    игруха просто топич, как-же я в первый раз офигевал и получал удоволствие, во второй раз уже не настолько я был впечетлен, но это реально один из лучших шутеров что я играл, стиль оформления, сюжет, все на высочайшем уровне, но боевка выге всех похвал,мясной сочный, кровавый, рекомендую.игруха просто топич, как-же я в первый раз офигевал и получал удоволствие, во второй раз уже не настолько я был впечетлен, но это реально один из лучших шутеров что я играл, стиль оформления, сюжет, все на высочайшем уровне, но боевка выге всех похвал,мясной сочный, кровавый, рекомендую.

    So in my opinion the game itself is absolutely perfect and great. The story itself was fascinating and interesting. The design itself is so perfect and detailed, all that graphics look like a cartoon. The level design and mechanics are absolutely so perfect and interesting, what great things were these weapons, they felt real and the very ability itself was also very well reproduced. The characters and enemies in the game were fun, each enemy had their powers and lives, which I liked the most. There weren’t that many boss fights, but I liked maybe the bosses could have a different ability. As for the atmosphere of the game, everything is really restored, quite perfectly according to the levels themselves. The game itself explains everything to you perfectly, and you understand everything. Acoustic voice is not the worst fifty / fifty.

    In my opinion, this game was worth buying, and it is worth playing because you can see how the game is perfectly done and everything is in detail. The developers really put a lot of effort into it. Sees a real action, FPS game. I would dedicate myself to this game 9/10.    … Expand

    You will have A LOT of fun in the 6 hours this game lasts. Highly recommend playing on harder difficulty, adds some challenge and pads out the game time by a few hours. Don difficulty took my almost 10 hours which is more than enough. For me, this game supersedes the first game, and does so while being a better    It's perfect for what it is. Brutal, bloody, edgy, fun, short, linear.

    For me, this game supersedes the first game, and does so while being a better game on almost every single level. Graphics are stylish and still hold up to this day, gun play is super fun, darkness powers NEVER get old. I will NEVER get sick of wish boning people or just lopping them in half with a single satisfying swipe from your allies.

    The gore is amazing in this game, balls to the wall in a way that we don't really see as much in video games nowadays. The shooting is perfectly good, with some nice feedback and punch, going hand in hand with the stylized violence and art style nicely. This all feeds in nicely to the surprisingly competent story which you will find yourself being satisfied with way more than you might expect. "Expect" is a really good word to use when describing The Darkness II, mainly because nobody had any expectations for it. The first game is extremely mediocre save for it's amazing premise and creative introduction to the "villains" of the series. If you can call them "villains". They're more like heroes of evil.

    I could go on and on about how much i love this game, but i'll finish with this: if you are in the mood right now to just play a good old balls to the wall gore fest with solid mechanics and heaps of fun, this is probably something you're going to enjoy. If you're also SICK of the alternative options, the military shooter, or the zombie shooter, y'know, pretty much EVERY shooter these days. If you're sick and tired of those, but you still want to play a violent shooter, just without those banal cliche over done themes, then The Darkness II is DEFINITELY going to be something you enjoy, You might even love it. I know i do.

    If that hasn't sold you, nothing will. To really finish up, i'm now going to list the only thing i "dislike" about the game. It's short. I would have loved for even 2 more hours of game here. It would've been the perfect 10/10 (It's still a 10 anyway, but it couldve been the 10.1/10 lol) and sure, a lot of people might find the length disappointing, but looking at it from another perspective, the game is short, sweet, doesnt ever drag to the point you're sick of it, leaves you wanting more. Those don't sound like negative things to me. So, the rest is up to you.

    Хочется отметить, что сюжет довольно прост, но романтичен. И рано или поздно можно догадаться, как обернутся дальнейшие события.

    Игровой процесс развивает механики, заложенные в первой части. Хоть игра и линейная, но локации в ней интересные, с различными декорациями и интерактивными объектами. Объекты можно хватать при помощи теневых щупалец - основной особенностью игры, а потом бросать во врагов или препятствия. Также щупальцами можно притягивать к себе бонусы или хватать противников, с дальнейшей казнью бандитов. Но теневые способности Джеки активны лишь тогда, когда он находится в тени. По этому следует уничтожать источники света при помощи огнестрельного оружия.

    Оружия здесь не так много, в основном оно однотипно, но разные модели можно совмещать и стрелять из двух рук, что вкупе с щупальцами может превратить героя в кровавого палача. Каждые несколько часов продвижения по сюжету будут появляться новые противники. Кто-то будет слепить героя прожектором, кто-то обезоруживать хлыстом. На помощь в этой борьбе придут навыки, которые могут улучшать как теневую составляющую героя, так и обычные способности, вроде владения оружием.

    После прохождения основной игры, можно будет начать новую игру +, в которой с сохранившимися навыками можно будет найти все коллекционные реликвии. Либо же можно пройти особые кооперативные уровни, некоторые из которых доступны и для одиночного прохождения. Это режим "Вендетта", в котором можно выбрать одного из четырёх наёмников, владеющих теневыми артефактами.

    Это отличный шутер, который можно пройти за один вечер, а потом потратить ещё несколько часов на новое прохождение или завершение режима "Вендетта". Интересный сюжет с необычным финалом, отличный стиль комиксов, уникальные способности смогут оставить впечатление на вашем игровом опыте.    … Expand

    Nice - A pretty fun shooter with great action, really cool powers and some unique gameplay elements. Nice art style and really satisfying gore effects.

    Not nice - Really shallow story with too many uninteresting generic mafia-type characters even though the voice acting is solid. Sometimes the cutscenes feel unnecessary and kill the pace.

    Thıs game has a great story writing, good graphics, and good shootıng whıch ıs makıng you to play more but the bad thıng ıs that the story ıs short and 2 endıngs can annoy you but even tho ıf you play ıt more than 2 tımes you wıll stıll lıke ıt so ı recomend you to try thıs game ıt ıs acctually a great game that needed to be played

    Very fun action FPS. Fast and smooth gameplay with some nice art and sound. The story held me even though it’s bit one note. Overall it’s well worth playing in 2019.

    The game was way better than I expected. It has a well-written story, interesting protagonist and a funny companion. This game also has good graphics and music. But game play is a little bit messy, sometimes you don't know what do. And the campaign is about 4 hours long so it's not very long.

    The darkness 2 classic arcade fps game. It has little background story if you carries ,but I don't think that somebody cares more about story than gameplay in arcade game. Is game fun? yeah; Game has some fun enjoyable game mechanics like power which darkness gives you to use, don't want to spoil it.Also game has pretty graphics ,I think game was made on evolution game engine because ofThe darkness 2 classic arcade fps game. The best thing about TD2 is the combat, which incorporates some of the most enjoyable features and mechanics I’ve encountered in a game. The demon arms that Jackie sprouts when he engages The Darkness are great fun to use. You can grab, dismember, and disembowel enemies with ease. You can whip, slash, and decapitate. You can also throw all manner of objects, and it’s especially satisfying to impale enemies with scaffolding poles or to cut them in half with a car door. The weapons are pretty good too, and channelling The Darkness through dual-wielded pistols is as cool as gunplay gets. You’re also accompanied by a side-kick, in the shape of a hilarious Darkling, who farts and wisecracks while jumping on enemies and beating them around the head. What more could you want? Well, there’s a decent story behind the action and the voice acting is good throughout. The art style is similar to that of the Borderlands series and is perfectly suited to a comic book adaptation. On the downside, it is, as already mentioned, rather short. Also, when playing the additional maps you play as different characters, none of whom have the demon arms (although they do have the darkness and can channel it through various weapons), and consequently they do not offer quite as much fun as Jackie does. Nevertheless, TD2 is enjoyable throughout and I highly recommend it.    … Expand

    Totally worth playing and its a bit underrated. The game has cool character with nice story to it and fun humor. The shooting is really satisfying and cool. The Graphics may look a bit dull at first but when you play for about 30 minutes you will appreciate the graphics and the idea behind it.

    The game is not too long nor is it too short. If you like going around shooting like Rambo and    Totally worth playing and its a bit underrated. The game has cool character with nice story to it and fun humor. The shooting is really satisfying and cool.     Very short game and indeed indepth and the story line will most likely mess with your head. Kind of gives a different feel considering it is supposed to be a game about a man going insane. Endings are weird, won't spoil anything. Still waiting for the darkness 3

    I picked this game up for 26p in the Humble Bundle sale and I loved it, way more than I expected to. The voice acting is some of the best in recent memory and the script is really well written. All the characters feel so real and alive which really adds to the experience. The campaign belongs to a breed of story-driven, cinematic shooter that I have always loved, and indeed does a good job of making you feel terrifyingly powerful while still challenging you to fight creatively. And when that's over, you have an excellent co-op mode with a group of four entertaining characters, each with their own distinct Dark weapon. Especially endearing to me is the psychopathic, perpetually drunk Scotsman Jimmy Wilson, armed with his foe-cleaving Dark Axe that he can throw and summon back to him at will.… Expand

    I got this game as part of a Humble Bundle, and there it sat in my Steam library for over a year. Last week, mostly out of boredom, I decided to give it a try, A very pleasant surprise, indeed. Overall the game is a linear action/horror first person shooter similar to games like Bulletstorm in it's (fun as hell) selection of ways to kill the enemy. The story is no Oscar winner, but keepsI got this game as part of a Humble Bundle, and there it sat in my Steam library for over a year. Overall the game is a linear action/horror first person shooter similar to games like Bulletstorm in it's (fun as hell) selection of ways to kill the enemy. The story is no Oscar winner, but keeps one entertained, and the skills wheel makes you want to give the rather short 6 hour campaign another run. Graphics can't compete with with other major titles out there, BUT the cartoony graphics style fits perfectly to this game. If part 3 would come out I'd buy it at launch.....… Expand

    They have many of these hitlist missions and they can be played with friends as well and as any of the 4 new characters. All together there is MORE than enough content and Vendetta campaign and hitlists are not tacked on they are fully fleshed out and fun. Overall this is a very enjoyable FPS and it deserved more in sales and more from the reviewers i.e. game informer giving it a 7.They have many of these hitlist missions and they can be played with friends as well and as any of the 4 new characters.     This is one of those games that I would put into the same classification of bulletstorm. It is just plain fun. I mean the gun-play is great and the addition of the darkness powers makes it even more satisfying to mow through hordes of enemies. The story is smart and the characters are interesting. It is somewhat short but a great game none the less.

    Pretty good graphics, fun gunfights, good performance, little to no bugs, decent amount of content - worth buying. I enjoyed this game and recommend to those interested in a story driven first person shooter.

    Ok, the game itself its quite good. It has an amazing story, especially for a more or less Mafia tale, the characters are all top notch, and all the lines are well preformed. The graphics look pretty good, with some bad textures from time to time, but its all cell shaded, which makes it look a lot like Borderlands. But that would only be if Borderlands was bloody. No joke, there was lessOk, the game itself its quite good. It has an amazing story, especially for a more or less Mafia tale, the characters are all top notch, and all the lines are well preformed. The graphics look pretty good, with some bad textures from time to time, but its all cell shaded, which makes it look a lot like Borderlands. But that would only be if Borderlands was bloody. No joke, there was less gore in saving private Ryan. Limbs get torn off, people get impaled, and its all in this bloody mess. Which is good, by the way. Anyway, the gameplay is very arcade like shoot em up, with your demon arm to help impale people. Even on the lowest difficulty setting, its still a hard game, coming from a seasoned DkS2 vet,and well, ya. The only gripe I have with the gameplay is that ammo is semi-scare in early game, which well, just feels weird in an FPS.
    Overall, if you find the game on a sale, pick up up without hesitation.
    If you dont, well, here comes one of my only gripes. Single Player length. It will last only about 6 hours on Med. I get that its not that big of a deal, but well, for a game with not to much replay value...I mean, it does have a coop mode, but when I picked it up, the coop was dead.    … Expand

    The Darkness II is indeed short, but it does achieve part of its goals: a few fun hours for a rainy spring afternoon, with some interesting characters, a dark story and, most of all, two demonic arms always hungry for beating hearts.
