I liked this dlc. It's more stealth than action. The gameplay is based on luring the enemies away from you or sneaking past them. It's cool. Pickens approves.

Good DLC. Different mechanics than main game. Stealth based because you can't use firearms. Recommended if you want to know more about the story

With a very interesting and harrowing stealth approach to Evil Within's core, The Assignment proves to be an exemplary DLC. Not only does it explain some of the campaign's more obscure points but it also includes two terrifically tense boss fights. Even if a player did not enjoy the main game so much, the different dynamics of the Assignment make it a very worthwhile proposal for fans of survival horror.

While it may be only three hours long, The Evil Within: The Assignment is a fine slice of DLC.

Taking weapons from the player is a bold choice, one that takes you back to survival horror experiences of old, and that's really something, especially for true fans of the genre.
