The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood is a gem among indie games and one of the best narrative driven games I've played. There wasn't one boring moment in the entire story and I got emotional several times from start to finish. Deconstructeam was simply excellent in everything it tried to with this game.

The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood is a masterwork of narrative and character, positing impactful questions while grounding everything against a backdrop of superb card-building intertwining with its story and moral dilemmas.

Deconstructeam has created its best game yet with The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood, further cementing itself as one of Devolver Digital’s strongest studios. Every complex theme in the narrative, whether that’s mental health, isolation, trans or human rights, is handled with grace and written so beautifully it feels like prose on screen in front of you. Magnificent and captivating too is the pixel art and animation, distinguishing each witch and highlighting charming quirks. Never have I played a game so personal and handcrafted for me and never have I felt so fostered and supported in creativity and my livelihood through the simple magical medium of a video game. Becoming my own witch, crafting away at some cards, and settling in for some comfy vibes is something special. Something special that has to be experienced. Your must-play video games of 2023 aren’t blockbuster hits. They’re titles like this, needing to be seen to be believed and never done before.

Developer Deconstructeam's latest game is a bold experience in which all of the systems manage to beautifully fall into place. It successfully weaves its magic to create something that is rather special and mesmerising, elevated by a unique twist to deck-building and packed with emotion. Fortuna's journey undoubtedly ranks as one of my highlights of the year, and shouldn't be overlooked.

Using the tarot as a means to open our minds and hearts to other realities, and framed in a world with a fascinating mythology and history, The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood is one of the most powerful narrative experiences of recent times.

Deconstructeam’s five years spent on The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood has resulted in one of the most ingenious games ever made; if you’re into tarot, I know you’ll agree with this assessment. From its aesthetics to its mechanics, from its story to its impact, The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood is a one-of-a-kind experience made with love by video game artisans. Don’t let The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood’s understated beauty and vibes fool you — it’s easily in my top 5 games this year and is clear GOTY material, and if you’re ready to ponder the mysteries of a cosmic witch coven, I’m certain it’ll be one of your favorites too.

The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood is one of those games I wish got made more often. Rather than spending dozens of hours simply being ok, it chooses to spend what little time it has being fantastic. It’s the kind of game that sticks with you for ages after you’ve put it down.

For the most part, The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood is an absolutely wonderful interactive fiction adventure game. It's compelling, features genuine humour and emotion, has unique and ingenious mechanics, and importantly, is beautifully animated.

The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood is an amazing narrative journey exploring fate, politics, isolation, friendship and more, filled with a stellar cast and great writing and music, but the tarot card creation is what will easily have players addicted for hours, and the way it ties into the main story is done superbly. It makes for a truly unique adventure game that’s not to be missed out on, especially for those looking to get creative, go nuts and craft the motorcycle wolf card of their dreams.

I loved this game. The story is engrossing, the art is terrific, and the emotional impact is undeniable. I was a little bored by the election arc, but it still had me engaged. Card crafting is somewhat nebulous at times, but this is likely for the best. After all, if it was laid out nice and clean, it wouldn’t feel as mystical. You’re making a brand new form of divination. It’s normal for some elements to feel distant and strange. The game is touching, it hooked me, and creatively energized me. If you’re looking for more magic and mystery in your life, check out The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood. You won’t regret it.

The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood is a game that feels distinctly and unapologetically human in the best way possible. Despite some teething issues, its charming characters and enthralling branching narrative make it an excellent follow-up to The Red Strings Club.

The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood is about the forgotten, punished, and lost finding their footing once again, reclaiming authority and placement in their world. Do they feel vengeful towards their captors or betrayed by the lost connections who now casually darken their door with a smile? Do they punish themselves for their actions, or blame it on the broken system they now seek to change? Don’t allow the colorful outfits and smiling faces to fool you, as The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood can form a rather insidious narrative dependent on player input, to make for an entirely original and rewardingly rich adventure.

The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood is a unique game. It starts with a Faustian bargain and constantly adds fun and surprising ideas. I liked all the many witches I encountered and their stories, as well as the larger ethical questions gamers have to engage with. Crafting cards is a surprisingly fun process with a lot of variety. The pace of the game's final, more political section felt a little off. But the main narrative is very good, with complex choices and some tense divination moments. I liked how The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood created immersion, explored relationships, and forced me to make some tough decisions.

The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood crafts a story that encapsulates the feelings of being restricted while nudging players towards a place that may feel uncomfortable yet relatable. It is a story worth experiencing as choices begin to matter and fate rests in your hands.

In a market with so many deck-building games, leave it to Deconstructeam to turn the paradigm upright and create a card-builder, a brilliant outlet for player expression. The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood is a stimulating crash course in coven politics of all kinds: identity, community, and straight up politics-politics.

Whether you're truly getting to co-author Fortuna's story isn't always clear, but then divination is an ambiguous practice - and here, a terrifically enjoyable one. [Issue#389, p.121]

The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood is a hugely engaging narrative adventure, even if you have little actual interest in the tarot. Sporting multiple endings, it tells a tale that will stay with you well after you’ve set your virtual deck down. Just don’t make deals with any space lobsters, okay?

The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood is an intimate story about overcoming isolation, rebuilding your future, and finding community that will resonate with many. The game’s card creating mechanics will be perfect for the artistically inclined, and are welcoming to those lacking the skill. Deconstructeam surprised me with the variety of outcomes that the card divination sections offer, and I’m looking forward to jumping into the game again and spending more time with Fortuna and Ábramar.

This is a game where you play with cards – but it is not a ‘card game’. This is a narrative adventure where your outcomes and relationships manifest by way of interactions, and the cards will absolutely influence such a thing. It is divination by its very definition – seeking knowledge of the future by supernatural means. That future is yours to mold by the choices you make and the connections you shape.

The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood offers the chance to explore mysticism, tarot reading and philosophical ideas, taking you on a seven to eight hour journey of self-reflection. However, if you are looking for a compelling plot, engaging characters and a relaxing experience, this may not be the best option. The game deals with heavy themes and the story lacks significant interest.

Deconstructeam packs an excellent narrative adventure in the sign of a deck of cosmic tarot open to the creativity of the player. If the mechanics of creation remain too hermetic in its results, you can be sure that The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood will have, always and in any case, something interesting to say, thanks to the excellent level of writing and the interesting plot premises created by the team. Perhaps Jordi De Paco and his associates could have been more incisive on some occasions, but the stories of Fortuna and her sorcerer’s coven remain fascinating and entice to play much more than a game in the deep cosmos.
  29. Overall, I enjoyed my time with Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood, but I couldn’t stop thinking about what it could be. Some tweaks to the formula would lead to a much stronger game, though the game at its core is a fantastic and innovative idea, and gave plenty of new concepts to excite me.

The Cosmic Wheel Sisterhood shows us what women can be when they are free to be who they are, liberated from arbitrary restrictions on their lives. It is a feminist, progressive, intersectional game, one that celebrates women in every form. It made me feel connected to the world around me, and that’s a huge accomplishment.

Deconstructeam delivers once again. It is a story of the self, of the image we want to give and of the memory, but also of hate, worry or fear. All with such a firm hand when it comes to telling you a fantastic story with a lot of reality, and a hilarious deck-building system. [Recommended]

I played the demo and was pretty hyped.

The first chapters are also really great, the game has depth, doesn't throw the message in your face, just shows you different fates and I felt deeply touched, but that changed just after half

Romance felt extremely forced (wtf pacing) and the fun and message lagged behind at a certain point

after the last chapter i would like to say: why do you have to hate men? why do you have to seem to include everyone?

at the beginning i really thought this is about the deeper connection between women, that all decisions have meaning, that every fate counts, but in the end i was disappointed how much that was slapped in my face, a pity

The cosmic wheel - Sisterhood is a life altering experience.

For the past 6 years now, I have been struggling. The transgender question was at the forefront of my mind all this time, asking me wether I am or want or could or should or would.
This may be the most uplifting story about women I have had the pleasure of experiencing so far.
I won't spoil much, but there is a transgender character in this story.
She was accepted, and she didn't have to justify it. No one questioned her, or called it a decision. And after experiencing this, I can say with confidence that I am going to follow my path. I know now, that I should not hold myself back. I should be who I want to be, and not let the discourse around it all make me think and reconsider and question and effectively ruin myself.

In ten, or twenty years, when someone asks me what the most life-changing thing that happened to me was, I will be able to say with confidence that it was a Night in August of 2023, in a London Hotel while browsing the Nintento e-shop and finding a game about witches.

I will be a woman, the way I want to be.

    I will be myself.

And Fortuna and her sisters will be with me.

It hates good pacing and decent writing almost as much as it hates men. Unless your hair is purplse, your gender is Star, and you identify as a pansexual unicorn with the pronouns zhe/zhur (and you hate good dialog and deep storytelling), you should probably avoid this.
