    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. ''Little Hope'', psychological horror at its finest, is Supermassive's best effort yet. The mysteries, unanswered questions and never-ending scares will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout. Piece by piece you puzzle the story together, but there's always that feeling of uncertainty. ''Am I right? No... it must be this other theory. Or not? Let's take another look at my clues.'' You quickly become attached to every single one of the characters, as truly unpleasant as they start off, and when they meet their demise at the hands of their own demon you simply feel bad. Until the very end. That big plot twist. The adventure of ''Little Hope'' is nothing more but a PTSD-driven schizophrenic episode of Anthony, who heavily struggles to deal with the deaths of his entire family at the start of the game. It's easy to brush it off as a farce, as a moment where you think to yourself ''Oh, but none of my choices mattered? None of these deaths mattered?'' until you truly look back on the story and how it all ties together. Because it's so much bigger than that, there's so much more to it. Yes, the family was dead from the very start. But it's a greater story about battling inner demons, Anthony's demons. The witch trials? Nothing more but Anthony trying to find the right person to blame. Was it his mother? His sister? His dad perhaps? No, they all died innocently. We know Megan did it, but why? The abusive priest finally pushed her over the edge. It makes you feel empty and devastated in the most heartbreaking way, and a story with a purposeful ending does that. And at the same time it makes you think. Are people who do terrible things, because terrible things have been done to them, victims or villains? Little Hope is a big success in every aspect imaginable by making you question every single thing you have witnessed and done. It's more than just a scary slasher game with monsters and jumpscares for you to play on Halloween eve (with all respect to Until Dawn). It's social commentary filled with gutting emotion. A big step-up from the slightly underwhelming predecessor Man of Medan and it makes me beyond excited for what they come up with next.… Expand

    The game, as always, amazed me that I liked the graphics, the plot, and in the end the surprise with the ending, I did not even expect. Well done. The game is good as always. Continue in the same way. I look forward to continuing

    От разработчиков Man of Medan и из серии The Dark Pictures. Все ещё имеются некоторые проблемы с анимацией, но их уже заметно меньше. Хорошая локализация, не прогнувшаяся под толеpaстoв. Отличный, интригующий сюжет, несколько обескураживающая концовка, но все имеет логику. Отлична показана связь событий,    Очень хорошо.     Better than both Until Dawn and it's predecessor in the Anthology, Man of Medan.

    The series seems to have found it's feet, and for the genre this game did everything well. The facial animations are far superior to the previous games, and I didn't experience any sort of "uncanny valley" feeling as I did with the previous games.     Из плюсов
    1)Интересный сюжет (Действительно захватывает, на протяжении всей игры держит в напряге, до конца игры не понимаешь, в чем же дело, и пожалуй это один из самых важных факторов). 2)Неплохая атмосфера(Еще с трейлера понял, что с атмосферой проблем не будет.     Из плюсов
    1)Интересный сюжет (Действительно захватывает, на протяжении всей игры держит в напряге, до конца игры не понимаешь, в чем же дело, и пожалуй это один из самых важных факторов).

    2)Неплохая атмосфера(Еще с трейлера понял, что с атмосферой проблем не будет.
    Заброшенный город, ночной лес, густой туман. Отличное звуковое сопровождение, приятная графика. Все это вместе создает классную и мрачную атмосферу)
    3)Прикольная концовка ( Концовка тронула. Ощутил те же эмоции, что и при просмотре фильма "Остров проклятых", кто смотрел тот поймет. Многим не зашло, но как по мне, в данном случае лучше придумать было трудно. Если выбирать между реализмом и мистикой, я предпочту именно первое. Хотя такая концовка, как многие подмечают, обесценивают все твои решения и попытки всех спасти. С этим согласен, переигрывать желания не остается вовсе, но опять же, если все это объяснили мистикой, я бы точно разочаровался)
    Из минусов:
    1)Много багов (От прерывающихся и не переведенных диалогов до невозможного управления на клаво-мышке и частых вылетов. Играть исключительно на геймпаде. Если нет геймпада, то придется страдать на мышке, так как на клаве управление забагованное. Во время диалогов курсор телепортируется в верхний левый угол, и с этим ничего нельзя поделать. Надеюсь, будут все фиксить, и перед выпуском следующей части, хорошенько затестят игру)
    2)Плохо раскрыты персонажи (суть в том, что лично мне было плевать, умрут они или нет. В том же Антил даун такого не было, и максимально сильно хотелось сохранить жизнь каждому. Возможно причина кроется в том, что игра слишком короткая, возможно разрабы разучились это грамотно делать. Но факт остается фактом. Эта проблема была в Мен оф медан, тут она никуда не делась)
    3)Много тупых моментов и бессмысленных диалогов (но это можно оправдать тем, что ГГ был шизофреником, и все эти диалоги и действия он придумывал у себя в голове, поэтому они такие не логичные и глупые. Но если они действительно старались сделать все четко, и у них вышло это, то в таком случае это фиаско)
    4)Не чувствуется интерактивность(Ну это вообще разочарование. Никакой свободы действия. Тупо практически всю игру идешь по прямой дороге, по бокам иногда встречаются дома. Ну сделайте более открытый мир, допустим развилки на дороге, на лево и на право. Ну или хоть что то, чтобы игрок почувствовал хоть какую то свободу. А по факту нас просто направляют всю игру в определенном направлении и все. В этом плане разрабы за 6 лет (с выхода с выхода Антил дауна) ни капли не прогрессировали, просто топчутся на месте. Ну и бессмысленность со спасением персонажей так же убивают интерактивность)    … Expand

    As always, Supermassive Games knows how to build a scary, gloomy, highly detailed atmosphere (the graphics are extremely good) and with a very well-crafted soundtrack. The story intrigues you to the end, having an ending that, although it may not please some, explains all the details that remained unexplained throughout the game and give an ending to the story.
    I thought the game flowed better than Man of Medan, with improved graphics and movements, at the same level or even better than Until Dawn (PS4 Exclusive).
    With a lot of re-playability valuable, I would recommend to anyone that likes story-driven games, or anyone who wanna have a different experience from the usual AAA games.

    Если сравнивать с Man of Medan, то Little Hope можно назвать почти шедевром, история игры намного увлекательнее. Игру прошёл за один присест, для меня это большая редкость, герои частенько несут ахинею и ведут себя как дегенераты, не спишите клеймить игру и обвинять в тупости, при повторном прохождении вся эта ахинея обрастает смыслом. Про графику и геймплей говорить смысла не вижу,Если сравнивать с Man of Medan, то Little Hope можно назвать почти шедевром, история игры намного увлекательнее.     Неплохая игра получилась на выходе. Сюжет держит до самого конца, не отпускает от монитора, +- 8 часов игры и Вы увидите первую концовку.     Si has jugado Until Dawn o Man of Medan ya sabes a que vienes cuando compras Little Hope, son juegos con un genero entre el cine y el videojuego en el que la historia es la que lleva el peso del entretenimiento, no tanto la jugavilidad que aunque reducida si la hay, de los tres para mi este es el que tiene un argumento mejor y mas sorpresivo aunque se me ha hecho muy muy corto, si no fueraSi has jugado Until Dawn o Man of Medan ya sabes a que vienes cuando compras Little Hope, son juegos con un genero entre el cine y el videojuego en el que la historia es la que lleva el peso del entretenimiento, no tanto la jugavilidad que aunque reducida si la hay, de los tres para mi este es el que tiene un argumento mejor y mas sorpresivo aunque se me ha hecho muy muy corto, si no fuera por la duración le pondría mucha mas nota.… Expand

    Good game since mid final. I play in this game with my friend and It was funny and sometimes strainded. This god expirience and i can not call this game bad.

    It's a great game , i like it never felt I wasted my time playing, nice build up of characters and narrative. For now one of the best of this sequel. (Hadn't play yet "House of Ashes" and "Evil in me")

    I was sure Little Hope will improve significantly upon the first installment in The Dark Pictures series, but the developers opted for the bare minimum. The story is more interesting, the ending is more surprising, and the character cast is better. There are also some technical improvements. Little Hope is decent, but still fails to provide things I expect from a good horror game, like more engaging gameplay, interesting plot twists (Until Dawn!), and a real sense of terror.     While it doesn’t do anything new and even scales back its pure horror atmosphere, Little Hope greatly impresses in other ways with a more intriguing narrative and incredibly tense – and fun – interactive sequences. If you’re new to Supermassive’s games, this may be the best jumping-in point so far.

    Little Hope is a slight improvement over Man of Medan. It’s still not scary at all, but at least it's less annoying than the first game. This time around, Supermassive wrote a better story, used decent camera angles, and purged awkward jokes (dumb "screamers" are still in there, though).
