    Um jogo muito bom, traz de volta o estilo dos games clássicos como Silent Hill e Resident Evil, ambientação de dar inveja para muitos games AAA, uma trilha sonora quase que impecável feita junto de Akira Yamaoka que da sentir todo seu estilo musical e sonoro no jogo. Não tive problemas jogando no PC, só gostaria de uma opção de selecionar os capítulos depois de terminar o game.     A really nice game that harkens back to old school horror games of the 90s. I genuinely liked the story and appreciate that it doesn't rely on cheap jumpscares but is rather suspenseful and creepy.

    It may have some technical drawbacks but I will happily recommend it to anyone interested in it.

    The game seems to be a combination of resident evil and silent hill. It has fun puzzles and is visually beautiful. I find that it runs better if you lock the framerate. The acting is good as well. The fixed camera angle starts off weird but you get used to it.

    Hearkens back to the 3rd person horror of the late 90s-early 2000s (like Silent Hill 1/2/3/4) but The Medium also manages to find it's own niche and is successful in doing so.

It is absolutely phenomenal, I couldn't pull myself away simply because I wanted to find out more about this world and characters. It develops at a nice pace and ends with one of the most emotional last 30 minutes of a video game that I played in a while. It left me feeling shocked and exited for everything that happened withing those last minutes. It is storytelling at it's best. You feel the characters and their emotions, you feel what they've gone through. The music greatly complements the story and action. The performance from the voice actors and music artists is really good as well. They help the game feel more real and emotional. The gameplay is almost 99% exploration and that's fine by me, because you slowly piece everything together on your own. It also doesn't fell dull at any moment. I didn't exactly love the "escape from the monster" sequences but it had it's place in a story. Everything else gameplay wise was just great. Overall an amazing game and an emotional experience. I highly recommend it especially if you have Game Pass. Check it out, the game has some nice horror elements and its extremally interesting.… Expand

    Pros: Es maravilloso el jugar en ambos mundos simultáneos. tiene unos escenarios muy bonitos y que te sumergen al lugar. La banda sonora es muy buena. Gratis con gamepass o por 40€
    Contras: Lógicamente tiene unos pero... Requiere un ordenador potente, ya que debe de reproducir 2 juegos simultáneos (No es un contra,    Un increíble juego con una grandísima narrativa. Ojo, no es de terror.

    Me ha gustado mucho el juego, lo tengo en el Game Pass y aunque es cierto que requiere optimización a fecha de hoy porque a veces se caen los fps, el juego está muy cuidado, la ambientación es fantástica, los gráficos se ven de miedo. Para mi es de 8, aunque el doy 9 por aquellos que le han puesto 0 sin haberlo olido siquiera, tónica habitual de esta página.

    Juego de notable alto, para mi gusto, gran sonido que te envuelve, una jugabilidad clasica, y una muy buena historia, buenos graficos, quizas se ha hechado en falta el doblaje al castellano, pero en general la verdad es que me ha sorprendido, no me esperaba un juego tan bueno.

    Awesome game. The optimization terrible. I have a pretty powerful PC, but i had to play with medium settings and still couldn't make that 60 FPS. But the story and game-play worth it. Love it. I wouldn't mind if it's over and won't be a sequel or DLC, but please keep develop games like this. :)

    Me surpreendeu! Confesso que não esperava muito do game, mas ao dar play, adentrei a atmosfera e PQP. O jogo me fisgou. Minha placa de vídeo (GTX1070), sofreu um pouco para dar conta, por isso eu acho que a empresa precisa focar bastante no polimento dos próximos jogos, para que isso, não seja um motivo par afastar novos jogadores.     Best Xbox - Pc exclusive so far. Beautiful and unique, immersive, great atmosphere , visuals, voice acting and story. Performance and character animation could be a little better but I think that Bllober team will take care of these things in the sequel...

    Great job from a small studio.. keep up the good work!

    The game sets a very creepy tone from the start. This isn’t your usual combat horror game. This takes you on a journey that is filled with scares and interesting characters. A very story driven game that I loved from start to finish.

    This game is fantastic. Amazing story, amazing characters, amazing puzzles, and an amazing atmosphere. This is a must buy. Don't listen to the negative reviews because most of them are just people who want to review bomb an Xbox game. They never played it clearly.

    A atmosfera de The Medium é muito boa e os cenários do jogo são bem bonitos, gostei bastante da ideia de ter dois mundos renderizados ao mesmo tempo. O jogo tem momentos bem pesados, então é bom estar bem preparado psicologicamente.

La musique est excellente, suffit de voir le nom du compositeur... le gameplay est dans les standard du genre mais le coté 2 monde en même temps je trouve ça excellent. Graphiquement c'est pas mal sachant que le studio comptait qu'une vingtaine de membres et avec un tout petit budget. The mystery and the beauty of the locations you travel mixes perfectly. This is not a AAA game, but definitely, it is art.
    In the beginning, it was strange to learn the controller and camera not moving (it is like in Alone in the Dark). And after some time you find it very suitable as you have this old-school gameplay feeling. And it fits so well to the time the story is set (the 90s).
    Duplicate scenes give a wow effect. When you move and see those parallel words so different then you just stare and spend time just looking at it and comparing details.
    I do not give 10 for little details like missing shadows of the protagonist in some scenes. Black bars on a widescreen monitor.
    Good thing is that the game runs smoothly on the average 3-year-old PC that I have. In 3k 60fps RTX. You definitely have to play it with headphones:)    … Expand

    Świetna gra, ogólnie wolę nieco inne horrory ale sumując wszystko wypada tutaj bardzo dobrze. Minus bym dał za mieszanie języka PL i ENG na napisach, po co tak??????? Toż to bzdura. No i dubbing w PL by się przydał, nawet jakby gra była nieco droższa w PL. Co do działania nie narzekam ale mam mocnego PC. Dałbym 10, ale przez te napisy daję 9.

    Onestamente penso sia un gioco molto emozionante. La trama è interessante e il gameplay è ingegnoso e ricco di dettagli riguardanti le caratteristiche e lo storico dei personaggi. Graficamente gradevole, anche se a volte si presentano cali di frame-rate e sfarfallio di qualche texture. Complessivamente gioco più che discreto

    Pretty nice game. Great atmosphere and classic old camera from the survival horror games of PlayStation 1. If you are looking for an action game killing enemies all the time avoid it. If you are looking for psychological horror and good story you should try it definitely.

    The Medium es un juego que pese a su mala optimización (entendible por el presupuesto de un estudio pequeño) y escasos puzzles, logra generar intriga a lo largo de la historia, sin mencionar el gran trabajo de quienes dieron vida a los personajes de la misma con la actuación de voz. Controles tanque, fixed camera, el OST y los paisajes ominosos hacen que uno se sienta jugando a los juegosThe Medium es un juego que pese a su mala optimización (entendible por el presupuesto de un estudio pequeño) y escasos puzzles, logra generar intriga a lo largo de la historia, sin mencionar el gran trabajo de quienes dieron vida a los personajes de la misma con la actuación de voz. Controles tanque, fixed camera, el OST y los paisajes ominosos hacen que uno se sienta jugando a los juegos de terror clásicos (aquí el factor nostalgia) que recurrieron a estos elementos por las limitaciones tecnológicas de su época, sin embargo, al tratarse más de una una aventura gráfica, su manera de cautivar al jugador cae bastante en el plot, teniendo constantes giros argumentales que, si bien algunos son cliché, no son tan predecibles.


    En estos tiempos en que ya los juegos de suspenso/terror no son tan populares, este es una buena propuesta para pasar el rato (NO ES UN SILENT HILL, FANBOYS XBOXERS Y SONYERS).

    Tiempo de juego: He tardado al menos 10 horas desde mi primer juego tratando de sacar todos los logros sin guía y me faltan todavía. No hagan caso a los niñatos que dicen que sólo dura 5 horas el juego (dudo tengan todos los logros en el primer run). Eso tardarías en un run sabiéndo perfecto el juego y sin trabarse.    … Expand

Y puedo decir que unos de los motivos por los cuales ahora quise intentar iniciarme con Xbox fue por este juego.. y vaya que no me decepciono , su ambientación, su historia, su banda sonora y sobre todo su original jugabilidad me hicieron adicto a este juego. Soy fan de los survival horror de la vieja escuela así que para mi TheHe sido usuario de Sony y Nintendo desde hace muchos años . Y puedo decir que unos de los motivos por los cuales ahora quise intentar iniciarme con Xbox fue por este juego.. y vaya que no me decepciono , su ambientación, su historia, su banda sonora y sobre todo su original jugabilidad me hicieron adicto a este juego.     Good game with a good story. Wish there was some kind of fighting mechanic with a variety of different entities to fight. That would have made the game a lot better. Maybe next time.

    Но речь идет не только о страшных вещах, но и о том, как команда разработчиков Bloober представляет их и справляется с ними. Сравнения с Silent Hill следуют за польской студией с момента ее дебюта, Layers of Fear, и их еще труднее поколебать в The Medium. Заброшенный курортный комплекс «Нива» (Niwa) не окутан туманом, но подход команды Bloober к ужасу обусловлен атмосферой, напряжением и тревожным саундтреком. Да, и фиксированные ракурсы.

Всякий раз, когда вы сталкиваетесь с миром духов, экран разделяется надвое, горизонтально или вертикально, и Марианна движется в обоих мирах одновременно.     A good story, an art direction to highlight, great soundtrack and some mechanics / puzzles to accompany you in the discovery of the story that without being outstanding work to not make you heavy the 7 hours. Best of all, a solid ending unusual in the horror genre.

    This is a game CLEARLY made with passion and love. The story is awesome. The writing and voice acting is wonderful. The implementation of the protagonist's "split" is super rad. Seriously, the way you simultaneously interact with two different worlds is refreshingly unique. The most I experienced was a bit of texture pop-in here and there, and occasional very short-lived freezing/desync at the beginning of a few cutscenes (possibly due to background loading).    … Expand

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. Was hooked all the way through... which is unusual for me in alot of games... rarely find myself up all night playing something anymore.... Loses one point or that freaking ending though... I hate that ambiguous type ending...

    People thinking marianne killed herself doesnt make a lick of sense. Lily specifically says that the demons existence is tied to lilies lifeforce.. She couldnt kil herself because the demon would stop her... and lily HAS no opportunity at a normal life, her life is over, its been bitter and sad, and even if somehow marianne killing herself magically stops the demon(which it had no problem persisting, killing everything alive before she showed up, for decades, it only needs mari to essentially switch to a more sturdy host) Who would honestly think lily would just happily go on after watching her sister blow her brains out, and losing the only thing left she had that could in her own words "end this"... the reason the demon kept saying "It all ends in me", and lily repeats that in the end is because the demon is an extension of her, its a corrupted part of her soul torn from her and set free... i just needed to clear that up, because people keep saying its likely mari killed herself, so lily can go on having a life she never had like mari... LOL mari's life wasnt great, was it as bad as lilies? no but not great by a longshot...she lives with death, day in and day out... she suffers from burns over 45% of her body(although never seen), and wrestled with a past she didnt understand or know of at all... I'd say neither of these girls would go on just living out normal "happy" lives... Lol thats just a ridiculous assumption... mari could actually cease someones existence, and erase their soul essentially... Its why she was so important in the plot to destroy the demon... Erasing lilies soul would erase that corrupted extension that was terrorizing everything... Mari killing herself... it just turns into the long drawn out method, Lily has to wait till she expires naturally for The Maw to be stopped... and its possible the maw could still exist WITH lilies soul still around, because mari's skill is to Move souls on, just like she does the entire game, essentially erasing their existence... and whos to say the maw doesnt draw out another medium to the property and still getting its brand spanking new fly ass skinsuit... Lily Had to die, even if it wasnt what mari wnated... In a way, that could still be considered saving lily... mari's skill would ensure she didnt linger even after death with the Maw, and that lilies suffering would finally end.. I bought it and I was amaze by the gameplay and graphics. I am a FPS lover, but this game wow, took me out of my comfort zone. The caracters are endearing, story was good.

    Me ha gustado mucho el juego, lo tengo en el Game Pass y aunque es cierto que requiere optimización a fecha de hoy porque a veces se caen los fps, el juego está muy cuidado, la ambientación es fantástica, los gráficos se ven de miedo. Para mi es de 8, aunque el doy 9 por aquellos que le han puesto 0 sin haberlo olido siquiera, tónica habitual de esta página.

    Main character is very charismatic and I liked her.
    What I didn't like about this game is camera. Yes, it is unique, and I liked it at very beginning, but later in the game it started to be annoying. Whole camera system is interesting for sure, but it also creates situations where character is difficult to control and you may find yourself kind of lost sometimes. Standard camera system simply provides better overview.
    When it comes to general gameplay, I am not impressed. It was little too hollow I would say.
    I like puzzle elements in games, but not too much in this one. Some people may be ok with them, but I found them little boring or annoying in general.

    Pros:

No es la historia más original jamásSin duda, The Medium es un muy buen juego. La base de la jugabilidad es un poco walking simulator, donde ir paseando por los escenarios encontrando información y trama, y resolviendo puzzles sencillos. Ocasionalmente añade alguna cosa más pero son momentos puntuales. Por ello, el núcleo de la experiencia se centra en la historia que nos están contando. No es la historia más original jamás contada, pero sin duda está excelentemente narrada que al final es lo que importa (a estas alturas, nadie va a reinventar la rueda). Los personajes están muy bien llevados, consigue rápido que conectes y empatices con ellos, que te impliques en lo que esté pasando y trates de ir entendiendo la historia a base de todas las piezas que vas recolectando a medida que avanzas. Esto crea una muy buena sensación de misterio sobrenatural y es que no es un juego de miedo o terror aunque lo pueda parecer, es un juego de horror. Puede parecer un survival horror clásico con sus cámaras fijas y esas cosas, pero esa impresión no dura mucho una vez el juego se pone en marcha.

    La puesta en escena está muy bien hecha, con un mundo real que es muy creíble y tiene multitud de detalles, compaginado con un mundo alternativo con un diseño mucho más bizarro y demente pero que funciona fantástico. Y funciona especialmente bien en los momentos en que ambos mundos interactuan, con sus puestas en escena tan distintas complementándose la una a la otra. El sonido es espectacular. Aunque no tiene demasiada música, funciona muy bien cuando está presente, y tanto los efectos de sonido como (especialmente) el doblaje son excelentes. Como pega, eso si, tiene algunos problemas de optimizado que hace que tire más de máquina de lo que debería, y cuando lo puse en DX12 (que mi ordenador mueve sin fallo) dio multitud de problemas, cuelgues y salidas a escritorio, y tuve que volver a ponerlo en DX11 para que fuese jugable.

    Por todo ello, sin duda, The Medium es un juego extremadamente recomendable. Un 8,5.    … Expand

    This game is not a horor game, but more a thriller. The only time I got scared was at the begining at the game. I would recommended this game to you if you like a good thriller. It has alot of good puzzles. The graphics is also good and it has some really good scenes .

    The level design of this game is just next level. The idea of being able to play two different worlds at the same is splendid. II really wish it could be improved a little on the gameplay part. I am fine with the game having no combat but the gameplay after sometimes starts to feel a little slow. And some animation work could improve as well. Still worth playing!!! it's on gamepass.

    It is a good game, it is not a silent hill, but without a doubt it is an interesting job, and more with the dual screen, it is something that surprised me a lot, I only had a small problem when enabling HDR + RT on PC, the frames dropped a lot from +60 to -40 fps, but I imagine that in some patch that will be solved.

    The story revolves around a mystery that really caught me and made me beat the game in two long sittings wish that It was longer but it was just fine, the story had it time to develop and go through all the steps resulting in a rewarding and surprising end.

    Another thing that blew me off was the gameplay and the camera techniques the split-screen mechanic is amazing, I have never seen it, and the camera technique that is fixed based on the scene gives the game a unique personality and I loved it.

    The graphics and animations are good, wish that the lip sync was better because the characters are so beautifully modeled and a good lip sync is all that is missing.
    I have to mention the music that is setting up the mood in all of the scenes the themes of the soundtrack are well chosen and gives a nice touch of personality to every scene.

    Start of the next-gen here! And this game surely proves that. Definitely, a new level of graphics are achieved in this title. I can only imagine what can be built upon this. One special mention would be that the game does not "need" temporal anti aliasing. Some games out there nowadays "need" TAA to be not broken graphically. Hopefully, this game is perfectly fine at 1080p without TAA, even FXAA wasn't needed, no apparent jaggies could be seen. So yeah, finally enjoying a TAA-less, proper game was refreshing. In-door/little scope games do usually outshine other games in the industry, so it is expected from this game to look really good, and honestly, I would say it delivers.

    Graphic options do not scale very good. Only resolution makes a meaningful difference, and it makes the game look really bad.

    1- اللعبة جمليه ونجحت في إحساس اللاعب بالرعب من خلال طريقة اللعب، التصوير والمؤثرات الصوتية على الرغم إنها مو مرعبة بشكل كبير.
    2- أغلب المهام/الألغاز سهلة وما تتطلب إي تفكير وبشكل عام ماكو أي شي صعب باللعبة.
    3- الجزء الثاني من اللعبة ركز بشده على القصة وسرد أحداثها وافتقر لجانب الرعب اللي رسمته اللعبة في الجزء الأول منها.
    4- إذا تبي تلعب اللعبة وتعيش جوها الفعلي فجهز سماعتك، استخدم وحده تحكم (فيها هزاز) وطف الإضاءة.    … Expand

    I joined the Xbox ecosystem with Xbox One X in Summer 2020.I didnt play so many Xbox exclusives.Also i purchased Game Pass Ultimate with Xbox One X.I played The Medium at PC.Because it wasnt compatible with Xbox One X.But The Medium is by far the best Xbox/PC exclusive game that i have ever played.The team made an awesome work.Though    For this sized Studio,The Medium is an Awesome Game

    Everything that's good about it is 10/10 good - the story and how it's told, the voice acting, art direction, graphics, characters, the use of fixed camera, atmosphere and the music(!). The bad is really quite bad and I mean the stealth and the chase sections. Puzzles are really simplistic with a few notable exceptions. Fortunately, they are quite short and the rest more than makes up for it.

The controls of the game feel good. The biggest problem with the Medium is that, its not scary. The marketing team has showed the game as a Psychological Horror game but it just feels like a psychological game. The game just has 1 jump scare. The game's environment is good and the puzzles are of medium difficulty. The game has quite a lot of texture popping bugs and I have experienced them throughout my gameplay. But with the updates rolling in the first week, the issue has reduced a lot.

    Verdict:
    It's a decent game and has an interesting story but isnt engaging and is not scary.

    The dual material/spiritual plane switching game mechanic is what really pulled me in. The game is beautiful in its delivery of graphics, narration, audio and overall design direction.

    Very decent game. I enjoyed it because I like eastern European vibe and abandoned hotels in general, and this game gave me everything.

    The plot is quite interesting, the quests and tasks are somewhat different every time and explore and utilize game mechanics in different ways.

    Definitely, I will recommend this game.

    It has an old school vibe, from the movement to the camera angles. The story's okay, weird and twisted but just okay. They could have done with the running sequences, those are never fun.

    here you play as a medium, you get a call, you go to this creepy hotel to investigate the call, and things don’t get normal from there… reviewing this game was a roller coaster of feelings, as the medim is a roller coaster of quality.. the cutscenes are great, the voice acting, the chracters, the story, all amazing, but the game itself feels really dated, tons of texture pop ins, the game will chug along at times, and overall marianne feels super awkward to control, the cameras, the movements, everything to remind you that despite the acting and cutscenes =, this is indeed not a AAA title, it feels big budget indie, which is fine especially in the hands of bloober team, they are great at creeping you out and building intriguing environments.
    As a medium you can go back and forth between your world and the spirit world, and you get to see both sides at a time, going back and forth to find items or interact with objecst to solve a puzzle or open up an area for the other, it really is a fun little back and forth puzzle game from time to time. However the execution isn’t quite the most enjoyable.. infact overall, The medium is probably one of the least enjoyable horror games ive played in a while, its slow and tedious, these sections while theyre a cool idea, never do anything fresh with it, youre basically doing the alive or dead version of everything you’ve done in horror games before but in accordion from.. Im over dead ends and fixing fuse boxes and finding valves… can horror games come up with literally anything else to do than find the things that’s missing….
    Im so over this type of gameplay, im over being in the same areas for 10-20 minutes just clicking on stuff until I find a missing lever, its boring, borderline painful after a while, and really makes your game feel like a chore.
    Please give me something new, the indie games industry pumps out 20 of these games every year.
    I don’t mind it every once in a while, but when that’s the main hook of your game, I cant.. And with the medium lasting about 6 and a half hours, it feels twice that long with how slow paced it is…
    But ultimately The Medium is saved by its cast of characters and story, I had to see where this was all going, even if it felt like it was going nowhere, enjoy this hotel for the rest of your life.

    This game is definitely gonna be hit or miss for most people, depending on what you’re looking for in it. If you’re searching for some tense horror gameplay or intricate puzzle solving, I would say look elsewhere. But if you are interested in exploring some incredible hellscape environments and unraveling a really interesting story, then The Medium is definitely a game for you.

My main 2 problems with the game were first the constant annoying narration by the main character breaking the 4th wall and explaining to me the gamer how the story is developing, its a cheap technique and it destroys the atmosphere of the game, and second the lack of clever puzzles and heart pumping chasing, it also felt like the narrations that i mentioned previously like i was a dummy that had to be guided through so i don't lose and quit the game.

    Apart from those 2 problems that can easily be fixed in my opinion and were present because the creators wanted the game to be accessible to a broader audience, the game is very good, it has great graphics/animations, a captivating story, great characters /acting and if a 2nd game keeps the all those good things remove the main character narrative and replace it with other more clever ways of explaining the story, better/more clever riddles and more difficult/stressful enemy encounters/chases it can be a 10.    … Expand

    I have mixed feelings about this game. It is good and worth a play through but has some flaws.
    Environments look really nice but character models are flat and could have used more work.
    Also movement is super slow but i feel like they done it on purpose to add suspense. it just didn't work tbh.

    Overall it was a good game.
    Definitely worth playing if you are a Game Pass subscriber.

    the story is very decent, too. it manages a nice balance of predictability and genuine suspense and mystery, very familiar and mundane late-soviet things are nestled well together with some rather screwed up subject matters. if anything, for a foreigner who is interested in Poland, this game feels and plays very polish. being from a neighboring country, I quite liked the painful authenticity of the environment design.

    the characters are quite interesting, too - probably my favorite out of all BT's games. they are solidly written, amazingly acted and have enough charisma to make drudging through the "gameplay" and at times disastrous level design at very least bearable.

    because no matter how competent the game is, how well-animated, no matter how many expensive talents are involved, and how lofty the developer's ambitions are, this is still very much a Bloober Team's game, a stylish, unevenly paced walking simulator with tons of notes, unskippable chases from unkillable monsters who one-hit you and painful, miserable lack of any meaningful gameplay.

    yes, the split-screen level design and puzzles are nice - the first couple of times. same as mirror puzzles. same as "dive" puzzles. 95% of the game is just walking, sometimes breaking into a ridiculously slow jog.

    unfortunately, it's not the "Silent Hill successor" we've been promised. it's Layers of Fear, but in third person. an early 00s puzzle game, but simplistic and boring.

    I really liked the atmosphere and story of this game. There are some technical issues though (crashes, framedrops), but nothing that really breaks the game. Not a big fan of the fixed camera angle. Was expecting a much more 'horrory' game, luckiliy it wasn't that bad ;-)

    Jogo em si é muito bom, jogabilidade old school, porém esse questão de dois mundo ao mesmo tempo e inútil serve apenas para demonstrar poder do xbox , mas o gráfico não e tudo isso, poderiam ter feito algum lance de aproveitar o sdd em vez do vídeo para fazer essa troca dos mundos

    The Medium isn't an unflawed masterpiece. It's got some performance issues on PC and some jankeyness in unexpected places. However it has got this absolutely unique horror atmosphere, beautifully crafted worlds and some absolute heart-string pulling story moments. This is a successful return of the "horror adventure" game style from those golden oldies everyone fondly remembers. Bloober Team has done an outstanding job making this title and it's one hundred percent recommended to all fans of horror.
