Jan 19, 2016The Deadly Tower of Monsters is the latest in ACE Team's Ghastly Menagerie of Interactive Curiosities. Inventive ideas with perspective and the concept of ascending a lavishly decorated outdoor tower put some distance between The Deadly Tower of Monsters and genre conventions, but, really, it's not why you're here. You came for an ambitious descent into Chilean pandemonium and this game holistically satisfies that urgency.

Feb 11, 2016The Deadly Tower of Monsters is a very enjoyable romp.
-
Jan 23, 2016Minor issues aside, The Deadly Tower of Monsters is a pleasant surprise indeed and a particularly impressive budget action game showcasing a lot of creativity.
-
Jan 23, 2016The Deadly Tower of Monsters is an interactive love letter to MST3K but also to those who love the old sci-fi movies that were featured on the show. You’ll have a blast not only playing the title but also listening to the commentary or trying to spot from where all the different elements originate.
-
Jan 19, 2016The Deadly Tower of Monsters is a fleeting experience, but one that no B-movie fan should go without.
-
Jan 22, 2016At its core this is nothing more than common arcade carnage. But the B-movie presentation draws you into this bizarre and trashy world.
-
Feb 26, 2016Nice humor, fierce combat and a very cool concept. They should’ve cut the final stretch and the ending, though.

Feb 1, 2016As a big fan of cinema in general, I had a lot of fun playing The Deadly Tower of Monsters. The game takes you back to the good-old days of movies and has a lot of fun with its B-movie setting. Especially the comments of the “director” that are injected into the gameplay, prove to be a constant source of comedy. Besides that, shoddily improvised movie-sets and stop-motion-like enemies only further add to the game’s charm. But other than its unique tone, The Deadly Tower of Monsters has not that much else to offer. So even with it being only a run-of-the-mill action-game, I can recommend The Deadly Tower of Monsters to every Cinephile.

CD-ActionMar 30, 2016An enjoyable parody of low budget sci-fi movies from the 50s. [03/2016, p.55]
-
Feb 22, 2016B movie humor can't entirely save B level gameplay.
-
Jan 22, 2016A good sense of humor and a humble tribute to classic science fiction movies that tries to give variety to its action, but it still remains a plain game. Full of charm, that’s for sure.
-
Jan 21, 2016It's a short but interesting experience: it has personality, and that really makes it shine in some aspects.
-
Jan 19, 2016As an action game, it’s streamlined and not terribly deep, but the labyrinthine tower itself is an inspired setting and the premise of the game and its excellent execution are fresh enough to fill in the gaps when the combat starts to disappoint.
-
Feb 11, 2016That said, while The Deadly Tower of Monsters might be silly and a little clunky, it’s hard not to root for something that lovingly apes (for lack of a better word) a bygone era so successfully.
-
Jan 19, 2016The Deadly Tower of Monsters is not the tightest 3D hack-and-blast arcade homage you’ll ever play, but it is the only one to feature puppies dressed as deadly hoovers, amazing stop-motion dinosaurs, and set design to rival Forbidden Planet.

Jan 21, 2016At just the length of a double feature, The Deadly Tower Of Monsters left me wanting more. The gimmick might not hold up to a marathon experience, but in the spirit of the B-movies it loves so much, it might be worth exploring in some derivative sequels.
