge as you creep around stores at night and run for cover when guards stroll by.
-
The game is mostly held back by its lack of interesting visuals and sound and sometimes difficult interface.
-
It does have a lot to do with crime and criminals, but without the suspense and comedy.
-
Offers entertaining and strategically larcenous gameplay with a fun sense of humor.
-
None of the facets of this release are particularly outstanding, and in particular you have to cope with the rather odd camera movement and the passivity of just watching when your actual caper is carried out.

DanielB.Apr 6, 2002What I love about this game is the cartoon style, very refreshing to see it in 3D. I love the make-a-plan before goin in approach!
