I found myself surprised by the charm The Last Tinker oozes at every step, be it the breathtakingly colorful visuals or the varied and exciting soundtrack.

Last Tinker: City of Colors is a charming and very entertaining game. Although the relatively low difficulty level and the cheerful, colorful appearance appeals mostly to young gamers, does not mean that the grown-up... children will not find something that interests them. With about 7 hours of gameplay (add at least an hour or two to find all the secrets), nicely-written scenario full of smart ideas, a successful soundtrack and well-designed characters, no doubt the game is well worth the time you will spend for it.

The Last Tinker: City of Colors is best shared with friends or family who enjoy a good story and pretty artwork. It’s not difficult, it’s not aggressive, and it’s not online, so it definitely belongs in the gentler category of family games like the Lego series.

The Last Tinker: City of Colors is a cheerful game, but starts of dreadfully slow, has boring combat and scanty background music. This hurts the atmosphere. Look past these blemishes, and what remains is a colorful game that entertains for quite some hours.

The Last Tinker: City of Colors is undoubtedly pleasant to look at and play, it just never shines particularly.

The Last Tinker doesn’t play poorly, just unremarkably. And for the type of game it aspires to be—one that sets itself the unenviable task of recapturing the spirit of a genre’s golden age—an experience that is ”just good enough” can feel a bit underwhelming.

The biggest mystery of this colourful world is its intended audience. Adults will dismiss this otherwise decent game as too simplistic, and kids will stop paying attention halfway through.

I love the puzzle-solving epidemic in this game and the usage of different kinds of colors. The puzzles never get too tough although there are a few areas of difficulty spikes but they're quite rare.

Excellent music, in fact, I paid extra to get the OST for this game. I really hope that the gaming community makes more games like this where the world is very atmospheric and you can immerse yourself fully in it.

P.,S. I had played this game last year in Feb. But really wanted to add a review for it. :)

It might not be the deepest game that you can spend hundreds of hours playing. But the beautiful design, hilarious characters (the mushroom fellas especially) and most importantly the political message make this a game EVERYONE should pick up.

It really stands out from the 1.000.000 mediocre, gloomy, AAA action-games these days.

I felt that spirit i have been missing for a long time while playing the game.
It might have small flaws but i can easily oversee them considering the joy i had playing through it.

The art and environment are very well done but the gameplay is just far too simple to be worth my time. I like games that provoke thinking and encourage creativity but this game is a linear theme park. Companion bro is SAAAH CUTE. I bought it on sale because I loved the dev's other game Shadow Tactics and on their website they advertise this game as the winner of over 14 awards, but these are more visual art awards rather than gameplay awards. This game would have been great when I was 10 years old but at this point in my life it doesn't pique my interest. Expand

It's not of the same quality as the games it's compared to (Jak and Daxter, Zelda), and I lost interest after about ten minutes. The character feels awkward and floaty when he runs, like he has no weight to his body. Jumping is automatic (not something you can do at the press of a button) and when it happens it's jarring and unnatural. A lot of little things add up to make the game feel awkward and ugly. I wouldn't recommend it. Expand
