The King’s Bird has a strong conceptual foundation, but the experience falls victim to the “git gud” mentality. It shines when players are allowed to explore the freedom of flight, but that light dwindles over time and is finally snuffed out in the final hours by tragic oversights that have been compounded on for hours.

Once youve managed to get a feel for it (which happens pretty fast) you can fly around the stages like a bird and enjoy Quill singing as she dives along with the music. Since the latest Patch Replays have been added to the game and a lot of bugs and glitches got fixed. There is still some minor things to get mad about and the game is not easy to master but overall the composition of the game is top notch. The story is told completely without the use of voices and words and has a great artistic feel to it. You should definitely give this game the chance to have its impact. After now almost a year i still get back to game often and try to beat my old leaderboard times again to improve further. I fully recommend this title as a classic artsy momentum based physics platformer you will hate and enjoy bringing out your emotion and ambition.

I love it. Few amazing gameplay mechanics that don’t change in the whole game but are exploited along it in unimaginable ways.

Great level design, great art design and better implementation of it, great soundtrack.

Short independent levels perfect for fast game sessions, but you will continue playing for hours.

This game has it all. A masterpiece completelly underrated.
