    Surprisingly underrated horror gem from early PS4 era. Very well designed levels, bosses and overall atmosphere. It's not perfect, but nothing is. Shame that Part 2 completely ignored everything that was great in the first game and went very basic semi-open world route. I didn't like anything from part 2 and seems like a lot people didn't, because it didn't sell well. Pretty sure thereSurprisingly underrated horror gem from early PS4 era.     Great game that surprised me a lot. I came from playing RE8 and I didn't get disappointed. I loved the different situations that had the game mixing horror, boss fight, exploration... It was near to RE8 ( my fav survival horror) The cons are that it feels not very smooth and also the story is blurred. A great game that deserves an 8.

    Modern horror masterpiece! Sadly part 2 sucks, but hopefully they will still make part 3 and make it more like first one.

    Deserves much higher Metacritic score. I haven't played horror games this good since 2014, except for Resident Evil 7,8 and 2 Remake. By the way, the only similar thing about the second game is that they put "2" next to the name of the game. Fortunately, you can finish this game and not play the second game.

    This is what true modern-horror game is supposed to be. Yes, of course it's inspired by silent hill and dead space, but it stands on it's own very well and also takes notes from RE4, as this game was directed by same dude who made RE4. Pretty much modern horror masterpiece. Ignore second game, it's awful.

    Not sure what happened with second game, because it was just trash. But first one is modern horror masterpiece, better than any silent hill after second one and i personally like this one way more than re7.

    Very good game, in fact, one of the better modern horror games. People who dislike it, simply miss the point or just don't understand how to play it.

    WAY better than the horrible lazy soulless second game. The gameplay is really tense, challenging and addicting. The story is way deeper than TEW2.

    One of the best modern horror games, seems kind of underrated or maybe The Evil Within fans just are mature enough to not care about some scores on some random online sites. Overall, this game has fantastic boss fights and cool level designs. Directed by same dude who made Resident Evil 1 (and it's remake) and Resident Evil 4. It's not as good as RE4, but it's still amazing!

    If they make The Evil Within 3, i hope it’s more like first game. Part 2 was awful in my opinion at least, there was no horror or interesting locations. First game is absolute modern-horror masterpiece!

    The Evil Within is one of the best horror games of all time. It's on same level with Dead Space (2008).     why the PC version is this underrated? It's not buggy anymore and we can play it very smoothly. and of course the story, characters and all other things are better than the second one.

    One of the most underrated Horror Masterpieces of all time! This game is absolutely incredible, specially on PC, but also on PS4. It has one of the best selection of boss monsters and regular enemies i have seen in any game ever, maybe only beaten by Resident Evil 4. In depth crafting/upgrading system, one of the best atmospheres of any horror games (yes better than any silent hill) andOne of the most underrated Horror Masterpieces of all time! This game is absolutely incredible, specially on PC, but also on PS4.     The art style and direction of this game are awesome. The game is like experiencing a psychosis, really crazy, bloody, mysterious and highly creative. It's a real thriller. On survival difficulty, it is quite hard. some bosses I had to try 10 times. Levels are quite linear, but the atmosphere is so good that I didn't care.     The Evil Within (PC version) is one of the best Horror Games of all time. Out of this world Boss/Creature designs, unique locations and in-depth weapon upgrade system make this truly a masterpiece.
