    An "adventure pack" similar to the legion of previous Sims expansions published over the years. The new quests are good enough and there's a decent bunch of other stuff to make it worth your while (and money) -- if you're into the sort of gameplay that The Sims Medieval offers. [Oct 2011]

    The Sims Medieval: Nobles & Pirates is a robust expansion with a new background, new quests and all the additions you would expect from a good upgrade pack. There's a problem anyway, the price is far too high.

    A typical expansion which adds new options and missions to the main game and is a good choice for series followers. Although it adds new content, it doesn't bring anything really new in graphics or gameplay mechanics, so those looking for new things to do should think twice.

    In short, if you liked The Sims Medieval, you're likely to find Pirates & Nobles pretty fun, too-as long as you keep in mind that it's an adventure pack, not an honest-to-goodness expansion. Hopefully, they'll iron out the bugs in upcoming patches, and maybe we'll eventually have the interactive swashbuckling action many of us were looking forward to. In the meantime, this quest pack will do.

    The strangeness of The Sims Medieval is still here, of course; the title is not-quite a strategy game, not-quite an RPG, not-quite The Sims. And fans of each of these different genres will still find the gameplay to be a bit odd. But for all its quirks, it's still extremely more-ish, and the Pirates and Nobles expansion just brings even more good stuff to the game.

    The Sims Medieval - Pirates and nobles is a standard adventure pack that doesn't add nothing really new to the game but just brings more hours to the linear, but fun, gameplay.

    EA has gotten much better over the years at making expansions that are worth the cost of entry but Pirates and Nobles doesn't fit the build.

    I know a mediocre expansion when I see one, and this is a truly mediocre expansion, one not worth your money. Hold off until the price comes down or EA releases some sort of The Sims Medieval Gold Edition.

As has been the case in the 2 billion sims expansions, they care only to release whatYet again, Maxis fails to deliver what their fans want. As has been the case in the 2 billion sims expansions, they care only to release what they feel you should have, rather than what people have been asking for. This is just more-of-the-same- there is no ability to customize your kingdom, no generational sims. This is like the Sims 3, minus all the stuff that made it almost entertaining. The new stuff added in the expansion is a joke - it's obvious this was stuff originally in the game taken out to allow it to be sold as an expansion - this isn't even worthy of being DLC, yet alone a full-priced expansion. EPIC FAIL maxis. Considering what could be done with this and the Sims, you continue to milk the cow instead of providing innovative and entertaining expansions. To sum it up, this expansion isn't even worth the cost of the bandwidth to connect to their website to read about it.… Full Review »
