The Sims 3: Generations

In any case, it is once again entertaining to help the age-conformist and individually generated family to handle its virtual life.

Ultimately, your level of enjoyment depends on whether you define an expansion by its item catalog or by its gameplay mechanics.

With decent graphics, great sound effects and good old fashioned Sim gameplay with lots of new content, The Sims 3 just keeps getting better and better. Recommended to all lovers of the Sims!

The Sims 3: Generations is an expansion in keeping with the spirit of the series: through a number of additions spread over the whole experience, it enriches its scope providing a lot of new things to see and do.

Generations goes for the typical expansion suggested retail price of $39.99 and may be hit or miss for you, depending on what you like about The Sims 3 and whether you'd appreciate the more understated improvements of this expansion pack.

On its own Generations isn't going to do much for your experience, but in conjunction with everything else it just makes for a more interesting experience.

The newest add-on, unlike its predecessors, introduces new things in a well balanced way throughout the entire game. New emotions, new needs, new opportunities don't pile up on the gamer. On one hand it's a good thing that we don't get everything at once – exploring the game takes some time. But on the other hand some people might not like the fact, that it's all scattered… But that's not the purpose of Generations.

An expansion that certainly enriches the Sims experience, but not in a particularly impactful way.

The sims' social life finally get the overhaul they've been longing for. There no new burrough or new main feature, but there's plenty of golden nuggets strewn about in every corner of the game, all of which are well worth looking for.

The Sims 3: Generations is a fun romp which relies on the patient, persistent player to unlock its hidden treasures.

Although this add-on surely deserves attention from any fan of the franchise thanks to its enriched gameplay experience, some gamers might not find it worthy of a further investment.

The majority of the new features introduced in The Sims 3: Generations are enjoyable enough to fiddle with, but none of them are major game changers.

The new additions may be entertaining and well done, but this add-on is still far too expensive, if you don't really care a lot about your Sims and their fun.

Certainly there is a lot more here than is immediately evident, but the fact remains that this expansion's approach of adding spice as opposed to entirely new entrees is unlikely to excite all but the most dedicated Sims fans.

The Sims 3: Generations offers fun new features and objects to play with, but on the whole, it doesn't make much of an impression.

It's not the best of The Sims 3's expansions by a long shot, and compared to the other packs seems quite expensive for what it is -- but fans of the series will enjoy the deeper experience it offers.

Generations is, without a doubt, the second blandest expansion in The Sims franchise since The House Party.
