Jan 17, 2021The organ ball drop thing absolutely blows (the center one). Couldn't pass without a walkthrough. Also, not able to leave reviews on the oculus store, so here ya go.

Dec 2, 2020PROS:
- Superb atmosphere & great graphics
- Lots and varied puzzles with a hint system you may use
- Very funny to play
CONS:
- You can't walk but as the game is thought to play this way you don't need to
- A bit short (i really hope they a second part is coming)
NOTE: played on Oculus Quest -
Feb 8, 2021Incredibly polished and just the right length to keep me wanting more. Made me feel super smart even though the only reason I could finish the game was due to the fantastic art direction, sound and game design.

Apr 6, 2020A great game with nice atmosphere, great puzzles and very engaging mechanics with intuitive visual cues. Its like being in a real room escape. The only "negative" is that you're all alone doing the game, not with a group of people like on a real room escape.
It could be a bit longer and have more variety or different difficulties, but really, its the best VR game of this type.
An 8 from me. -
Oct 11, 2021A slight minus compared to the latest non-VR entry would be that it doesn't have numerous endings.
Still, it's a fantastic experience - atmospheric, makes good use of VR controls, and brainwrecking. Highly recommended. -
Jun 9, 2022This game has amazing atmosphere, even when playing in VR, you're still getting that feeling of something watching you at all time, just this time it's 3D.

May 18, 2020While lighter on adventure elements than earlier games in the series, the gameplay is as innovative and fun as ever (with one or two exceptions), and the story of The Craftsman is advanced in an interesting way. If you have the proper hardware and enjoy puzzles, The Room VR is a must-have for your collection.

May 14, 2020The Room VR: A Dark Matter is great. It’s got plenty of unique puzzles, which never felt overused once, and has some very creative environments. It also has a deeply mysterious story, which was designed in the same vein as the original mobile games in the series. Consequently, in the same vein as those, it didn’t feel like it was a completely new and authentic VR experience. The developers didn’t utilise all that VR is capable of, which is a real bummer for what this title could have ultimately been.

May 8, 2020As well designed as the game is though, its also very short. Only a few short hours in and the game will be over. With little in the way of replay value since you'll already know how to solve all the puzzles, there's not a ton of long term value here. While it lasted I really enjoyed The Room VR: A Dark Matter but it ultimately left me wanting more. More environments, more movement options, more story. For the right price, I definitely recommend experiencing it but what I'm really looking forward to is a follow-up, to see if a great start can be grown into a truly great game.
