    Life Stories was designed to be laptop-friendly, and it shows: I had no problem controlling the game entirely by keyboard, sans mouse, thanks to numerous shortcut keys. [Apr 2006, p.49]

    If you can live with the fact that there are no expansions aside from a minor collection of downloadable extras, and that, unless you’re somehow immune to the boredom which strikes after playing any instalment of The Sims for more than a week, it probably won’t last you very long, then Life Stories might make for a decent introduction to one of the most over-exposed series of all time.

    The perfect game for the non-gamer! The story driven chapters make it fun, entertaining and easy to play AND, you can play on your laptop.

And most things are able to be imported from your regular Sims 2 game, with a few exceptions, so it's a great way to get a Sims fix on the go!… Expand

    This game is great but there are some things wrong. Like when Aunt sharon gets kidnapped in Rileys story and she turns up like normal. Then This game is great but there are some things wrong. Like when Aunt sharon gets kidnapped in Rileys story and she turns up like normal. Then it say "An error has occured on Rileys story. We will have to go back to your default save." That really annoyed but it only deleted a day. Then it did it again because Mickey and agora wouldn't get married and that lost me two days of the game! Overall 9/10. I recomend this game to someone patience (no-one like me because I'm not patient).… Expand

What is the point? The games gives you two pre-made characters and a backstory to guide you through their lives. There are new shortcut keys for basic things like eating and answering the phone, but again, you couldn't click on those things before? The game does run well on a laptop, so the portability factor might be appealing to some. It just feels like Sims 2.1 or something, having interactions and objects from some of the expansion packs. This game might be fine for someone who cannot think of motivations for a Sim, but the rest of us can make up our own direction, thank you. Save your money for Sims 2:The Seasons.… Expand

Experienced simmers will likely fly through this and then go back to regular sims. Too expensive for what it is - at least in the UK. Only play this if for some reason you can't run the regular game on your pc and desperately needs a sims fix. Hopefully we'll see a story based expansion pack for the regular edition of the Sims, although it will have to contain substantially more gameplay than this very time limited offering.… Expand
