Humorous and unpolitically-correct point and click adventure.
Very unusual and beautiful graphic for a videogame: Backgrounds , sprites and some puzzle are based on renaissance art.
Most of the jokes are of British humour ...so to appreciate it you have to get along that kind of comedy. It's the kind of game that you will play for jokes, originality and visuals ..not for enigmas... so

I din't play the first game from the same developer so I can't compare.
    Cons:
It's short ....you can finish it it in just one afternoon but it also have a the same price of a dvd so it seems fair

Short but very funny and charming. I'd rate it higher if it were a longer game, but for what it is, it's great. Very funny writing, would recommend.

It's shockingly short (2.5 hours) and ended just as it was starting to get interesting. The graphics certainly scream "Python-esque" but the humor definitely does not. I think I chuckled once during the entire game. For example, in one scene there's two nude men wrestling on a dock for some reason. Click on them and your character says "It's two nude men wrestling". Try to talk or interact with them in any way and she says "I don't need to do that". And that's it. There's no joke here, no point, and no humor. And that's the game. Expand

A brilliant Monty Python style point and click adventure with plenty of dark laugh-out-loud humour. The puzzles are both good and logical only sending me, head in shame, to a walkthrough twice. A real gem of a game and although short, it is beautifully sweet.

Don’t let the art style discourage you. It’s a funny point and click adventure made by one guy. There’s a lot of jokes and some 4th wall breaks. Free on gamepass, definitely worth a shot.

Ps. This game have some religious stuff, so don’t play if you are offended by religious jokes.

This game is a lot longer but slightly worse than the first game i. e. "Four Last Things" IMO, but it's still worth playing solely for the humor, style and soundtrack. I hope the developer will make more games like this.

The Procession to Calvary (TPTC) is an excellent and refreshing game that I heard about through a famous YouTuber. Its unusual take on pretty much every aspect of a game hooked me immediately.

The visuals of TPTC are striking due to the obvious use of medieval paintings cleverly animated ala Harry Potter-style. This genius approach allows for both unique and humorous effects that wouldn't have been as well executed with traditional realistic graphics. It's also a very ingenious way to circumvent the lack of funding indie games suffer, which in turn raises a question of whether indie games are better off with lower budgets.

The gameplay of TPTC feels a bit more familiar as it is base on a point-and-click style. You have to explore your environment manually and converse with people you meet to figure out how to move the game forward.

There were a handful of occasions where I looked up the next step online as it became a bit more obtuse, but overall it was very enjoyable and fun to explore and hear the humorous dialogue that ranged from vulgar to hilarious lunacy.

Some might lament that the game is rather short. It definitely is short, but to me that's a positive thing that prevents repetition and the game becoming stale, since it's not meant to be taken very seriously.

The story of the game is borderline nonsense designed to be funny, which it fortunately does very well. Your character is looking for any excuse to murder and will do whatever it takes to get there, with the charming yet funny adventure that ensues. I really enjoyed the random insanity that would come out of people's mouths and the bizarre situations you find yourself in.

Overall, TPTC is a unique, hilarious and refreshing indie game that may not be everyone's cup of tea, but made for an excellent evening of vintage entertainment for me thanks to Game Pass, so I'm happy for once.

The Procession to Calvary is a beautiful game full of absurdities and typical British humor, with whose sovereign qualities we fell in love thanks to Monty Python. [Issue#303]

This crazy, creative little game is worth praising for its originality and worth damning for its stupid story. The only way you’ll love this is if the author’s humour exactly matches your own.

For the most part the puzzles are well-pitched, with clues subtly seeded into the dialogue. [Issue#347, p.106]
