Aside from all the blind "Indi3 L0v3" floating around everything Edmund McMillen does (and eats) I'm pretty positive The Basement Collection can be described in few words, and I allow myself to borrow said few words from FloppiZock's Metacritic review: "A little collection of cute games".

Pretty neat collection of Flash Games (i believe by the same game designer?). All are pretty depressing.

    En Resumen:
Would not Recommend All, but there are Some Pretty Cool Short Games.

    5.5 / 10 - Nice mini games
    (after 10 hours of playing)

A nice curiosity, but it doesn't work out as a separate product. There are 9 games and some are very short

This one’s not only for fans of old-school hard-core 2D platforming, but also for those being open to experimental games with unusual topics. Edmund McMillen’s indie games contained in The Basement Collection provide the proper stuff for some entertaining hours. Just the responsiveness of the controls could be improved a little.
