    The Necromancer’s Tale is a promising, well-written RPG with a fleshed-out trust system and rich characters, but simplistic, clunky combat hinders the game a bit.

    The Necromancer’s Tale provides a different CRPG experience that focuses on the detective aspects. It’s a good twist on the genre but it may not be for everyone. Other than the gameplay, nothing stands out but it’s great if you want a different experience.

    The Necromancer’s Tale is a dark, narrative experience that leans into atmosphere and story over instant gratification. Its slow pace and layered systems won’t appeal to everyone, but for those willing to be patient, it offers a world that feels menacing, tense, and strangely intimate. It stumbles now and then, yet it in its best moments, it evokes a sense of power that becomes dangerously addicting.

    It takes a minute to finally start cooking. But once The Necromancer’s Tale throws a little gasoline on the fire, it’s smooth sailing from that point forward. If you’ve been searching for a dark, gritty, and sometimes disgusting RPG to engross yourself in, you can’t go wrong with this one. It’s beautifully done, with a fantastic visual style, great audio, and some of the best writing in recent memory. [Highly Recommended]
