    Impressive heritage and a handful of neat ideas bubble beneath this co-op horror, though they're both ultimately squandered.

    I still love The Blackout Club for its ambition, even when its basic design or lack of polish fails me. It’s a wonderfully weird game that swings for the fences on creepy teen horror and social features, and that makes up for so many of its stumbles.
  3. The game offers an immediately recognisable concept, that manages to innovate and surprise, and it’s entirely unlike anything else I’ve played before. Just like a secret clubhouse, it’s likely to lose its allure if you spend all your time there – but it’s exciting as hell to to visit in a snatched moment.

    If you sell me a product telling me that it has a singleplayer mode, and after the tutorial I begin to understand that not only do I have toIf you sell me a product telling me that it has a singleplayer mode, and after the tutorial I begin to understand that not only do I have to be always online, but can't really play the game anymore because not only is there basically no player base, the servers are down half of the time and it's borderline broken,

    ...well, then this is what you get in return.
