Sep 10, 2023I'd love the game. Extensive story line, dialogue options and ramifications.

Sep 8, 2023Finally got around to playing this game. forgot it even came out. to be straight to the point. its a simple game that borrows fallout mechanics. story nothing to get excited about. no romance, no side missions that will really standout. its just a simple easy going game that you really dont need to pay to much attention to. i hope the second one has more to it.

Aug 23, 2023Pirated this, played it for two hours and deleted it.
The worst dialogue I've seen since Mass Effect Andromeda. No idea how it has so many positive reviews. -

Jun 24, 2023The masters of Western RPG dialogue options never miss. If you prefer quality story and character choices over gameplay, these developers are for you. And if you like this game, play their other masterpiece, Fallout New Vegas.

Jun 15, 2023Pas de doublage français. ça casse l'immersion. C'est décevant ! surtout à ce prix

May 22, 2023It's fine for a FPSRPG. It's not New Vegas 2, it's a New Vegas Clone. Playing the game seems more like a bigger version of Bioshock. The game is pretty easy if you're an RPG expert, survival mode is probably a better challenge. And It gets better when you leave the first environment.

Mar 19, 2023Fallout: NV was able to acquire a fairly huge fan base and of course after such a breakthrough product of its time, many expected The Outer Worlds as a Bethesda-like RPG killer as a maximum or a brand new and unique Fallout universe competitor as a minimum. But Obsidian did neither.

Mar 18, 2023If you love the old first two Fallout games and Fallout:Vegas this game is for you. Brilliant dialog writing which made me often burst out into laughter. Get it, play it!
-
Mar 14, 2023No interesting story and characters, long time to beat, easy to play even with the first-run hard difficulty.
-
Mar 9, 2023Loved it , bad optimisation on pc indeed, but beautiful world and story , the choices we make doesn’t have lot of different consequences , expect the radical ones but the game have a strong identity and pleasant to discover and play

Feb 15, 2023Amazing game, very entertaining. The possibilities are endless, I don't know how they have included so much content in the game with so much variation in dialogues and events. The cartooni graphics is kinda interesting as well and the world is very colorful which I really prefer to a grey world like fallout's. Totally worth spending time in it.

Nov 3, 2022Very ugly game. The mission structures and sense of freedom are quality and drew me in for a while, but the world and characters are ugly in every sense, in an obviously intentional anti-aesthetic design choice. This game wasn't designed to be gratifying to normal players; that much is clear.

Sep 4, 2022Good game to play. Suitable for Fallout fans. The impression was spoiled by a small variety of weapons and armor, as well as unjustified SJW characters. Solid 6/10.
-
Sep 2, 2022Astounding game which shows that Obsidian is still rock-solid when it comes to writing, atmosphere, and an all-around delightful experience when it comes to a campaign.

Nov 16, 2020The problem with this isn't that it is a bad game (far from it), but the fact that it failed to reach its true potential… or maybe the expectations were simply too high, because there's nothing here that anyone can point to and say that it is terrible. Sadly, there's almost nothing that's great either, apart from the role-playing element and the quality of writing. The gunplay? Ok. The exploration? Decent. The plot? Fine. The dominant feeling here is of a game that is good enough so that you won't hate it, but also not as good for it to be the flawless classic that it could definitely be - but again, that's probably those darn high expectations speaking, because flaws or no flaws, The Outer Worlds shouldn't be missing from any RPG collection.

Dec 9, 2019An excellent effort from Obsidian, and though The Outer Worlds doesn’t surpass its predecessors by offering a world worth visiting over and over, the adventure it presents is more than worth the time spent.

Game World Navigator MagazineDec 6, 2019Usually, a planet has just one or two settlements and a bit of wildlands to explore. But that’s for the best – instead of exploring miles of filler content, Outer Worlds keeps you moving from planet to planet, from one tense situation to another. [Issue#241, p.34]
