    I really like this game. Some puzzles are quite difficult, but not impossible. The atmosphere is awesome. The only problem I see it´s quite easy to finish this game (I needed only 3 hours to complete everything). But in general, I think is a really good game. And the story is crazy. I need to play the second part. And I hope the third part is gonna be for computers in the future.

    I just finished the first chapter and it's a really a great puzzle game!!! I got this game thinking it would be similar to an 'Escape Room' game. So far it has a similar concept: find clues in the area but instead of a room, you're unlocking a safe. This game is really really challenging and i look forward to finishing it! :) Also, with notes left behind by the previous owner/creator ofI just finished the first chapter and it's a really a great puzzle game!!!     Probably the best of the three due to the originality and comfiness. Two seemed a bit more lazy and three went a bit over the top.

Half of the puzzles solve on their own because when you solve one puzzle, you're often given an item that you immidiately know where to put. And then you're required to solve the puzzle that item revealed. And many puzzles are just... below any difficulty rating. Easy would be too much of a complement: braindead would fit much.... I have no comment for this game. This game is BRAINDEAD. Half of the puzzles solve on their own because when you solve one puzzle, you're often given an item that you immidiately know where to put. And then you're required to solve the puzzle that item revealed. And many puzzles are just... below any difficulty rating. Easy would be too much of a complement: braindead would fit much more. The puzzles' quality is that of a free flash game on Newgrounds. It would be acceptable for a time killing game like those flash games, but completely unacceptable for a price higher than 2 dollars/euro. Don't like solving puzzles? This one's for you! Like solving puzzles? Then don't touch it, it doesn't require any solving most of the time, only facepalming at how trivial the puzzles are. This one's the worst puzzle game I've ever played.… Expand

    Great puzzle game that takes about ~3hours to complete. Has a nice, slightly creepy atmosphere and great sound that will drag you in. The puzzles are fun to complete and the story is interesting as well.

    A masterpiece ! It seems like the PC version is so underrated. Not only one of the best puzzle games I've ever played, it also has solid story. Everything about this is so elite and stylish and geniusly creative. The design is both simple and minimalist but also very rich in content. Also, deep inside, it has a solid horror aspect in it, which leaves you with so many unanswered questions.A masterpiece ! It seems like the PC version is so underrated.     the graphics was interesting but puzzles were lousy. there was almost no need for using one's brain, you just had to find things around the place and the puzzles would be solved by themselves. the ending was the worst part!     The Room is an amazing little puzzle game, perfect way to spend 2 hours for the cost of almost nothing.

    Escape Room at it's finest. If you enjoy puzzle solving that involves attention to detail and trying to click on everything, this game is that. Atmosphere is somewhat similar to Harry Potter universe. Graphically and design wise it is really well polished. It engaged my wife (she is not a gamer) to play it and now we are looking to go    The Room | 2014 | PC | Played for: 3,6h

    If you enjoy puzzle solving that involves attention to detail and trying to click on everything, this game is that. Atmosphere is somewhat similar to Harry Potter universe.
    Graphically and design wise it is really well polished.

    It engaged my wife (she is not a gamer) to play it and now we are looking to go through all the series (VR included).

    Story: 8,5/10
    Gameplay: 9,5/10
    Graphics/Physics: 9,75/10
    Music/Sound: 9/10

    It really gets everything right: graphics, ambiance, story, difficulty and atmosphere.
    The puzzles themselves are logical and just challenging enough. The game's aesthetics are quite pleasing as well.     I didn't expect that I would like this, but it is. The essence of the game in opening cleverly made chests with all sorts of mechanical actions. Turn the mirror, see the order of the symbols in it, put these symbols on the board behind, etc. Game also has almost perfect difficulty. It won't be solved easy, but you also won't get stuck for hours. Everything is quite logical and it's great.I didn't expect that I would like this, but it is.     Worth the 5 bucks.

    The game is a well executed puzzler with nice graphics and intuitive challenges. All in all I spent some 6 hours on it, raw maybe some 4. The puzzles aren't really mind-boggling so it doesn't really need any hints to get further - as said, quite intuitive. The only issue is with the last puzzle really where there is a bug, or maybe it's intentionally that a gem    Worth the 5 bucks.

    The Room is a fun little puzzle box game you can knock out in 2 to 4 hours depending on how much you rely on the hints system. I didn't use the hints and it took me less than 4 hours. The puzzles themselves are pretty basic so if you play a lot of puzzle games you might not find it that challenging. Catch it on sale and finish it off in one sitting.

    Not a room but a handful of safe boxes. A hidden object game with a few simple puzzles. The presentation is good and the game works, despite being obviously made for telephones.

    A very linear hidden object/puzzle game. It looks nice but there isn't anything else going on. 5/5 achievements in 2-4 hours.

    A beautiful, well-designed puzzle game, where in each level you have to open an intricate box, solving several puzzles and locks to get past their various mechanisms. The game is short, but the length is perfect imo, with anything longer likely to drag on. Very satisfying puzzles, some of them requiring some braining but none prohibitively difficult.

    An okay puzzlegame, if you can call it that. The challenge is more about finding small hidden details rather than actually solving puzzles. Cool visuals though.

    It costs like 1.2 EUR nowadays so it's definitely worth the money.

    It feels so satisfying to see small pieces fit perfectly and watch open unnecessarily complicated mechanisms. It's not a long game but it's pretty good.

    The Graphics May look a bit old, and the story only makes sense if you play the other games, However, it is one of the best puzzle games out there. The actual challenges are not difficult but are really rewarding.

    I played this on my iPad back when it was released and I just replayed it, and all I can say is, that it's an amazing puzzle game. The game's atmosphere is phenomenon, the combination of the environment's lighting and music makes it feel pretty dark. Lastly, the story is simple yet unbelievably good for a game of this caliber.

    Игра буквально как матрешка состоит из головоломок. Повествование сюжета идет через письма от лица учёного, ждать глубочайшего сюжета не приходится, но подоплека для всех этих головоломок есть. Всё это сопровождается атмосферной музыкой и различными звуками(тиканье часов, щелканье механизмов). Сами механизмы выполнены с красивыми анимациями. Головоломки довольно таки разнообразные: отИгра буквально как матрешка состоит из головоломок. Повествование сюжета идет через письма от лица учёного, ждать глубочайшего сюжета не приходится, но подоплека для всех этих головоломок есть. Всё это сопровождается атмосферной музыкой и различными звуками(тиканье часов, щелканье механизмов). Сами механизмы выполнены с красивыми анимациями. Головоломки довольно таки разнообразные: от запоминания различных комбинаций до собирания картинки под нужным углом. В игре присутствуют система подсказок, часть из них просто бесполезные(к примеру мы нашли ключ, а в подсказке написано что-то в духе "Где-то этот ключ можно использовать"), но если ты долго не можешь решить головоломку, то игра начинает давать всё более весомые наводки.
    Плюсы:
    1. Невероятная атмосфера;
    2. Затягивающий геймплей;
    3. Интересные головоломки;
    4. Приятная 3D графика;
    Минусы:
    1. Очень быстро проходится;
    В целом игра хорошая, если вам нравится жанр головоломок - рекомендую поиграть.    … Expand

    "Another stupid tablet game, which is being sold dirt cheap, and it will not entertain more than for an afternoon. It has definitely bad controls, it looks horrible and it is completely about nothing." After hearing we review the originally mobile game conversion, you might have responded in the similar fashion. I do not blame you, but it is all about the prejudices getting stronger because of the bad mobile games' reputation. But there is little to no truth in that statement. As a matter of fact, The Room is a game with surprising depth, it looks great, and with ease it rolls over many classic adventure games or independent pieces contemplating about the meaning of life.

    While the storyline is a bit lackluster, The Room still manages to be a polished and intriguing experience. The puzzles are mostly fun to solve and the enhancements for PC version ensure that the game looks, sounds and plays great. [Sept 2014]

    While it's to The Room's credit that the graphics and sound design remain impressive with the transition to PC, and able to compete against other PC titles, the gameplay does not, and without a compelling story the experience ends up being sadly forgettable.
